Nigerians should ask "where is boko haram getting funds" danzuki might be the answer. Our soldiers are not getting weapon and boko-haram are getting the best weapon in the market"

Is boko haram richer than the country called Nigeria?

I don't see how the "recovery" of 3 guns and a mere $40,000 adds any value or spice to the DSS invasion of his house. As a retired senior military officer and NSA for that matter, you would expect him to have guns for personal protection, so what? Then $40k is roughly N10 million. That can't even buy a good car these days; the pure water Toyota Prado that litters Abuja streets costs at least N15 million. Even many mistresses and high class ashawos in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja have that in cash or jewellery in their rooms, so big deal?

Tell us something more meaningful. If he embezzled billions of dollars, where is the evidence? Where is the money trail?
Does Dazuki operate a bank for him to have around 10 million naira cash lying fallow in his house?

This APC propaganda is just so annoying. Who is the source? What is the big deal in finding $40k in Sambo's home? Was he not preparing for Sallah feast? Is he a poor man? Is it not commensurate with his Salary? Is he not a former Colonel and NSA? Is he not entitled to rifle? This is propaganda that we shall address

Nothing can justify the invasion of any Nigerian's privacy and subsequent house arrest without any charges or warrant of arrest. It has never happened in Nigeria since the last 16 years. Now his passport is seized without a court order. It is barbaric and smacks of military mentality. If Sambo has broken any law, arrest him lawfully and charge him to court. Shikena. No Nigerian no matter who you are has the right to take laws into his own hands. Not even our President!

What is $40k? How much is Sambo's annual earning and allowance? How much is his pension? Are you aware that he's a Sokoto Sultanate Prince and heir apperant to the throne? Do you know the wealth of his family? A man of Dasuki's stature with $40k in his home is modest. $40k is about N8m. Even some mid level oil workers spend more than these for weddings. Did you talk about the poor when Buhari spent N27m ($300k) just to buy APC form?

PS: If the $40k was for Sallah, the northerners are known for giving alms and feeding crowds on festive days like Salah. In fact, the $40k won't go anywhere.

You can Imagine how Jonathan turned the military very useless all because of Dasuki's greed.
Baba Buhari, please make sure Sambo Dasuki vomits the money he stole. he must not be allowed to go free.
I just seem to wonder if the Dasuki's are born thieves? I remember vividly how Sambo's father, the former sultan of sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki was dethroned as the sultan for embezzlement of funds by Abacha in 1996 or so. It was very shameful to see a whole Sultan shamefully dethroned for corruption.

Alhaji Ibrahim
Dasuki
The Jokolo interview: Abacha
deposed Dasuki over Swiss money.

Ten years after his removal, fresh insights have emerged on
the circumstances that led to the deposition of Alhaji
Ibrahim Dasuki as the Sultan of Sokoto by the regime of the
late General Sani Abacha.
Simply put, Abacha had an axe to grind with Dasuki, so
says Alhaji Mustapha Jokolo, the deposed Emir of Gwandu.
Jokolo in the second part of his exclusive interview with
Sunday Sun which begun last week claimed that
disagreement over an undisclosed amount of money, which
was held in a Swiss bank account was partly responsible for
the deposition of Dasuki by Abacha.
While denying playing any role in the removal of Dasuki as
was widely reported, he said Abacha had issues with Dasuki
before becoming Head of State over some funds which
were being held in a Swiss accout.
According to him, “Aliyu Dasuki, his (Ibrahim) newphew and
son-in-law who is married to his daughter was classmate to
General Abacha in Kano. I don’t know whether primary or
secondary. They were classmates and friends. It was
Abacha who introduced Aliyu to General Babangida. And
through him, Aliyu was getting contracts, military contracts.
He was a businessman. Now, Aliyu was very close to
Abacha.
“Only God knows what went on between the two of them.
So, any business that was going on, Aliyu was the front. So,
Aliyu became sick, terminal illness, he eventually died.
Abacha came to claim that there was some money that
Aliyu was keeping for him in a Swiss account. Sultan Dasuki
was then the Sultan of Sokoto. Sultan Dasuki told him that if
it was true that he had any money with Aliyu, he should
swear to an oath, then he would arrange for them to get the
money. That is the Qu’aranic injunction, that if a person
dies and you want to make any claim out of his possession,
you have to swear an oath. Sultan Dasuki was justified in
that.
But Abacha felt this was business between two friends
which was an illegal business which did not require oath.
They did not swear to any oath because it violates the
Qu’aranic injunction. If you did business, you should record
it in writing, but they did not. There was no evidence for
Sultan Dasuki to give this money to Abacha.”

You don't understand how intelligence works. The guy's Nigerian accounts must all have been frozen. And the man will only have access to funds abroad.

The man was obviously trying to escape out of the country. That was the reason that cash and his passport was seized.

The main objective is to recover the public fund ear-marked and disbursed to him but was never put to use.

Anybody asking for evidence and why democratic principles are not been observed, should,

1. give me an evidence that the woman you call mummy is actually your mother.

2. Tell me if any probe on misappropriation of public fund subjected to democratic process ever achieved it's desired result under GEJ. How many committee did he set up in his regime to probe one case of misappropriation or the other? Was any resolved?

Since we desire a different result, we must learn to do things differently. And the approach is the adoption of what I call "the concept of expediency". It is not always right to sideline democratic process but could also be expedient to sideline it when the desired result is for the interest of the Nigeria citizenry.

All actions and inactions of Nigeria leadership that has human face is OK by me.

God bless Nigeria.

You don't get justice by recourse to impunity. Offenders no matter how guilty their offence is must be treated with respect and dignity. if in course of fighting for justice a 'supposedly good leader' set a bad precedence, tomorrow another terrible leader comes in and use the structure he used to perpetrate evil. Furthermore impunity when left unquestioned gradually leads to anarchy. When you too are picked and treated with disdain, there will be no one to defend you even if it can be proven you are innocent. It is for the good of all that impunity must not be allowed to stay. Dasuki until proven guilty must be treated with utmost respect and dignity. This is basic tenet of moral law - You don't confront evil with another evil. It doesn't work on the long run.
