Goddex: You are the dog yourself if you believe such poo journalism from Sahara who cannot even be specific about the President's so-called absence? But, Goddex, why have you chosen to disbelieve the story outright? Why are you doing the job of Dr Doyin Abati for them? SR carries a story that has not been rebutted by either of the two hacks and you are quick to condemn the messenger, leaving the message. Fact is many Nigerians, including various 'proper' newspaper houses in Nigeria pace reliance on SR for their daily news about our country. For me, there are only two questions- 1. Did GEJ fulfil his obligation by reading his perch yesterday at the AU? 2. If the answer s no, why? Surely, that's not too much or Nigerians to demand from their elected representative? |
Keshi has now managed three different African countries- namely Togo, Mali and now Nigeria. This is also his third AFCON as a national team manager. In these periods, he has now played total of 8 matches and has not managed a SINGLE win. The Togolese and Malian sides he managed never went beyond the first round even though the Malian side contained very good players. Our last two matches have followed the same stern- we scored a goal and sat on it inevitably leading to equalisers. Our passing and movement were poor and we were playing long balls to short players. His team selection was poor (why was Odemwingie dropped? On current form, Martins is better than Uche- so why didn't he invite martins? etc) . As someone who follows football, i am savvy enough to take defeats on the chin as long as i see the general picture as promising. However this is not the same with Keshi team as they have drawn the two matches in eminently avoidable manner. As a player, I thoroughly admired Skippo and I was one of those who believed he should get the opportunity to manage the Eagles. However I am beginning to think that perhaps he is not good enough (yet) to manager at the highest level. |
[quote) surprisingly though he had an excellent command of English .[/quote]What is suprising in an English teacher having and excellent command of the English language? |
Foyanmun: In the last few months, after a number of big (often sad) incidents, supporters of Pastor TB Joshua had trooped onto the Blogosphere to gleefully assert that their man predicted the occurrence of the incidents. Quotes were often thereafter trumpeted as proofs of his clairvoyance. Many people, including this poster, tend to take this with a pinch. Now the AFCON is about to start, can any follower of TB Josuha come out with his prophecy- unequivocal please- which clearly indicates who will win the AFCON?TB Joshua has again come out to say that he warned Keshi to tighten Eagles defence against Burkina Faso- otherwise they (Burkinabe) will score! This is patently ridiculous in many regards. First- how is warning a coach that he should tighten his defence amounts to a prediction? That is no prediction at all. Secondly, what exactly is the point of Joshua's predictions? It is either he saw by clairvoyance that the Burkinabe would equalise or he didnt. If he saw that the Burkinabe would equalise- it is either he had the spiritual power to prevent the equaliser or he doesnt. If he had the power to prevent the equaliser, he should have come out and say so. If there is nothing he could do about it, he should also come out clearly about it. This equivocal, safe 'prediction' that he warned Keshi about Burkina Faso is arrant nonsense to me. By the way can Joshua come out now and tell us the result of Friday's match against Zambia? |
gbosaa: You people have come again with all this stories about TB Joshua, someone posted a thread asking what he said about yesterdays match, none of you responded,You lots always seem to post after every match has ended with your fake news. Thanks Gbosaa, i did send a post where i raised the issue, but as you have said, none of his fans came with any reasonable reply. Now we have this. I totally agree with your observations. However i find it scary that the man actually has Keshi's number and they discussed the match immediately before kick off and Joshua is referred to as Keshi's spiritual confidant. Hmmm. We are in trouble. That means Joshua is effectively our manager- if he instructs Keshi to recall Yekini to the starting lineup, Skippo will beg God to ressurrect Ye-King! ![]() |
Smooyis, what has Joshua's attraction to foreigners got to do with my question? I asked a simple, straightforward question and you have responded with a load of non sequitur. If you tell me Joshua's predictions for AFCON now and come the end of the tournament, he is spot on, I'll look stupid doubting him, won't I? My point is, we only seem to read of validation of Joshua's predictions after the events have taken place. You can go ahead and prove me wrong. |

Abeg folks, how do you say I love you in Auchi language? |
@Nedostic, you are right. I remember how Chidi Imoh used to routinely defeat Linford Christie at many of the pre-Olympic Meets only to burn himself out by the time of the real thing. I hope Blessing realises this. Wish her all the best. |
@Maclovington, thanx for your advice and suggestions, most appreciated. |
I am about to relocate to Nigeria from Holland. I have an eight year old Benz ML320 which i have been using for the last 18 months. Is it a good idea if i ship this vehicle home or is it advisable to sell it and buy a Japanese brand instead? Suggestions from Naija residents who have actually used ML320 in Nigeria will be highly appreciated. |
' 'A lot of people only celebrate their successes and not their mistakes”What does he mean by this sentence? Why should anyone celebrate mistakes? Does this man truly has a Phd? |
