Cattle production by private individual is what it is: a private business. Govt should not spend a dime in establishing ranch or colony for individuals using tax payers' money, or oil money obtained from elsewhere.

See this ranch, Pilgrim Ranch, in Abia State. The man is from Umuahia, but he went to Isuochi town in Abia State, bought land, fenced it, and is stocking it with animals. The cattle stocking is slow, but it's growing. The goat, pig and dog husbandry are quite advanced. The money used for all of these investments is his money; he may even have taken a loan; but even if he did, a loan is a loan: it must be paid back. Fulani should do same. In fact, they should come to this man for lessons on how to raise animals in the 21st century.

Indeed, he organizes lectures on modern animal husbandry and these lectures have taken place at Ibadan (IITA), Lagos, Enugu, PH, Abuja.

I prefer free range cows. The issue is the destruction and violence. The alternative is not to cage the animals.

You don't even have to cage the animals. You can free range them in a fenced area. These Fulani should buy land, register it, fence it, and grow forage (grass), and stock their animals there. They can rotate the animals in subsections of the forage to allow browsed areas to regrow.

Principal not returning to Ballou HS amid investigation into alleged grade fixing


WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
The principal at Ballou High School in D.C. will not be back with the school amid the investigation into possible grade fixing at the school.

It was announced Tuesday that Dr. Yetunde Reeves will not be reappointed after ABC7 began reporting on attendance problems and allegations of grade inflation at Ballou High School since October. 7 On Your Side found that at least 26 Ballou High School students graduated with more than 100 unexcused absences.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser spoke more on the issue at a press conference on the audit of Ballou Tuesday.



During the press conference, the D.C. Public Schools Superintendent announced a report that 113 of the 177 2017 graduates of Ballou did so in violation of policy and should not have graduated, according to ABC7's Nathan Baca.



The teachers at Ballou were told of the decision concerning Reeves Tuesday morning at an emergency meeting.

Ballou changed principals back in December and Reeves was put on leave. Reeves' attorney confirmed the separation from the school and added that Reeves will be employed by D.C. Public Schools through June.



D.C. Public Schools said that teachers will have a new grading policy starting in May.


"We have an attendance crisis in our city," D.C. Public Schools said in a letter to teachers.
