The problem with some of you is that u just jump into an argument without understanding the context.

I am not arguing whether bleaching is good or bad.

My argument is on the correlation between bleaching and lack of self confidence. That was why I mentioned notable confident men and women who bleached or changed their features for reasons best known to them.

U are a woman and I'm sure u do make-up to probably enhance ur looks or feel happy, why don't u go out without make-up? If u don't make up, it doesn't mean that u are more confident than those who do it. Do u know that there are side effects of make up too? There is nothing in this world that doesn't have side effects, even drinking too much water causes kidney issues. U are a doctor, so u should know this.

My argument is that many people (male and female) bleach, do make-ups, alter their bodies for reasons best known to them, not necessarily as a result of lack of confidence. It's about the person's choice and interest.

Many white people tan their skins to become darker, why is there no clamour from their side to maintain their whiteness? why is it not seen as lack of self confidence when white people do it?

I am not arguing about the effects of bleaching and tanning. So please stick with the argument and prove my assertions wrong. We learn everyday.

It is not a distinguishable factor as she wouldn't be the first to pick either side. It is not lack of confidence as you don't know her reasons. It's called choice.
