I bet so many things go still change, the design of pure Nougat has caught up with the prior designs and optimizations in MiUI making them redundant. This will ultimately make MiUI more minimalist making it true to its name 'MI User Interface'

I used to find MIUI more aggressive on RAM and power management so I turned it off in developer settings and I manually set battery optimization for all apps, wake locks, permissions and notifications.

Going forward, we'll expect to see faster updates cos the base job had been done by Google.
