Can the Nigerian government or society bring this into fruition? This should be tried out, it is better than the unaccounted, unpayable and unprofitable amounts the government spends in the name of poverty eradication that changes little to nothing in Nigeria Communities. |

The startup capital for this companies will be gradually repaid to the government body or NGO that funds it. |
How Nigeria and other nations in the world can increase productivity and employment through systematization. What is systematization? It is simply the state of organizing or planning things. How can this help or be done? The government or concerned organizations, groups or individuals around the world, nations or communities can create or fund more production companies or industries. For example, a country like Nigeria with lots of uncultivated land facing shortage and high cost of foods can create more food production companies. Buy mechanical equipments and everything needed to run a chosen business or investment, convince some notable individuals to get involved and invest in the given company and have them manage them. The involved individuals don't have to necessarily invest billions or millions, they just have to invest something that will make them sincerely concerned about the success of the companies they are managing. The management board will be made up of mostly the investors and should be paid with every other worker of the company according to the profits made with investment capital intact. Excessive gains will be saved, and be used to grow the company further or to start up more companies. All transactions in this companies should be strictly cashless. A supervisory body will be created to monitor this societal companies, a lot of unemployed people are actually willing to farm and engage in other means of livelihood. Lack of access to resources just makes it difficult, if this is taken up, employment rates and productivity will greatly increase. If the government or bodies funding and overseeing this companies want it to be another avenue for looting and corruption, it will be. And if they want it to work, it will work. Contributory inputs, better ideas or questions for clarity or knowledge are highly welcomed. (Civilization Inspirations) |
Every village and town in Nigeria needs a supervisor, with LGA autonomy. |

MaxInDHouse:My church and some other churches do engage in evangelism, it is just not as frequent as that of JW. Jesus didn't specify or command how often evangelism embarkment should be. In fact I am of the opinion that evangelism should not be done as a routine but as the holy spirit directs. I am not saying it is wrong of JW to embark on evangelism everyday or every weekend, but that, that doesn't necessarily make them the dedicated ones or the best church. I am not saying they are not, I am not saying they are either, but that frequency of evangelism is not the yardstick for judging righteousness or obedience to God. There is no perfect yardstick for judging righteousness, judgment is of the Lord. It is all about grace from God, his kingdom and his people. |
MaxInDHouse:What I wanted to discuss with you is not secret, but I would have preferred a private discussion. I recently started engaging in street evangelism, I wouldn't rate my current performance so high, practice makes perfect. Although Jesus said we aren't necessarily to force anyone to accept God or the word of God. Matthew 10:14. Our part is to pass on the message. However I think I will improve faster with a companion, especially an experienced one. My question is will Jehovah witnesses allow a believer go on evangelism with them, if the person is not a member of JW? I might get a partner from my church branch or in my area, but most aren't eager so I have been getting postponements from them. |
MaxInDHouse:What I wanted to ask you was more of private than secret. Edit my number out of the post you quoted. I don't know why you are jumping into conclusions, however no p. |
OAM4J, mods. It's a Sunday. Can you kindly move the topic to front page. I need more audience. |
MaxInDHouse:Hello, can we talk outside nairaland? I have some questions to ask you. You can propose a means of communication. |
MaxInDHouse:Matthew 25:34. The kingdom of God in my own understanding of the scripture is any kingdom that God the father, the son and holy spirit rules. Heaven is also a kingdom of God. Jesus promises his disciples paradise, a kingdom ruled by him with no lack, no impurity, darkness nor anything bad. Some denominations of Christianity proposes that Jesus will takeover the leadership of earth from the devil in his second coming and turn earth to paradise. You can enlighten me if I am wrong or not completely correct. |
Jesus started his ministration after baptism with preaching the nearness of the kingdom of God. It was also his last commandment and request to his disciples. Surprisingly many of us including me thought this message is no longer much important since the gospel has reached almost all parts of the world. Till it was brought to my attention through the teachings of the brethren that this message is still very much important and is meant to continue until the arrival of our Lord. I bring you this message of hope today and beseech you to heed to it. Repent and seek ye first the kingdom of God and it's righteousness and every other thing shall be added unto you. Yearn for holiness, live a life of righteousness and evangelize the gospel to even one soul. There is joy in heaven when even one soul is won to the kingdom of God.

peekspot:I must point out that the EFCC is wrong on this if they include embassies and diplomatic missions. You cannot dictate for other countries the currencies to transact in, diplomatic missions are representatives of their home countries. We are already facing exit of production companies and organizations, we don't want to add exit of diplomatic missions to the list. That will mean more job losses and lesser forex inflow. Yeah, diplomatic missions do fund some of their activities in their host countries with forex from their home countries. The EFCC should rather work with the CBN, the presidency and legislature for digitization of forex. |
IAmHim1:Nice analysis, You tried a lot. Insecurity has to end for any tangible progress to happen. On the issue of people buying dollars and not other countries currencies, those countries won't accept naira or most other local currencies. You have to purchase dollars first, before purchasing those currencies. That is why dollars and euros are like international currencies, They are trusted. On inflation, insecurity is not the only factor driving up inflation in Nigeria. Unregulated overprinting of naira is also a big factor and it also affects the exchange rate. Majority of African countries don't have strong regulations and institutions to prevent such abnormalities and decay. Solution: Regions in Africa, West Africa for example should create a general currency like the euro, the countries will regulate it together. This way no corrupt or incompetent president or central bank governor can easily usurp it or do as they want with it. Transition to parliamentary democracy will also strengthen the rule of law and institutions, since nobody will be too powerful. This way the country also doesn't have to tolerate incompetent heads of government till the end of their fixed tenure. |
Nbkay23:I created a thread proposing the solution.https://www.nairaland.com/8053508/how-nigeria-other-developing-countries. Perhaps the government and CBN prefer the crooked way. |

mrvitalis:A country that what has happened to? |
mrvitalis:Take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves. Let's protect the forex we have already, before talking about getting more. You still need forex for investments that will bring more forex. I still think a lot of people don't really understand how this will work, we are gifted at different fields. So let me rest my case. |
rinzaugustine:It will bring down the exchange rate because the central banks will have more USD in their vaults, that alone is a big advantage. Why does the EFCC bother pressuring BDC operators and banks to release dollars if it doesn't affect the exchange rate. More dollars in circulation and within the reach of the central banks means a lower and more stable exchange rate. I am an advocator of devolution of powers in Nigeria because that will make the states more productive and innovative. More exports means more forex, however let's protect the forex we have already, while devising means of getting more. |
LordReed:I proposed the solution for countries with poor or unreliable infrastructures. Physical local printed dollar notes with equal value to the USD can be produced by the central banks of the country in question with their own designs, logo and authorization. This can replace USD inside the country, only the central banks will have access to the main USD. Then again, creating a digital dollar doesn't require much infrastructure that Nigeria and most other countries don't have already, it will just be like the E-naira. With equal value to USD. Moreover USD isn't the official currency of Nigeria, its legal usage isn't that frequent and usually in some specified establishments. People who use USD in Nigeria and other developing countries that USD is not the official currency are usually exposed and educated to an extent with access to Internet, smart phones and other gadgets. |
LordReed:Yeah, it will not reduce the exchange rate of naira to dollar to 500 naira, but the government if sincere and willing to work can actually restrict or reduce illegal capital flight out of the country especially by elected or appointed political office holders. This also means the EFCC no longer need to spend scarce resources chasing BDC operators. Forex will be digitized, transparent and more regulated. Seems a good number of people I mentioned didn't understand the article or they are tired of political matters. |

How Nigeria And Other Developing Countries Can Eliminate USD Hoarding, Lessen Crime And Corruption, Increase Forex Regulation, Transparency And A More Stable Exchange Rate. Developing countries around the world, Nigeria especially can digitize the USD by creating a digital currency with equal value to the USD. Let's call it digital dollars, this dollars can be sold to commercial banks or to citizens and interested buyers directly by the central banks. This way, all physical USD notes can be kept by the central banks only and physical USD notes can be declared illegal tender inside the country by the central banks. Anybody, organizations or groups with physical USD notes can exchange them for the digital dollars or to its equivalent in naira or the local currency of the country in question. Developing countries with poor or unreliable infrastructures can opt for physical digital dollar notes, this physical dollar notes will be a local currency printed by the central bank of the country in question with equal value to the USD. The notes will be numbered with serial numbers and dates and also registered digitally, possibly with barcodes. If in the future, the physical local dollar notes starts getting hoarded, the central bank can announce a submission or exchange of all local dollar notes of this number to this number or this date to that date. A specified amount of time can be given for all holders to return or exchange their local dollar notes, after that the central bank can declare the remaining notes out of its reach as illegal tender. Since usage of USD in a country outside the USA is usually at the embassies, organizations or by influential and exposed individuals. Organizations and individuals can scan the barcode of a local dollar note to check its validity. (Anybody with better ideas, corrections, contributions or questions should please bring them on.) HelpYourself:While I have always had a feeling that people will be paid back in their own coin for their good and bad deeds. I do not think it is entirely as you describe, for example the country of the doer may get destroyed. Some empires, kingdoms and countries have been destroyed in the past, and more may cease to exist in the future. While it is likely that there is payback for our good and bad deeds, how God or the universe does that is currently beyond us. We are mere students learning and traveling the physical and spiritual evolution ladder. There are lots of things unknown to us at this time, anybody who wishes to speak on such matters must indicate a level of uncertainty to notify potential readers or listeners that they have spoken out of their own understanding or supposition. |
