His goodness to his friends and political associates from across the country is what is working for him at this time. Sentiments, blackmail and whipping up emotions won’t cut it for reasonable Nigerians across board. Back in the day, our parents use a neutral method to end arguments. If you two are fighting over a toy and both claim ownership, they take it from both of you and give someone else, and it's the end of the discussion.

Since Wike and Okowa cannot seem to agree, I think taking Okonjo Iweala is the best bet and game-changer. She will not just attract women, she will catch all upward thinking and Educated/elite with her. This will make the PDP more appealing. She seems to be the hen to lay the golden egg as far as this election is concerned. Wike has so much bad blood in spite of his qualities. I am just hearing of Okowa in a sense.

Make no mistake. LP, PDP, and APC are all humans and you can't say PDP, or APC etc are corrupt. By themselves, no party is corrupt. It's the people. So long as you have one good man while the rest are not, forget it. If the PDP can comprise a good team, they will do wonders. They have the experience, money, and people. The LP cannot boast of this.

You all know I have dropped my chase for Obi due to him being in the wrong party and because of his chances being slim. I concluded its a waste and counter-productive and only good on paper.

I stated in that post that if Obi supporters find those who support Tinubu disgusting, they too are actually doing the same thing as voting Tinubu in view of the fact that a vote for Obi will only weaken the chances of PDP winning and APC will win and the unimaginable will happen, thanks to people who got carried away with what's good on paper.

I suggested Obi should retrace his step back to the PDP after all, he was part of it and didn't see anything wrong until things didn't go his way. I see that as impatience and a hunger for power because even as a minister, he can make an impact and by then, do his own time like the others who tried several years for it.

This morning, I saw a yet interesting picture. This of course is part of several rumors and speculations flying around. Ladies and Gentlemen, what do you think of this combo? In my opinion, it's more juicy and promising than even Obi. This woman has a better chance at being a better president than even Obi IMHO if she does the VP.

Atiku must be the most foo lish man on earth and a political novice if he overlooks the governors in the South that worked for his emergence and goes back to pick Peter Obi,just for sentimental reasons.
First,for the slight alone,governors in the South like Okowa,Akwa Ibom and even Wike,would work against him,even openly or clandestinely working for Tinubu.
Secondly,obi as Atiku's vice would not necessarily get the same traction as he is getting now for wanting to run as a presidential candidate himself.
Thirdly,Obi is being overtly overrated as a candidate capable of winning a presidential election,much like Osinbajo was overrated as a top candidate.He cannot comfortably win even in the SEast because not many politicians there are so enamoured of his candidacy and not many Ibos are swayed by his candidature,despite him being an Iboman himself.
But all said and done,with or without Obi,Atiku CANNOT defeat Tinubu.
The mathematics,whichever permutation is used,is just not in Atiku's favour.
So all these speculation of Obi being on his ticket or not,are just academic exercises because he simply cannot defeat Tinubu.

He will be patient if he is not power-hungry. Atiku and Obi won the general elections earlier. They were robbed of this but Atiku called for calm. Goodluck Jonathan further did this too. Patience and selflessness, and integrity. Look at how Wike behaved despite his financial loss and betrayal by someone he supported and trusted.

I am sure someone else will call for his supporters to rebel and scatter the whole PDP. Obi going to LP knowing he is not winning if you must know is to just to punish PDP and nothing more. He wants to be the spoiler factor. It's like sleeping with your girlfriend's friend for cheating on you.

You're right when you said that most of Peter Obi's supporters are the elite/educated class but wrong when you underestimate their influence. That demography controls the social media with vast number of followers who see their wish as their own command! Also, they're relatively rich and influential in real life. They're the business owners, philanthropists and bread winners and thus are often able to influence the thought process of their employees, family members, kinsmen, church/mosque members, friends etc. They've started pushing people to get their PVC and are already telling them to get prepared to vote Obi on election day.

Honestly, you need to objectively consider that statement by El Rufais sone were he mentioned a Local government in Kano may produce all the vote in the SE. That may not be true, but that's how the elite/educated compare in voting power to the 'masses'. I was miffed to see people rejoicing during the APC convention after seeing how Tinubu'shands were shaking.

Peter Obi is more of a threat to Tinubu than even Atiku depending on how you view it. Most of Obi's supporters are from South, particularly SE, SS and Lagos/Abuja. Atiku is from North, so if he can't get enough votes NE and NW to give himself a serious advantage then he deserves to fail.

You underestimate Tinubu. The North will vote him at the click of Buhari's finger which had already happened. When it comes to religion, he has reasons to be voted by both Christians and Muslims. He also has the rationality of power shift from north to south backing him. I do not want to mention tribe.

Lastly, most of those currently supporting Obi passionately are those who had already given up on Nigeria. Most of them don't even participate in elections because they see it as useless when they would still be forced to choose between demon and dragon. Therefore, if it becomes a contest between Tinubu and Atiku alone, they would simply return to their cocoons.

The fact you choose to support Atiku if he uses Wike as Vice shows you were never a passionate supporter of Peter Obi.

I am not a passionate supporter of Obi because emotions hardly form a reliable motivation for action. I am being pragmatic and objective. I know Obi will not have an audience to the majority in view of several factors. Do you know why most Nigerians excel the moment they leave the country? It's because the country is not compatible.

Going with passion and emotion over objectivity is folly indeed. It is folly also to empower Tinubu over Atiku which Obi had been part of all the while until things didn't go his way.

what I was saying is Osinbajo is Osinbajo while Wike is Wike. Osinbajo was placed there by Tinubu who happens to be the influence...keyword is what? "Influence".

Now let's say Wike becomes VP, Wike comes as THE "influence" because he is influential and consequential to Atiku becoming President. He can address powerful politicians and they will listen, unlike Osinbajo who was merely picked and functions as a 'place-holder' for Tinubu.

By this, you can already see what kind of VP Wike is going to be.

Obi should use this as a chance being the third force to settle this once and for all by going back to the PDP else we will have a Tinubu-led Presidency.

The Labour Party is in chaos, his chances of winning the presidential election under the Labour Party or elsewhere are slimmer than his chances of winning the PDP primaries so much that by the end of the day, Obi will have only work to have Tinubu win.

Obi will do well to retrace his step back to the PDP after all, he will not lose the qualities he already has. He stands a better chance of putting himself to good use in PDP than LP. In LP, he will only lose the election and be relegated to a social media critic.

Moreover, he was part of the same PDP all the while and saw nothing wrong with that until things didn't go his way. Just like how he was fought off the PDP was how some were "short-changed" when he was chosen as VP to Atiku earlier. Will he bell the cat?

Who could ever think that a PYO could reshuffle his Pricincipal's cabinet or refuse endorsing some projects in his absence? As soft as he appears, he took the decision to the surprise of many.

Again, Buhari was perceived to be a tough, no-nonsense and brutal leader, given his 1984 stunts. What did we see 3 decades later?

Atiku that is widely perceived as a thief (even the most sincere individuals became corrupted by the system, ask some governors from Plateau state), was constantly a thorn in his principal's flesh, even openly kicking against his 3rd term ambition.

Using Atiku's case above, I will liken Wike to Obasanjo later.

Even though my judgment of Obi may be incorrect, my major point is he will not win. His not winning will only empower the APC at the elections. My major point is choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea. Obi should pay his dues like others and go back to PDP. He was a part of them afterall until things didn't go his way.

If Obi has the country at heart, I will advise he even rejoin the PDP and drop his ambition. Crazy at it sounds, he would have stirred the causative forces in his favor for now and the future. This is if tribalism and hunger for power is not his motivation because he can still work the good work in the PDP after all, he was in the PDP and he didn't see the "corruption" until when things didn't go his way. The Labour Party too is still grappling with a corruption case in court so what's the excuse?

I guess he won't because he feels until he is president, that's when he will work the good work, but is that true? that every Nigerian must be president in order to play their role in salvaging the country? I sense a hunger for power here.

Yes! My first calculation was to vote Obi even though I know he is not going to win as a form of protest and also washing my hands off Naija politics matter and have my conscience clear that l was not responsible for bringing in a rogue into Aso Rock.

On the emergence of Tinubu as APCs flag bearer and the antecedence of the APC, I realize a critical situation is reached and a crucial and objective decision needs to be made. We have a situation where Obi will weaken the PDP and still not win. He will not win because he is only popular amongst educated and upward thinking people who are not a quarter of the rest of the masses up north and even the south in population and a vote for Obi is only a 'statement vote'. It's important in the scheme of things but then catastrophic for the Opportunity Cost of having an APC president who fields an El Rufai for instance. This is the crux of the matter, its Tinubu or Atiku and Obi will make one win directly or indirectly.

My grouse with Atiku is not himself per se because I feel he had been labeled a thief and perceived negatively for a long time which had been his bane in becoming the president and I feel he will like to prove a lot of people wrong. It's the thieves that will follow him to Aso Rock. I feel an iron hand is needed at Aso Rock. Someone who can fire a minister on the spot, order a proper procurement process and such. No soft hand can handle Nigeria and Nigerians, only someone who is stubborn and resolute!

That's where Wike comes in. Wike's strength is fearlessness, project execution, tenacity and even integrity, yes, integrity. If you studied the extent of what the Salafists, Fulani bandits, Buhari and his cabal and so on have gone into the marrow of the country, a Wike is the best man for the job. There is something about body language and persona. With his no-nonsense carriage, you want to ask who will send shivers down the spine of these guys and even the Service Chiefs, Wike or Obi? Wike had demonstrated he can take up a General if found wanting.

This is beyond sentiment and emotions. You only need Obi where the system works. With the collapsed systems and institutions we have in Nigeria coupled with gross corruption and indiscipline, I do not want to believe you want to send in someone with a soft voice holding carrots. Obasanjo even recommended a mad man. Sitting down, Obasanjo saw what our Twitter friends couldn't see from a tree top, and to hell with Wike's sins for I cannot find the perfect politician even in Obi. Obi's perfection is even his bane so long as it is Nigeria he is given as homework.

If you have a logical view, feel free to state yours based on my analysis of the matter before us all. I am not responding to emotional, tribal or religious outbursts, only logic. So be guided please. Our Elders, over to you.

Even though he was conducting his personal business and not representing Eckankar that is still no reason for any Eckist to defraud any body. The penalty is quite harsh as we don't take such things lightly.
I have given experiences here where a politician who had defrauded his state ran to Eckankar to protect him from EFCC and we told him bluntly to go back and return the money he stole and face the consequences of his action.
Taking full responsibility for all your actions is the first step to spiritual freedom and not creating more negative karma for yourself by defrauding people.
