[s]You don't know this man called Peter OBI, if all nigerian states had governors half like him,Nigeria would have been a different country, I am an Anambraian, from Nnewi south, my state used to be the worst state in the FEDERATION, until he came to power and reformed the system of things in the state, he laid the foundation of development on which the current governor is building. The state has CHANGED a lot thanks to P.OBI[/s]

The fear of TAN is the beginning of wisdom for all APC mob supporters. Even their leaders, Buhari and Amaechi Rotimi is afraid of TAN. Good innovation from the founders.

3hours ago,I had a heated argument with some Igbos at a The Young Shall Grow park near my house when I went to escort my mum who was travelling to the east today. It was all about Buhari's presidential candidacy.
No be small thing o! At least I was able to convince few of them why they should vote for Buhari. The others say they will not vote for anyone instead let the county divide.
What is seen on nairaland by some Igbos opposed to Buhari is clearly what is happen in reality.
They were impressed with me as a female who loves politics with passion. Hehehehe!! grin grin

Politics › 2015: The year of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan 2nd Tenure by FreeGlobe(op): 2:23am On Jan 01, 2015
Happy New Year to all nairalanders, friends and foes. As we approach the elections proper this year, let's know it's 4 more years for Goodluck Azikiwe Jonathan and his team as they continue to work towards repositioning this nation.
Let us all reject the aspirations of a retired General who does not know his right from his left when it comes to leading a country as complex as Nigeria. A religious and ethnic bigot who is not serious about leadership. Someone whom we have all rejected previously for a reason.
Lets also not take seriously his few overzealous supporters with mob mentality.

Lets vote for #4moreyears, GEJ.

Best wishes in the new year. God bless!

Jimi Agbaje is an established and successful private individual of impeccable character unlike people like Ambode, Fashola and Osibanjo who are Tinubu boys and whose claim to fame is working for Tinubu govt. Lagos needs a pragmatic and independent leader like Jimi Abaje and not another Tinubu lackey who will do the bidding of Tinubu for 8 years. Who will stand helplessly as Tinubu fosters his Family across all political seats in Lagos. It's time up for Tinubu

You cannot say outright that they don't see the benefits of online presence, but if you understand their business model, you'll understand where they are coming from. It is not priority.

What percentage of business transactions in Nigeria are online? Less than 1% of 1%.

Why should a trader struggling with sales and margins commit to setting up a website - when maintenance costs will be quite significant.

Who does the Onitsha trader make most of his sales from? From people who won't be found near a computer.
I Think he has a point about this backward mentality of most onitsha and indeed Anambra traders and businessmen which you share in the points highlighted above and of which I think is as a result of gross underexposure. This is the 21st century and there is a lot of innovation going on in many aspects of life and so these traders should not think the traditional business model they started with will remain forever. They need to upgrade. I don't see why you would say having a website is not a priority for a businessmen in 2014/2015. Wasn't complimentary cards a priority for businessmen previously before the internet revolution?

Take advertising for instance, most of these traders just like you do not understand the importance of advertising and it is very unfortunate and this is why most of these business do not make enough national impact.
How do you think Tummy Tummy noodles for instance which is produced in Nnewi can perform well in the market or match Indomie noodles? Do you know how much Indomie budgets for adverts yearly? Go to Nnewi, there are many companies doing business without budgetary consideration for advertising including Innoson and this is why I don't take Innoson seriously since they only care about govt patronage. You hardly see their adverts anywhere. This is the difference between Lagos, Abuja, PH and Anambra traders.

You are saying erroneously stating that less 1% on Nigeria business are online. Wait until the shopping mall revolution sweeps across the state added with this Jumia, Konga etc and then we'll know the fate of these traders.

WTH is this? Anambra needs a stadium and good sporting complex please especially now we have a team in the Nigeria Premier League. I know Ngige was trying to build a standard stadium in Awka. The land was already purchased around Amaenyi Awka or so but Peter Obi abandoned it. The present governor should try and resume work on that project. It's very necessary.

I earlier said Buddamonk is just a paranoid human being. Cry baby, crying over nothing. When Peter obi 'Agulunized' and 'Catholicised his government and government house, okijaamaka alias Buddamonk didn't speak up or call him clannish. When he awarded the roads he awarded in his native Agulu, people like Buddamonk hailed him, when he introduced zoning to governance in the state, this same character cheered. Now he is coming here to talk nonsense.

It doesn't look like that to me. What is clear is the ibo retrogression in the Nigerian equation.
who really is retrogressing? From presidency to having no political office in the nation today. As a matter of fact and going by political office holders in Nigeria today, the major ethnic groups today in Nigeria are Igbo, Hausa, Ijaw.

Hahahahahaa. I laugh in ijaw

Chekwas okorie ko chekwas okorocha ni. The lowlifer cant even pull 10,000 vote, his ibo kinsmen wont vote for him. Heck, ojuku, the greatest ibo man that ever lived couldnt even win an election in his own ward.

It is high time you realise that the ibos are the slaves in Nigeria. It is your destiny to worship the Yorubas, Hausas and Ijaws -(they have usurped your position as the 3rd major ethnic group in Nigeria)
Same for Buhari and osibanjo, even if Buhari pulls 50 million votes, his fate and that of Chekwas okorie will still be the same after the election, being that they will still lose the election to GEJ so if you are laughing at Chekwas, you might as well laugh at Buhari. And how has Yorubas usurped the position of igbos when they don't even occupy any national political office in the nation?
