On FBNQUEST App

Please who else is having problems with FBNQUEST? For a couple of weeks now, I have unable to login to the App. It kept saying a technical error has occurred, try again later.

How do I resolve this?
Mine is working fine.

It could be your network. Be sure Ur data network is stable and reliable. If it persists, check your Google play store or Apple App store to see it there is a new update you have not done.

The interest reinvested monthly does not form part of your capital that earns,it's after the end of the quarter, the reinvested capital becomes part of your capital that earns interest. Same way those who opt for interest to be paid get paid at the end of the quarter.

Check again, if you notice the balance before the monthly reinvestment, it will be the same as the balance shortly after the reinvestment. The balance starts to increase again when the accrued interest starts to accrue at the beginning of the month.

But the reinvestment at the end of the quarter becomes higher immediately. This is what will happen by the 31st of December.
Ok. It's just different with other MMF accounts. FBN only add interest by the end of the quarter. Same with UCAP. Since you are one of their salesmen, you should know better about them.

I think those saying quarterly uses Stanbic too. That an interest is added to your balance doesn’t necessarily it’s allowed to compound. I’ve been seeing same returns for months now even though my balances have been increasing. Maybe different experiences sha…
Ok, I have heard. However, I have never received same interest from Stanbic in any month since they started adding the interest it's either more or less even on the account I have never added nor withdrawn anything for a while now.

it’s quarterly
Not true. I use Stanbic and at the end of every month my interest is added to my capital. The interest starts counting at the beginning of every month.

is there any asset manager that allows monthly compounding of interest?
Yes, I think Stanbic IBTC compounding is monthly.

It's not normal. Just contact them through WhatsApp and see. The longest redemption time I have had with them is 48hrs.

does anyone use united capital (invest.now). i have been having issues with redemption. what are your opinions about invest.now
I use them and will say they are fair.

What I do while redeeming is that after I redeem from the app or web, I will also send them a mail about it immediately. Other times I will contact them on WhatsApp with my request details after redeeming on the app.
CrimeRe: "Stop Harassing Motorists Over Tinted Glass", Reps Warn FCT Police (Video) by freeman67: 3:07pm On Dec 10, 2024
I don't understand the situation with my country again. Why the agents of one arms of government seem to be doing something to better the situation of the country, the agents of the other seem to be putting spanner in the wheels of the former.

I have watched the video of the Commissioner of Police of Abuja stating categorically that all the victims of one chance car robbery they encountered have testified that the vehicle they entered were tinted and as such even if there is a struggle in the vehicle other road user will hardly know.

In any case why would people just wake up and want to tint their vehicles? I know it gives vehicles some kind of cool looks and all but once it's be coming an issue especially for those whose vehicle tints are not from factory, why not let be as it is?

These politicians will just compound works for the security agencies and then turn around to blame them on it. Not fair.

NYSCRe: Is There Any Advantage Of NYSC Discharge Certificate Over The Exemption Certif? by freeman67: 5:52pm On Nov 26, 2024
Lexzokomo:
Hi guys good day, trust you are all good? Please just something that is bothering me, I am 30 yrs old but I have not gone to any tertiary institution but I have the desire to enroll as soon as forms are out.

But the issue now is I don't know wether I can serve after I graduate since I will be more than 30 upon graduation, I read somewhere that I will be likely be issued an exemption certificate.

My question now's is if I was given an exemption certificate I want to know how strong the exemption certificate is when compared to the discharge certificate, in the job market how do they look the exemption certificate?

Thank you
Nothing much. Just the service experience, contacts you may have made (which may or may not even be significant later in life) and the age difference.

So just go your school. Any job that you age group is qualified for will accept the exemption same way they will accept the discharge.

Where is it sold and how is it preserve after opening?
They are both sold in the market.

Sniper comes in an airtight plastic bottles of different sizes. Depending on the size of your house and how many toilets you have in it. The remainder of this should tightly closed and kept out of reach for children please. You should see the instructions on the body before use.

The green leaf comes in sachets. There is no preserving opened sachet of this. Depending on the size of your kitchen and hidden spaces therein, you may up to 3 or 4 sachets.
PropertiesRe: How Did You Deal With Cockroach by freeman67:
First of all, buy sniper mix it with water and flush all the toilets in your house with it.

Then buy Original 'green leaf powder' and pour it in all the corners of your kitchen, under the kitchen sink etc. do this once in a week and you will see great result.

Good morning all, please when is the right time to request for the accrued interest and what's the process of requesting for it?
Thank you.
It actually depends on the Assets Management you are using, what you want and how you want it.

Most assets managers payout interests at the end of every quarter (End of March, June, September and December). Some customers/clients or investors would want their own interest reinvested while others want theirs paid to their accounts. If you want your interest paid to your bank account instead of reinvesting you can contact them for that.

Also, you can allow the to reinvest then you just redeem the accrued interest anytime you want.

Good morning all.
I just have an observation and I need assistance please.
Is it just me or is that FBN Quest customer care is very poor? Since I opened an mmf account with them a few months ago, they refused to reply my email when I tried to resolve other few issues. This is a big red flag. It’s risky to keep putting money there then. FYI, I’m in diaspora.
I wrote to their customer care emails, I even tried to call the relationship manager whose number was on the acc opening email but it was not reachable.
To be frank, their customer care can be very unresponsive sometimes. In that situation all you have to do is to be persistent if you must use them or change to a more responsive Asset Management. Other times it may be that you do not have the right address to contact. Attached is a screenshot of an official email I got from them earlier. It carries their customer care email address and about 3 phone numbers you can contact.

Just check and see if it is different from what you have.

Yes, GSK deducted 10% WHT when they paid off their minority shareholders. That's why people were sceptical of buying FM more than 62.5 earlier.

Good morning house, please I'd like to ask a question

This is on behalf of a colleague who bought the Fidelity public offer shares in June as a first timer without a brokerage account

How would the shares be transferred to his brokerage account when he finally has one

Thank you for your anticipated insightful and kind responses
When he finally has one let him talk contact them. He will be asked to send the share certificate across for dematerialization after which it will be reflected in his brokerage account.

You have already accepted and married her. The too much ranting should not be there again. If you still didn't find her attractive till now, the best you could have done is to walk away/ separate from her instead of debasing and embarrassing her Infront of everyone that way.

That said, this burial contribution thing is supposed to optional and willingly. Why try to cajole another man to cover your own responsibility instead of doing it as you can. You no too do bad for there sha na only shout wey you shout wey bad. Na you suppose tell them wetin you want do for them.

Good Morning,

Can’t find it in my Morgan Portfolio

Do I need to do a mail to them or something?
Morgan will normally not credit it on till you ask them to.

If you have a personal CSCS account check it, it should be there.

If you don't have it, contact Morgan and request for your CSCS account statement for confirmation after which you can then ask them to credit your account with the bonus.

Any good reasons why tbills that matured Nov.7 is not yet paid as at today..
Can DMO be contacted.. @freeman
That is just the general situation with all investments issued by the DMO these days. They hardly pay as and when due these days.

For dwlayed payments, people you should contact for the reasons it's being delayed is the bank/investment house through which you invested and the CSCS who handles the payment.

They are trying to manage the stock price of United Capital.

Majority of people will sell their bonus shares and will have a temporary downward trend on the stock price of United Capital.

I have sent two emails to the registrars concerning the bonus which they have not replied
I mailed them on Monday as regards the and they just replied me today. Below is their reply:

"Thank you for contacting Africa Prudential.

Please note that United Capital bonus has not been effected to your CSCS profile yet.

Warm regards"

Meanwhile I just checked my CSCS and nothing like that has reflected. So I am going to reply them and copy CSCS and my broker.
InvestmentRe: Commercial Papers by freeman67: 12:15pm On Nov 07, 2024
ernie4life:
Your points are valid.

From a risk management standpoint, I am cautious about the surge in companies issuing Commercial Papers (CPs) to raise funds, given the unsecured nature of these instruments.

This increased market activity heightens the likelihood of defaults.

Therefore, I strongly advocate for meticulous selection when investing in CPs
I agree with all you have just said. I truly appreciate.
InvestmentRe: Commercial Papers by freeman67: 10:10am On Nov 07, 2024
ernie4life:
The yield when you net tax and fees is not impressive when compared to treasury bills that has little to no risk
Very true and I understand the angle you are looking at it from which is why I always ask you if the interest is going to be taxed or not.

That said, the major reason why I was attracted to CP's in the first place is that at the I got aware of it rates where better than TB's and they were exempted from taxation.

However, even now that there no longer exempted I still try to lean towards it because:

1. I have never subscribed to CP early and I was told the bank lost the bid that I should wait a fortnight to try again. Once I subscribe as advertised and it is confirmed, the contract stands. For TB severally even with first bank and Stanbic IBTC that were my most preferred.

2. So far, I have never had any experience of delayed payments more than a day. The worse delay in payment I have had is the evening of the due date. Most will come in the morning of that day. About once or twice it came a day earlier. Matured TB before now will either come on the due date, a day after and maybe if it falls on weekend or public holiday, it will paid the next business day. These days, it's payment is likened to the salary of Civil Servant; it is now payed anyhow irrespective of the due date. Same things is happening to Savings Bonds coupon payments.

3. I see it as a way of diversification too. Instead of having all funds in TB, Bonds and co, I diversify my play in money market with CP's.

4. Some banks too now deduct Taxes and crazy charges for TB too and even some investment houses. Reasons why my recent TB play was in the Secondary Market whose rates are still lower.

Looking at the CP I posted, the 180 days tenure is about 26.1% while yesterday's TB is 18.5%. It is still considerable bearing the risk in mind.
