Greetings to you all brothers and sisters in this room, please am about to open a wholesales supermarket store and I want to get a van that I can be using to travel to lagos from ogbomosho to buy my goods for my store and am considering either 2002 TO 2004 TOYOTA HIACE OR 2003 TO 2006 VOLKWAGEN TRANSPORTER because I see that the toks of the 2 vans are almost in the same range in price, though I don't know much about vehicles.

I kindly ask for you opinion on the 2 in terms of maintenance, spare part, road worthiness, fuel consumption (both on petrol) .

V6 engine is not my problem about the car , i have drove a Nissan Frontier with v6 engine and i prefer v6 to v4 . I only like the avalon shape , space and interior

It doesn't have electrical problems as long as you or your mechanic doesn't mess up with it and you don't cut and join wires or enter flood.

Can you please explain further sir , do you mean the fuel consumption, or the maintenace .
If it's about fuel maintenance am good but it was other maintenance i wanted to know about like available part , mechanical issue . Really need experience from someone that has used it before . thanks

An Avalon is safer than a Camry because it's the Toyota flagship product so they engineer more safety things and more technological things into it. It's equally rugged.

Guess economy isn't bad. Infant the fuel economy of a well maintained avalon is very closely matched with the fuel economy of a Camry (city MPG).

Good car but not that rugged compared to camry.

Also, Avalon 2005 - 2011 comes with 3.5L V6 engine, so fuel consumption is kind of high.

Pls who in this house has used 2006 toyota avalon 2006 or know how if the vehicle is good to ride on Nigeria road , moreover if possible i will like to know the common problem of the car. I dont want to get common models like CAMRY AND COROLLA .
