Great! From Agbara, it should be connected to Abeokuta and from Abeokuta taken to Ibadan in conjunction with the Oyo state government ati be be lo.

The company should eventually be listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange so we can trade its shares.

Hmmm. His Achilles heel will likely be the source of the funds he used for campaign and mobilisation for his attempt to become APC's Presidential candidate last year.

Now he is no longer enjoying immunity so EFCC can get to work on petitions against him. If he's innocent, he has nothing to be afraid of.

Politics / Re: Nigeria’s Dollar Reserves Plunge In Tandem With Naira Rebound by FreeStuffsNG: 10:16pm On Apr 16
Hmmm

Most of the funds was used to pay back the billions in forex backlog debts incurred more than 4 years ago.

You can support your national currency in the short run to ensure that others see that you have a skin in the game. That decision of paying back international airlines alone has led to drastic fall in airfares and increased confidence in the naira.

From the chart below, the dates when our reserve fell tally with the period we cleared this massive backlog from early March till when CBN announced it in late March which lagged into April. We are barely in mid April.

Just to remind you that in each of these 3 south west states, there are probably 25% applicants from the south east.
This is indigene list. If you have done JAMB before you will know that you fill your state of origin and it's considered for admission. It is based on this clean data that proof that indigenes of Oyo, Ogun and Osun have the highest applicant for this year. Each state has its own so don't mix them up.

Lagos not among, with the high population. Not surprised!

Meanwhile,
Lagos indigenous Yoruba have not always been as populous as Yoruba from big ancient Yoruba cities like Ile-Ife, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Abeokuta etc so it's not unusual. This doesn't mean Lagos may not be high but probably within the top 15-20 states .

Oyo, Ogun and Osun states top the list of 12 states with the highest applications for the 2024 UTME. Oyo, Ogun and Osun have highest 2024 UTME applications.

This is very impressive. The SW takes the top 3 slots. I must applaud HE Seyi Makinde for this feat Oyo state achieved during his tenure. This is the list of the indigenes of the state registered for the JAMB UTME exams. If it's by number of candidates registered to sit for the exam in a state , I believe that Lagos state should be number one on such a list.

The girls registered for JAMB keeps beating the number of boys. O ga o. It's time to invest in the boy education too o.

BREAKING: EFCC to arraign Cubana Chiefpriest over naira abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will, on Wednesday, arraign Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chiefpriest, over alleged naira abuse.

This comes few days after popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, bagged a six-month jail term over naira abuse.

According to the anti-graft agency, Cubana Chiefpriest will appear before the Federal High Court in Lagos for spraying and tampering with the naira.

This was contained in charge sheet filed on April 4, 2024, by EFFC’s prosecutor Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) alongside seven other lawyers representing the chairman of the anti-graft agency.

It reads: “That you, Okechukwu Pascal on 13th Feb. 2024, at Eko Hotel, within the jurisdiction of the court, while dancing during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same for two hours, and you thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007”.

“That you Okechukwu Pascal sometime in 2020, in Lagos during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same for two hours, and you thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007.”

”That you Okechukwu Pascal sometime in January 2024, in Lagos during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same and you thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007.”

Politics Nigeria understands that more celebrities will be arraigned for spraying the naira at huge parties in the coming days.

Politics / Re: Abia-Based Steel Company Cries Out Over Labour Shortage, Workers Needed by FreeStuffsNG: 4:47pm On Apr 16
KillahPriest:
Run a discreet investigation by going to Ikorodu industrial area where a lot of steel companies are and finding out how much these Asians pay their Nigerian workers and the conditions those workers operate in then you'll understand why an Aba boy will rather learn a skill or trade than work as a slave cool
How does working in a steel plant become slavery? If it's as horrible as you make it seem those industries would have packed up. The reason the Aba boy may not prefer it is because it is more difficult and you don't get immediate gratification with money unlike in apprenticeship or trading settings where you immediately start seeing and getting small small change. Many of such eventually quit such apprenticeships for riding okada upandan.

I watched the ceremony on Channels TV yesterday night. It was absolutely brilliant and it ended with the VP, HE Kashim Shettima, declaring April 7 as the national police day.

The high points for me were the awards for the OC Legal officers, Awards for integrity and post humous awards which attracted extra N20m from Kano state government, N20m from the Senate and N1m personal donation by the Senate President, HE Godswill Akpabio, to each family of the post humous award winners. Muyiwa and the MC did excellent job and the IG was looking so sharp, very young and handsome fully decked in his official ceremonial uniform. It was a great night indeed.

Congratulations to the Nigeria Police Leadership and men and women of the force.

The steel sector requires a lot of manpower and it's a salaried job. Some of the youths in the area may not like salaried job.

In Bayelsa state, most of the taxi drivers are from Osun state because when the state was first created there was scarcity of skilled workers in the road transport sector in Bayelsa, the milad went to his home town of Oshogbo to persuade the cab operators to relocate to Yenagoa to help him provide that service.
