Celestialsword:Probably apart from the Senate President, and let's say OGD and OUK, most of the other bills look more like creation of agencies and federal universities! Is it that the Senate is created for agency creation bills ni? Agencies that the Federal Executive council will scrap or merge some day. Smh. The efficiency of the Senate doesn't depend on bills but active and effective representation of your constituents at the Federal level. The Senators from Lagos and the South West states can help push for the designation of Lagos state to enjoy a special status as a former capital. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Owner Of Hi Tech Construction Company Wins Controversial Lagos-calabar Coastal R by FreeStuffsNG: 9:58pm On Apr 15 |
HiTech (H.C.C) built that tolled solid Lekki Epe expressway and gifted Lagos state the adjoining bridge that connects Ozumba Mbadiwe road to Falomo bridge. That bridge Hitech gave Lagos state really helped Lagosians to quickly cut off the heavy traffic on Ozumba, Adetokunbo Ademola etc. as you no longer need to stay on same lane with others heading to Bonny camp or Marina. Hitech is competent and experienced to build a solidly built modern tolled highway. Others clearly do not have such experience. I can't recall JB or Craneburg gifting a state a bridge. In fact, the Craneburg is allegedly mentioned in the allegation against the Abia State Governor, HE Alex Otti, that the state is indebted to it for a project that allegedly didn't go through the state assembly. Chagoury family created value and added value to Lagos , that's why they and their HCC are reckoned with today. 5 Likes |

shepherd316:That inflation numbers went up doesn't mean your money has lost value, it's not absolute and as we type here, there are products like Indomie etc that their prices have dropped in the last one month. Inflation numbers are calculated from few products and services sampled and their prices compared with a base the previous month. Don't ascribe a holy grail to it. New numbers are already in the works as I type now but will not be released until later next month yet you have already benefited from the lower price. 1 Like |

Apart from his love for knowledge, he was brilliant, diligent, upright, generous and had a great mentor in late Chief Folawiyo who held him by the hand and mentored him. You may please read up about Baba Folawiyo too. Nice one by you. Thank you for sharing. 1 Like 1 Share |

MasterTeeUSA: oluwaseyi0:Indomie generation will not know him. You should read up about him He is not your generation of civil servants. He is in the generation of civil servants who worked with the Late Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande of 1979 to 1983. I am sure the indomie generation don't even know Baba LKJ Jakande Baba Kekere It's like asking how Pa Oba Otudeko who was and retired as a Bank Manager/ Director in 1983 is now today the majority shareholder of First Bank Plc. If you steal money , no matter how entrepreneurial you are, you would have lost all from the 1980s till now. People who steal always lose all over time. That's why Chief Fanimokun is pushing knowledge. It's greed and obscene ignorance that makes anyone think he or she can build sustainable wealth by stealing from others then going to invest the stolen funds in a business, such businesses get afflicted with badluck and die within a short while. 4 Likes 1 Share |

“Entrepreneurship is the key to prosperity, and with entrepreneurship training, skill acquisition and promotion of small and medium enterprises, the sky is the limit for the future of the young ones in our potentially great nation.” I have been at a book launch that held at the University of Lagos, Department of Mass Communications, some years ago, Chief was there with some of his juniors at MBHS, Lagos, Old Boys Association. Chief Fanimokun didn't only donate a huge sum to support the book launch and the author, he also gave each person in attendance a copy of his own book he authored. He is deeply intellectually oriented and loves books. These are the little seen silent Billionaires Baba Isales in the South West, they will do everything possible to ensure that the Yoruba continue to maintain the centuries of headstart edge we Yoruba have in education, culture, technology and entrepreneurship. To crown it, he is spending all this to name, not in his own name but after a departed Egbon, bossom friend and his mentor, Chief Folawiyo of blessed memory. Chief Fanimokun is an exceptional leader and I am very proud of the legacies he is leaving behind. We pray for more years of great health, prosperity and joy in your life sir. Happy birthday to you sir. Congrats Yabatech. Chief, please remember University of Lagos (UNILAG) too o sir May God bless you, Lagos state and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is very impressive of HE Matawale. Nigerians of nothern extraction currently serving in the federal cabinet of FG must defend the services they rendered to the nation. I expect someone like Mallam Ribadu to speak up too because he has been doing a great job as the NSA. It's a worthy challenge and it's only if you have nothing to show as proof of your service to the nation that you will keep silent when you are being challenged by NEF who belong to your constituency. It is not today that NEF attacks APC- led FG, they work for HE Atiku and constantly attacking PMB then too. May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs! 119 Likes 10 Shares |

Foreign Affairs / Re: 50% Of Iranian Missiles Failed To Launch Or Crashed Before Reaching Israel. by FreeStuffsNG: 11:37am On Apr 15 |
Yinmu. The missiles destroyed the military bases inside Israel where the F-35 jets used to bomb the Iranian embassy are parked. Here's a report on Sky news tv quoting inside sources within Israel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ilb2cm3_VPY?si=QeNgle2Y8PsDB38S War is bad so let's stop the mischief. It was so bad that Israel can't show the world the devastation it caused. I am so happy for the lives saved and that could have been lost if those 300+ missiles and drones successfully landed in Israel. Isreal is a tiny country and not everyone inside Israel supports the war or are Israeli. There are Nigerians currently in Isreal now for various reasons, missiles don't identify nationalities or religion when it explodes. Please pray for this war to end. |

bobchigar:Yeah, according to the list but not true representation of someone like Chief Mike Adenuga who is worth far more but because Glo and some of his businesses like the upstream arm of conoil are not listed on the stock exchange, they are not accurately included. Those two businesses are far more lucrative and worth far more but not listed on the stock exchange unlike Dangote and Rabiu who listed their own businesses. It's like calculating the worth of Dangote minus the Dangote Refinery 1 Like |

It's likely another history revisionism. Wikipedia is not credible, it is not even accepted as a reference and with the previous failed attempt to revise the history of the Yoruba who produced the present day Benin royalty and Yoruba Awori's prime place as the original and authentic owners of Isale Eko, Lagos, many people will doubt any account of 'history' from same place That a descendant of same Obaseki could even be a Governor today shows that the family has not lost its place of significance in Benin or suffered from any wrong proclamation against him and his descendants. 18 Likes 2 Shares |

Not all the drones and cruise missiles were intercepted. Just one missile alone fired from inside Iran that eventually successfully landed in Isreal is an act of war. One more thing, it's very expensive to intercept those drones and missiles. Such costs became a serious problem when tax payers in UK discovered that the UK spent about $1m to intercept an Iran-made drone that costs far less fired by the Houthis. It was after the uproar that the UK went low key in the war against the Houthi. The cost is always very huge on the part of the US and Israel. Iran manufactures cheap and potent technological weapons and the west doesn't have that comparative advantage. 8 Likes 1 Share |
