hayqinsbFX: Don't think this way, what about countries that require you have your medical before application for visa. It's a privilege to be able to apply without the medical and then get requested to do it later on. I understand the pain, but from my observation when you're requested to go for medicals barely 2weeks to 4weeks of submitti an application, then you shouldn't jump atall as it's just a way to speed up th process of giving you a reply should in case it's eventually needed.
During rush hour like this, it happens a lot. I understand, I just wanna be hopeful, I kinda like your very detailed insight, but they need to do it all before contacting us. |

Dazlinga: Sorry brof I totally understand how well it may hurt but let's look critically into this..I don't think refusal after medicals should be addressed as quoted by you on the bold considering the fact that no foreigner owns those medical facilities plus it's not only the Canadian embassy that use some of these facilities for health/fitness assessments,(I may be wrong though), Consultant practice assess applicants for American embassy as well, so I don't think it's nice to say they are exploiting you, a visit to the Canadian embassy, it's stated clearly, Canadian Visa is not your right but a privilege. So my guy we are at their mercy and ofcourse God, I think there may be some errors which was spotted last minute after your medical passed..Or there was a change in VO that did another assessment on your docs and didn't find it appealing to them..Just package your app very well this time, and ask God to intervene... I beg to defer boss. I aint saying that it is my/our sole right to gain entry into Canada, I have neither said so nor implied something close to that. I believe the VOs ought to have concluded their jobs like they used to before requesting for medicals. I am also fully aware that the medical panels are not owned by the Canadian embassy, but I am AGAINST ENRICHING THEM. Spending a little extra which could have been avoided in vain remains unexplainable to me, I wish myself and all TRV hopefuls best of luck. |

Our govt. has to come to the aid of ordinary Nigerians, it is so so sad for one to waste 28-48k and more for logistics such as transportation, hotel accommodation and feeding for the three days one will be out of his/her place of residence. Spending more is crazy and I think it is a daylight robbery of helpless Nigerians. This ugly trend has to change and govt. should not allow any foreign govt. exploit us in our own land. To all TRV hopeful including myself I wish us luck and God's favour, even after Medical passed, it ain't no longer certain, but we will clap back at last. |

The wait after "medical passed" is over killing, though it ain't yet up to 2weeks but it's almost as if it's 2years, it's almost like a pass to Heaven, I just wanna know the decision. |

I went for medicals at IOM, sadly I was told they were all booked till Monday next week, I also went to Quality of life in Victoria Island same story, I had to travel back without fulfilling my mission. Doing this costs money, I believe the VO should understand our plight, it is saddening calling people for medicals if they won't be given, so so infuriating. |

metrecube: Do you have any criminal record. Have u been to prison before? If your answer is NO. Be rest assured that you are okay. PCC is not compulsory like ur soa. If VO needs it, he or she will request for it. You are on track. Cheer up. A medical request in the past was almost a 96% success guaranty, but today its different, we still have to pray hard after the medical request, what is happening? Mine will be different in Jesus name Amen. I am going to have my TRV and same applies to all reading this message. |

I am new on nairaland.I did my biometrics on the 9th October, I applied using online route, I did not submit a Police Character Certificate because I never knew if it was needed, I received a medical request email yesterday, please does this mean that my application has been reviewed? What is its implication? I need words from you all, thanks. |

freezingus: I received a medical call without submitting a police report certificate. I was thinking they will demand for it, but till present they have not done so, rather I got a medical test email. Please advise fellow Nairalanders. |
