The Ijaws Nation make more clamor of our Coexistence because of the crude but the chunk of it comes from Akwa Ibom not Bayelsa or Delta State.

More than half of the crude produced in Rivers State comes from the Ijaw areas and almost half of that produced in Delta is in their areas. They also produce 60% of the crude in Edo and Ondo States. Add Bayelsa to these and you will begin to understand why they appear to "make more clamour of our coexistence".

The Gulf states enjoy a massive production volume, extremely low population, so their governments can actually give it away for free, if they choose to. Just Imagine Bayelsa state keeping their 600,000 barrels a day for themselves only. Petrol will be N10 in yenegoa, not the N160 paid by the locals with or without subsidy. Nigeria is not Venezuela neither are we the gulf states.

You've got valid points there. Our "volume of production to population ratio" is way out in left field. But the bottom line is that our output though not all sufficient, is adequate for us to buy fuel at a rate far below that of non producers. Non oil producing countries of necessity buy crude at international price, pay for it's transportation and refining, all from their pockets. But we don't need to dip our hands into our "pockets" for any of the above. Our crude have got/should get us covered. And we don't need to buy crude at international price. NNPC have got crude allocation for that. So there is really no need for us to buy fuel at $1.1 or whatever.

Well, petrol is three times cheaper in Venezuela, the gulf states, etc, than Nigeria and more than five times cheaper than is obtained in South Africa and other non oil producing countries. How about that?

Benue State churns out hundreds of thousands of tons agricultural produce annually. As a result, the state's residents could practically get some products next to nothing. This is not the case with Lagos and some other states. We are an oil producing country. We shouldn't buy petrol at the same price that non oil producing countries like South Africa do.

How is that so? Do you care to explain what informed this your position. Remember Nigeria is an oil producing country? There are inherent benefits in being a producer of something that you just cannot deny a people from enjoying. Why do you think most foodstuffs are far cheaper in states like Benue than in Lagos, Rivers, etc.

Why do you think serious countries build their economies around sectors they have comparative advantage?

As regards subsidy, PMB has already trashed that out. He said there is nothing like subsidy. He said our local installed refining capacity of about 450000 b/d(and fresh capacity will be added) is enough to cover our current needs. And where the local output is inadequate, as is currently the case, due to the poor state of our refineries, the crude equivalent of our petroleum products needs will be taken abroad for refining, and the cost of refining and transportation offset with crude( that is, for the period the refineries will be shut down for TAM). What else is there to talk about?

I don't think this should stop private refineries from springing up. The export market is there for those that strictly want to sell at $1.1/liter. PMB's plan should adequately cover our local refining and consumption needs. I hope he fulfils it.

Poorer countries pay this. We produce 2.2 million barrels per day, rich countries like Russia US, China, India UK Brazil that produces up to 5 times more oil than we do pay this. Poorer countries like Haiti Angola Gabon also pay this. Even poorer and remote villages in Nigeria, burutu Nembe, mambila pay 200 plus for a liter. So what is the problem with it all gone? I'm 2012, sanusi and Iwealla with Allison went round TV stations explaining the steps to fully deregulate the downstream sector, no one listened. 65 Naira or nothing was the chant. I remember when Sanusi said the best way to put a fire out is to eliminate the source of the fire.

It was shame that GEJ and his ministers did not have the political tenacity to completely do way with this fire. Buhari seems to have it. He will remove it, fuel will sell at 180-220 per liter[/b]

Why N180-N220 per liter? I thought I read somewhere that the current subsidy payments is N2.7 or so per liter. That should bring the total amount to N90/liter or so. Where is the N180-N220 coming from?

The phone has since stopped recognizing the card, but it accepts other cards. And when I insert the card into another phone, it works perfectly.

Please, what steps should I take to resolve this, especially being able to make use of the cwm recovery and stock ROM? Please what should I do? Thanks.

Of the $18 billion domestic dept incurred between 2007 and 2015, only about $1 billion was directly under Jonathan. I'm not defending anybody. Most politicians and the two dominant political parties are pretty much the same. Just stating the facts.

Yes. To flash a custom ROM safely, the following steps need to be carried out:

1. Root the phone.
2. Flash CWM Recovery or any other one of your choice.
3. Backup your stock ROM, apps and data to your SD card using CWM Recovery(after booting into recovery mode).
4. Backup your downloaded apps and their data with Titanium Backup.
5. Now you are ready to flash or install your custom ROM.
