PhonesRe: GLO New Cheap Data Plans & Prices (2GB For N1,000) by frehage: 7:13am On Jun 01, 2016
dammybas:
The other day I did a thread of most affordable data plans here https://www.nairaland.com/3120544/cost-effective-data-plans-get little did i know GLO was just laughing at me for not including them very well in the post. Well, GLO have unleashed brand new data plans at extremely affordable prices. This is surely going to make the competition very interesting to watch.

The new Data plans and prices are:
2Gb for N1,000
6gb for N2,000
10Gb for N2,500
12Gb for N3,000
18Gb for N4,000
24Gb for N5,000
48Gb for N8,000
Dial *777# to subscribe.

If you recall, MTN offered 10GB for N5,000, now you get 24Gb for that same amount with GLO. Note that all tplans last for 30Days and work on all devices.

That JUNK you called confabulation will not be implemented because it is unconstitutional, illegal and a waste of resources. Besides buhari isn't the appropriate "body" to implement it, your NA is the body to implement it. Buhari won't give in to any cheap blackmail from any part of this country. Militants say they will make his government ungovernable, we are keenly waiting for them. I promised you, the avengers or whatever they are called will regret the very first day they blew up a pipeline just to spite the president. And tompolo should pray very hard because when he is finally apprehended like the common criminal that he is, believe you me he will never be the same again.

Already the militants/economic terrorists asked for it because they thought they are somehow "invincible and untouchable", but the creeks will be comb and the rag tag militias will eventually be smoked out. It was done in sambisa forest which is by far bigger than the tiny creeks the avengers are hiding in, same thing will be repeated in the creeks.

BUHARI WILL NEVER DIALOGUE with any criminal group. Militancy in the Niger/delta will be stamped out once and for all
All this grammar because of oil. Nawa!!! Please come and evacuate and transplant the your to your community and region and let there be peace.

For ona mind now, ona be internal colonialists abi? Lol... lipsrsealed.

I would love to learn of your community's and region's contributions to the Federation Account. You guys must be bringing in a hefty sum to give you the moral justification to talk this condescendingly to a people you claim as part 'one Nigeria'.

Anyway, no sane mind supports violence (NDA's methods). Diplomacy, peaceful advocacy is the best path to take.

Not immediate predecessors, who should be the first priority because it most affects the incumbent's administration.
OBJ's $16B could have given us an additional 10000MW. IBB's $12B or is it $15B, in today's dollar terms, could have built four refineries.

PMB would have had far less headaches today if these huge sums were not embezzled, regardless of what GEJ did or didn't do; or what do you think sir?

Sir, I thought they are also PMB's predecessors, or are they not?

Oh my god! You have been most helpful. God will bless you o! I didn't know I can even browse with edge until I tried it now, i also searched and found where I can restrict background data. I'll go and switch of auto sync now. Thank you so much, you are God sent. I now dread receiving a message from 127 because am seriously tired of having to subscribe 6gb every week. God bless you

Nah now OP they know? I have been doing the 3000naira 6gb since April but it hardly lasts me more than a week cos glo is fast and am always downloading and uploading
Go to your phone's settings and restrict background data and switch off auto-sync. Use 3G strictly for downloading and streaming, and Edge for browsing. You can also switch off images from your browser from time to time, especially when visiting websites with heavy media footprints.

You will be amazed how long just 10mb will last you, i.e., if you are only browsing, not to talk of 6Gig. And when you download a 100mb movie for example, 100mb is what will be deducted from your balance. You will no longer have to deal with the headache of downloading a 70mb stuff but ending up instead with a deduction of 100mb.

And last but not the least, beware of play store. It's an mb drunkard( due to it's many icons and images).

PoliticsRe: EFCC Recovers $3.1bn In 6 Months – Kayode Oladele by frehage: 10:47pm On May 13, 2016
allycat:
Wrong TSA funds are Federal only. They are not recovered funds or stolen funds. For instance this year all ministries will have their allocation from the budget paid into TSA, from their they can make withdrawals to pay salaries and run their ministries. They cannot hold accounts in commercial banks. Agencies is like WAEC, JAMB, Customs etc will have accounts in the TSA so if you need to pay for JAMB you pay via REMITA into the TSA. Even Unity Federal school fees are paid into TSA and the schools withdraw from their accounts there.Even proffesional bodies like the Medical and Dental council now have accounts in the TSA and all practising licences are paid via Remita. There All government did with TSA was pool all Federal government funds into a single account nothing more. The Federal government cannot use it to fund the budget because most of it is money already accounted for in previous budgets. The only money the government can add to future budgets are receipts from agencies like customs, NNPC which are generating.
Simple analogy is a father saying all membrane of a family should use only one account. Then when they bring their money from their individual accounts announcing that the family has just made XYZ amount.
We are essentially saying the same thing. All revenues generated and channelled into the TSA by parastatals like the NNPC, FIRS, Customs, NPA, NIMASA, etc., belong to the entire Federation. This is where the monthly Federal Allocations to the three tiers of government come from.

The FG retains it's share in special accounts in the TSA and funds the Federal Budget from there. The state governments and L.G.A.'s mostly take their's out and into commercial banks.

Remita has mopped up over 4 trillion with the TSA, EFCC has recovered trillions, bullhari has borrowed trillions yet Nigerians are still being forced to subsidy this government with irrelevant taxes and petrol price increment.

where are all these monies going to?
Funds in the TSA belong to the three tiers of government, not the FG alone, you know.

I don't support their methods actually. I was simply stating some of the feelings behind their actions. But they lack the numbers to push anything forward in the NASS. Maybe that also adds to their frustration.

What solutions are you proposing sir.

Is part of your agitation for Biafra includes destroying public infrastructure and assets in the East? Why not start with the pulling down of University of Nigeria in Nsukka to show you mean business.
You people like giving people things you can't tolerate
I think they bomb these assets without any emotional attachment even though they are in their backyard because they feel no sense of ownership or sense of belonging. The assets and oil blocks are owned by people of other regions. And for those owned by the FG , the NNPC et al are dominated by these same regions.

Give Niger Deltans a little sense of ownership(not just derivation) and this recurring restiveness will magically disappear.

Well, lemme restate categorically that Ikwerres are not a part of whatever alliance either real or Imagined with Igbo elements until we address squarely the fallouts of the Biafran war. Tanx.
What are these fallouts you want addressed squarely?

Your opinion is quite appreciated
I've already worked a formula whereby all ethnicities in the SESSRA would live in mutual exclusion.
The tag Biāfra though arouses fear in Igbo neighbors, the name reminds Igbos of a period in which their talents were put in full use with no one suppressing nor putting a bar to their ambitions just bkos they're Igbos.

In that formula, Igbo and Ibibio groups would continue with the tag while the others like Edoids, Ijoids etc would answer whatever names they fancy smiley
Do you mind throwing more light on your formula?

Natural gas can replace petrol effectively. It doesn't require refining, so no need of refineries. We have it in abundance, and in fact flair it to great economic loss. It can run our cars, and even power our generators, and cook our food in stead of LPG.

Some commercial buses in Benin City have been running on natural gas for like 4 years now under a program initiated by the former Petroleum Minister Madueke(Diezani).

Nigeria should consider natural gas as a national alternative to importation of petroleum products.
