Adenuga was a beneficiary of IBB's regime just like Dangote was a beneficiary though in a crooked way of OBJ's regime.
Do we then portend that Dangote is OBJ's front?

I have never read or heard where Mike Adenuga has been indicted for being a conduit for IBB's magomago.

Sahara reporters has been a reliable source of information, and I will not doubt the authenticity of the report.
To buttress the point, AIT Movistar has been delisted from SKY TV, this is a pointer that the story may be true.

Politics › Is Rilwan Lukman The Most Qualified Person On Petroleum Matters In Nigeria? by frenchman(op): 9:06am On Jul 31, 2009
It baffles me to no end, why a country as blessed in terms of human resources as Nigeria will continue to recycle one person over and over again.
Alhaji Rilwan Lukman has a postgraduate degree in Mineral Economics from McGill University in Canada. He has held several positions in the oil industry including the chairman of OPEC. This is a good credential, no doubt about that, but cant we have young, vibrant and articulate Nigerians who can also do this job. Alhaji has always been in Government since time immemorial, whether as an adviser or a minister.

The current heat generated by Alhaji's goof in demoting PTI to a college goes to show that he is out of touch with current happenings in the country. As if that was not enough, the new university will be sighted not only in the North, but in Alhaji's hometown of Kaduna.

Nairaland General › Postman Loses £130,000 To Nigerian Fraudsters In Internet Scam by frenchman(op): 2:50pm On Jan 16, 2009
A postman told today how he sank into depression and debt after losing £130,000 in an internet scam involving Nigerian fraudsters.
Shane Symington described how an apparently innocent friendship that he formed with an American woman through the MySpace website turned into a 'nightmare' as he started handing over money.

The 32-year-old said he was friends with 'Angela Gates' for several weeks in the spring of 2007 before she suddenly started asking for money to pay for her mother's funeral and medical expenses.
He said the requests then carried on for money to pay for legal fees so that the woman, who called herself Angela Gates, could free up land that she had inherited apparently worth $2million.

The requests continued throughout the year and, by last year, Mr Symington had handed over his bank details and more than £100,000.
He said that he became suspicious when the woman stopped communicating with him and contacted what he thought was a website run by the FBI in America but which turned out to be another scam.
Mr Symington, of Portsmouth, Hampshire, said he then got a text message from his 'friend' Angela who revealed that it was all a fraud.

'It said that it was all false and that Angela was actually a man from Nigeria', Mr Symington said.
'I guess he came clean because he thought he had taken all the money he could.'
But his problems did not end there as he was then contacted by another woman, again from America, claiming she had also been caught in the scam.
He said that he then helped pay her legal expenses and the cost of hiring two ex-FBI agents in an attempt to regain the lost money for both of them.
Mr Symington said that he now believes that these people are also involved in the scam. He said that he had paid out more than £30,000 to them, bringing his total losses to more than £130,000.

He said: 'I feel sick from it all, I feel disillusioned, they have just played on my good nature. I've lost my life-savings, I have two loans and credit card debts, I'm in huge debts because of all of this.
'Before this happened, I used to go out every night, now I just stay in because I've lost all the self-confidence in my life and I don't have the money to go out any more. I've also had five weeks off with depression from work.'
Warning others to be extremely careful before handing any money over to people they have met through the internet, he said: 'It's just wicked people getting everything they can get out of people.

'You just can't trust anyone on the internet. I want to warn people but I know I won't be the last to fall for something like this.'
Detective Constable Jon Knox, of Hampshire Police, added: 'This is a very sad situation, and this man has now parted with a huge sums of money through his own good nature - in trying to help others and then to recover some of what he had lost.
'We do not want anyone else to fall foul of this kind of shocking activity and I would warn anyone who is asked for money over the internet by people they do not know to refuse and not put yourself at risk.'
A police spokeswoman added that there was little police could do to help Mr Symington get his money back.
She said: 'The money cannot be recovered due to the current political situation in Nigeria, resulting in a lack of co-operation from the police in the country.'

Omotola,
So no one Nigerian abroad has been able to make 'it' legally? All Nigerians in UK, USA are either washing gutter or doing fraud, I think you have no idea what this is all about.
Travel › Re: Nigerians Abroad: What Advise Will You Give Anyone Relocating Abroad? by frenchman(m): 4:18pm On Jan 09, 2009
The responses have been quite helpful actually. I relocated to UK from Naija 2years ago despite having a good job in Nigeria. My reasons were career progression, better standard of living and sound education, and to God be the glory, I have never regretted my action.

I am a strong believer in Naija and hope to return home soon after I must accomplished my goals here. When I came here, I would say I lucky, cos I never did any odd job and have been doing a professional job since. I will be starting my Master's Degree, God's willing September 2009.
To God be the Glory, I just got a better job xmas eve, despite the credit crunch, so I would say everything depends on God's plan for one.

I would not advise anyone to come here illegally, please be focused and non-complacent. Cost of living is high, but in Naija we are used to not paying for anything, that is why we find it hard to adjust.

Reltel is not strong as ETB not alone Conoil or Glo, please let posters post reasonably.

It is an open fact that Mike Adenuga is richer than Dangote, the hypothesis you propound not withstanding.
The analysis is faulty

Politics › Re: Ribadu Flees Nigeria? by frenchman(m): 4:54pm On Dec 09, 2008
As much as I do not support the treatment being meted to Ribadu now by the Federal Govt., I strongly feel that history has a way of repeating itself. Whatever one sows shall surely reap in thousands of folds. During OBJ's inglorious 2nd term, Ribadu became a willing tool and did OBJ's bidding.
He chased Mike Adenuga out of the country over trumped up charge, disqualified Lanre Tejuoso, to pave the way for Iyabo Obasanjo, cleared the skin bleaching, thieving governor in oyo state to mention just a few.
This is pay back time for Ribadu.

Yes o, bringing in a wife from Naija is not always the best, most times the guys always regret this.
Girls here or from Naija, the content of the girls character should be paramount.

JJYOU,
Well said, I would have advised my friend to look at the divorce option, but I think it wont be right for me to be married and encouraging divorce of someone else.

We all knew how madam was before our friend brought her from Naija (no disrespect meant) grin, now that she is here, the center can no longer hold. May God save us from canterkerous women.

tangent,
I am also a married man, and its not that we go out all the time. I have never gone clubbing before.
You know unlike Naija, you really don't have the time going round clubbing, partying all the time when you have got work to do. but occassionally its not wrong for one to go out.
Personally, I think a woman that is jealous and possesive is suffering from an acute form of insecurity and inferiority complex.
Romance › Re: Prisoner Of Love: In The Guise Of Marriage by frenchman(op): 4:04pm On Oct 29, 2008
I quite agree with a lot of the posters. My friend was madly in love during courtship and failed to notice the shortcomings of madam. Sometimes guys love with their heart rather than with their brains.
Romance › Prisoner Of Love: In The Guise Of Marriage by frenchman(op): 1:07pm On Oct 29, 2008
A very good friend of mine has become a prisoner in the name of marriage. His wife has driven all of us (his friends) away, the guy does not hang out again. If he comes late from work, he is in trouble with madam.

If he ventures to go out, madam will time him, and he dare not exceed the time. If he dares make any shakara like a man would want to do, madam will threaten to call police or abandon the kids.

Our friend has become so unhappy and frustrated. I stopped visiting my friend, the day madam stopped my pal from coming with me to a party I had invited him to. The excuse was that my pal didnt inform madam on time.

Marriage could really be a nightmare sometimes. embarassed
