Why all the bashing about how they look? Is it really necessary? There's a lot to be said about people who constantly put others down. In a nutshell, We should learn to appreciate our own.
Here we see people buy magazines because Tyler Perry is on the cover or because Halle Berry is on the cover. At the end of the day they are all celebrities who needs to be encouraged when they appear on any spread. These are our celebrities we should encourage and appreciate them instead of constantly pulling them down with negative words.

@Negozi, it depends on what program he's considering for his PHD? One thing for sure if he comes here as an international student for PHD, it's definitely not cheap. The highest degree that i've pursued here in Canada is Bachelors and I graduated a couple of years ago, so I doubt if I'm the right person to talk about PHD programs. I can suggest www.ouac.on.ca as a starting point to begin applications. But before you start on this website, your brother must have an idea of his top 3 choices for schools he would love to attend as well the program of his choice. There are a lot of schools in Canada, he has to also figure out the city and province he would want to study in. Some school are cheaper than others. Hope this helps. Maybe someone else on the thread can provide more insights.

That child born today admidst all roadblocks, economic and political instability has a lifetime to reverse his/her destiny. I'm tired of reading all these reports that categorizes Nigeria as the worst place in the world......#so untrue

First of all, I don't know if this topic is in the right section, if it's not apologies to those affected.
So I recently registered as a user to this site. I've been a passer by for a while now. I'm addicted to the site and I love the fact that it's quite informative and entertaining.
My issue though is why do other fellow Nairalanders resort to bullying other people by insulting them? I have come to a painful realization that you need to have a thick skin to post anything on this site, so that people's rude and insulting comments doesn't affect you. I've no troubles with this, but does it have to be this way?
