And what if he requested for another punishment rather than go to jail or pay #20k? That thought didn't come to your head? Or you haven't or seen situation where an offender plead for a lesser punishment before? Let's always think outside the box.

It shouldnt be about what is better or worse. He is not a judge and does not have discretionary powers. He should leave the use of discretion to the Court.

Everybody has the right to human dignity no matter the offence committed. Its the law.

You weren't there when the incident happened, so you can't really say what happened before the frog jump.

Whoever does not see anything wrong with this must be a barbarian. The man committed a traffic offence and there is a prescribed punishment for it. That is why we have laws. You punish him according to how the law prescribes e.g community service.

It seems some people on this thread know nothing about fundamental human rights.

Dignity to put his life and that of other road users in danger?
Dignity to behave like an animal?

Just because something is normal doesn't make it right. The exception to homos is the same exception to incest and bestiality. I am not patting any other sin in the back. Also adultery is still pretty frowned upon but it is a wide know truth that people cheat. Even fornication is still a little frowned upon. Incest is not really strange because people were still doing it at abraham's time. Adultery and fornication was also common. What is common is not called strange.
