This is to bring to the notice of all candidates intending to take part in the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) May/June Examination that registration  for the examination has commenced.

Candidates should also note that the 2019 NABTEB May/June registration procedure has been designed to accommodate biometric features that will be used for validation at the examination centres.

How To Apply For 2019 May/June NABTEB Examination

The registration for the May/June 2019 examinations which is currently on-going will lead to the award of the following:

National Business Certificate (NBC)
National Technical Certificate (NTC)
General Education Certificate

The examinations consist of examinable General Education Subjects and Trades at Ordinary Level.

PERIOD OF REGISTRATION: The biometric and online registration is expected to end on Monday, 25th March, 2019, while the examination is scheduled to hold from Monday, 6th May to Friday, 7th June, 2019.

Candidates who pass all the required Trade subjects, Trade-related and General Education Subjects qualify as Certified Craftsmen. NABTEB qualified Craftsmen with NBC/NTC have opportunity to be employed, self-employed and employers of labour.

NABTEB CERTIFICATION

NABTEB Ordinary Level Certificate offer multiple advantages to candidates:

Candidates who pass all the required Trade subjects, Trade-related and General Education Subjects qualify as Certified Craftsmen. NABTEB qualified Craftsmen with NBC/NTC have opportunity to be employed, self-employed and employers of labour. They are also qualified to fill the existing skills gap needed for Nigeria’s technological advancement.
With General Education subjects integrated in the NABTEB examination structure, candidates with enough Credits are qualified for admission to institutions of higher learning within and outside Nigeria.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CANDIDATES

Entries that do not conform with the Board’s regulations would be rejected.
The Board will ensure that examinations take place as provided on the Timetable at various centres. However, changes if any, will be communicated to candidates through the mass media or through their centres.
Candidates are strongly advised to check for such vital information at their centres/NABTEB web-site at least three (3) days before the commencement of the examinations.
The Board reserves the right to cancel or withhold the results of any candidate in whole or in part for reasons connected with examination malpractice and irregularities.
The Board, its employees or agents shall be relieved from all responsibilities, for any injury, delay, loss or damage however caused and of whatever kind, arising/resulting directly or indirectly from any action, neglect or default on their part while acting in the course of or connection with the Board’s
The Board may reject the scripts of any candidate in any paper for which the candidate has not been duly registered.
Only three (3) changes would be allowed for trades/subjects after registration. However, no change would be allowed for Bio-data entries.

Make sure your passport is 160px by 200px and size is less than 30kb.
Click on the ‘Apply’ link.
Fill in the PIN, and serial number gotten from the purchased scratch card.
Fill the form displayed and submit.
Write down your Candidate Number in a safe place.

EXAMINATION RULES

Examination Malpractice Act No. 33 of 1999: The attention of candidates is hereby drawn to the provisions of Examination Malpractice Act No. 33 of 1999 which provide stiff penalties for examination malpractice. Candidates are therefore warned to desist from actions that would breach the provisions of the Act.
Candidates are not allowed to bring textbooks, scripts or plain sheets of paper into the hall, except materials which they have been specifically told to bring for the examination.
Candidates must not communicate with each other during the examinations.
Candidates wishing to ask questions should draw the attention of the supervisor/invigilator by raising their hands.
The Board does not accept responsibility for the loss of books, bags, or other property which candidates bring to the examination centre.
A candidate who disobeys any of these instructions may be asked to discontinue his or her work, by the supervisor who is under instruction to report such disobedience to the Board.
Where examination officials or school authorities are involved in Examination malpractice or irregularities, candidates may report directly to the Board with proof.

COMPLAINTS/ APPEALS

Candidates are allowed to make formal complaints/appeals with regard to specific examinations and other sundry matters based on the following guidelines.

Complaints/appeals relating to registration and related matters must be received before the close of registration.
All complaints on results and related matters must be received not later than six (6) months after the release of results.
Complaints received after this period will not be entertained.
Letters of complaints/appeals should be addressed to Registrar/Chief Executive, NABTEB, Benin – City indicating full name, registration and Centre name/number, type and year of examination, current location/postal address, GSM number, e-mail (if available) and other relevant information.


IRREGULAR ENTRIES

No results would be issued to candidates who sit for papers for which they have not been registered.
However, if you register for a paper and your name does not appear on the Marks and Attendance Sheet, report to the supervisor, who has been authorized to take appropriate action. If you have been entered for the wrong paper(s) or your name is mis-spelt, you must let the supervisor know immediately to effect correction.
Multiple/double Registration (registering for two or more trades at the same time) would be invalidated.

The Leventis Foundation Nigeria was established in 1988 to take over and expand the work the “Nigeria Advisory Panel” of the A. G. Leventis Foundation, which had been active since 1979. In support of the Federal Government’s new Educational Programme with its emphasis on self-sufficiency in food production, the Foundation took a major policy decision in 1986 by choosing as its main goal the training of young farmers in modern agricultural methods.

To date nine schools have been established in Nigeria and Ghana specialising in innovative ways of training small scale farmers to improve productivity, efficiency and environmental sensitivity, taking advantage of the latest research at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture and elsewhere.

The trainees spend a year at the schools and then, returning to their farms and communities, are advised and supported by the schools’ extension programmes.

By their example, they transfer their skills to other farmers in their area, whilst the schools also organise short training courses and farmers’ field days for the surrounding communities. The Foundation is also a prime mover in the preservation of natural resources in co-operation with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation.

A major contribution in this field involves the construction of a Resources Centre at Okomu, in a government-protected high rainfall forest area in Edo State and the setting up of an agro-forestry conservation programme for local farmers.

The Foundation’s activities in West Africa started with the inauguration of the Nigerian Advisory Panel in 1979.Between 1981 and 1987, the Foundation donated equipment, workshop tools and teaching aids to ten technical colleges in order to help promote the vocational training of Nigerian youths.

The Foundation supports and finances ad-hoc but strategic initiatives that can improve agricultural education and training towards a sustainable development of the agriculture and rural sector of the economy in the sub-region.

The Foundation develops and publishes periodicals and magazines, especially those aimed at improving the performance of small scale framers.

Purpose

To deliver and maintain standard, consistent and realistic cost estimates reflecting the assessed risk parameters for each project.

Accountabilities:

Methodologies and tools for Cost Estimates - Utilize cost methodologies and tools to produce cost estimates (Type-0&1) inclusive of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up scope and costs. Incorporate project complexity factors into project estimates and assemble key input data such as project objectives, scope and execution plan.

Formulate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters. Perform scenario comparisons and uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks. Support reviews and assurance of cost estimates. Benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPIs.

Assess prospect scope and main components to develop consistent ""building block"" estimates (Type-2) for each concept under consideration.

Translate the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs composed of detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours (Type-3). Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.

The phone gets a unique gradient rear glass panel that offers a V-shaped pattern as light falls on it.



The front-facia of the View 20 is equally unique as it is Honor's first smartphone (and one of the first phones ever) to come with a hole in the display to house a selfie camera. The punch-hole selfie camera design is expected to go mainstream this year as an alternative to the notch.

The Federal Government yesterday had again met with members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities in a bid to resolve the on-going strike by the Union.

At the meeting, Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige assured the Union that the Federal government will do anything within it's power to make sure that the strike be called off. The meeting was held at the ministry of Labour and Employment.

Ngige said the President has directed him to pass the night here until all issues that have kept students away from school are resolved and strike called off.
