@Ofoka well said bruv, any artiste who is smart shud know this. it's more than just knowing how to sing/rap. |
and this is a good way to start. Perhaps someone out there might take notice of this. I believe we can make it work by taking the right and necessary steps. Nigerian artistes needs more than just the talent to sing/rap/produce they need good/sound knowledge of the industry and their rights as artistes/musicians/producers. http://www.mcsnnigeria.org/1tco |
Out of curiosity, I googled and read somewhere on the net why Nigerian artistes don't get royalties. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art200805164514487 I personally think it's unfair because without the creative works of these artistes the music channels won't get viewers. It's like this music videos(artistes)=Viewers=Adverts=Income for the music channel. No Music video---No Viewer----No adverts---No income. So therefor, I think the Nigerian artistes deserve a share of that income. The information I gathered on the link above suggest that artistes are not paid royalties because there are no collection bodies for the royalties to be paid and the Law states that Royalties can not be paid directly to artistes! The question I want to ask is what is the PMRS (Performing mechanical rights society) there for? I personally feel it's high time we the artistes fight for what is rightfully ours. Something have to be done to stop this big rip-off! Perhaps, they (Music channels in Nigeria) are waiting for us (artistes) to speak because if we don't it only goes to show that we are "illeterates" and we don't know our rights! So they just sit back and call us fools while they enjoy what should have been ours.

she did the right thing! always stay true to your brand no matter what. |
It is called P.D.A (Public display of affection). I don't think there's any woman alive that doesnt like it. I know a lot of naija guys don't do it so I use it to my advantage and it could be the one single reason why a lady will still prefer you to another! yeah like for real. I do it with every girl i'm out on a date with. I will kiss in public (but don't get me wrong ol boy public get levelz o not like in Obalende/Oshodi b/stop lol). While kissing her I'm holding her backside in my palms and squeezing gently. I'm always hugging and kissing everytime i'm walking with a girl that's what i'm thinking look let's just stop and hold each other, let's play all the time. i know i'm naughty! ![]() |
I learned a lot from this thread. Coming back to review it refreshes my energy and enthusiasm! I really meant no harm to the notjustok guys. Mola and Ovie are really great people and in my own opinion they've achieved what a lot of people still dream! Olusesi is sincerely sorry for any inconveniences that might have been as a result of this thread. In other news, Olusesi's video is dropping anytime soon. As ya'll know, Olusesi is one up-coming naija artiste on the grind. So far, he's been able to achieve some things on his own and with the help of a few guys and some of you here like Faakay Telldem, Tosin, Lala, Ofoka, Rapjunkie, Elrazur, Obina5000 etc etc Olusesi wudn't have been able to come thus far. So, if you know anyone who wishes to sign an up-coming artiste that is hardworking, dedicated, talented and young pls you can recommend Olusesi to them. Thanks pals! OLUSESI "WE LOVE YOU"!

Make we no compare M.I and Vector abeg! both MCs respects each other. I've heard M.I on last year's hip-hop world awards yellow carpet saying that folks shud watch out for this new kid Vector and i've also heard Vector giving props to M.I on Kilode. Vector isn't out with his album yet "true" but they both got their styles and uniqueness. while some may love Vector others may cherish M.I. IMO Vector is better when it comes to word play but M.I is better when it comes to attitude and stage craft. Both 'em got swag. Don't get me wrong both 'em are very talented. Peace! |
