there was no insult to begin with. subsidy or no subsidy. when are the 4 refineries going to start working. all of this is smoke and mirrors. Olaide1295: I'm not going to insult you back. There's still subsidy on imported fuel. The landing price is 1150 per litre, but it's sold at 900 per litre. |
Politics › Re: N950/litre Dangote Petrol May Justify More Importation -marketers by frog12: 1:37pm On Sep 17, 2024 |
sulaak: The real problem in the house is NNPC.
They have no oversight on the quality of PMS importation. NNPC has destabilised the market with their subsidy. If the subsidy is removed, importation is quality controlled, and the modular refineries are supported, there will be more competition in the market. Nigeria has a well-developed downstream fuel sector with more than 1.5 million refinery capacity, numerous storage farms, roads and railways. The problem is NNPC
OBJ should have deregulated the fuel sectors in 2005 as he did with the cement and telecom sector.

i understand they were working 90 percent under Abacha. maybe he stopped them before he died. so we are suffering because of Abacha? na state capture to private pockets be dis. Flangelo12: No, they stopped working under Abacha.

the refineries stopped working under Gen. abdulsalam i think. bad constitution are just the legacy from handover of military. obasanjo tried to fix it, only for yar'adua to reverse it under political pressure from people we don't know Dangote supporter! Flangelo12: Political reasons even during Abacha's government.
I repeat, you are on the payroll of the marketers. |

it can be fixed. they don't want to fix it for political reasons Flangelo12: Refineries cannot be fixed.

Refineries should be sold. |

i though na you be the paid guy. the way things dey go, dem don confuse everyone. this is what they want. the clean way is to fix the 4 refineries. if mele kyari cannot do it since 2019, then why is tinubu keeping him around Flangelo12: I should ignore what the marketers themselves said?
Certainly, you are one of their paid propagandists. |

landing cost is added because that was imported petrol. this landing cost headline is wrong figure i think. see, Dangote refinery is in nigeria. why don't you admit, Dangote dey play everyone Flangelo12: Why are you confusing yourself?
The same marketers who claim Dangote's petrol is more expensive than when imported told us in June, that landing cost (outside of profit), is 1117 Naira. |

are you making any sense? so if subsidy still dey, dangote go fit sell for 850 naira per litre? it's all a game plan. the moment NNPC increase am to above 660 naira, Dangote too want sell for above 660 Naira you people are unbelievable. you were supporting Dangote, now your eyes don open, and you go start to curse am Olaide1295: Imported petrol cost per litre before subsidy: 1150 naira (or 0.8 dollars per litre). Dangote Petrol cost per litre before subsidy: 850 naira (or 0.55 dollars per litre).
Yet, NNPC is happy to subsidize imported one and not the one produced locally (because they get kickbacks and bribes). That company is a crime scene. |

all the scams against the country started under yar'adua, the P&ID scam, zhongustan plane seizing. this problem started under yar'adua when he reversed obasanjo decision to sell the refineries. it was all a game to give sapagote the monopoly. they reverse everything so sapagote can go back and build the refinery and nnpc sabotage the refineries. how can one man be responsible for refining crude oil for everyone? i mean this is not by chance. nnpc should fix the refineries so that prices can balance out for everyone. everyone supporting sapagote should be careful. na so dem INEC use Mike ogini and everybody dey praise am on Arise tv. wetin happen after? Inec no use bvas for president election. be careful being the mouthpiece of sapagote. what is happening now was all planned to give the man monopoly over pms. the person wey control pms prices will be the richest person in the country by far. he will be untouchable. nigerians no fit speak. casualobserver: Your posts highlight what I said in a previous post on the matter.
This is a PR exercise knowing that most Nigerians are ignorant and do not have 2brain cells between them. While one faction blames Dangote, the other will blame NNPC. The end game is that while you are blaming factions and taking sides, subsidy has now been totally removed. NNPC is happy, Dangote is happy, FGN is happy.
Reminds me of a situation when I was young. 2 friends were sleeping with the same girl. The girl thought she was playing both guys but both guys knew. I was there one day when both guys were narrating how one day one of them called and she gave him some cock and bull story because the other guy was with her. The guys were comparing notes and playing along. The guys got what they wanted and it was the girl that got played. I will not be surprised if DRL and NNPC are comparing notes and laughing at the gullibility, ignorance and stupidity of many Nigerians!!
Dangote is getting a market for his product at market rates, NNPC is no longer paying subsidies, FGN is getting g more revenue since NNPC is not paying subsidies. Nigerians don’t seem to realize they are now paying market price for PMS.
In a few months, when Naira to Naira PMS rolls into town price may go down a bit possibly also as a result in the fall in crude prices and Nigerians will celebrate.
This template has been used so many times……We are so predictable!! |
