Anyway, there was a petition against him and a panel recommended his suspension. The minister for health under Buhari, Professor Isaac Adewole, suspended him. He undermined the supervising minister and took a retinue of policemen to gain access to his office. That action pushed Buhari to dismiss him.

After his dismissal, he became a fierce critic of Buhari. He extended it to Tinubu. His criticisms are well thought-out and rounded. He even sometimes criticizes his own people in the north. Despite these, there are allegations against him. It is only fair that he has his day in court.
