As for those shouting scam up and down, I’m looking forward to them eating their words when those Doctors are eventually allowed to board the flight. They have a visa waiver. They have employment letters. They have written Plab 1 and Plab 2 (sorry for those that didn’t see Plab specifically mentioned in the article. The article assumed you had sense to understand that is what they meant by “exams”)
The total cost paid by all the doctors for the flight is not even enough to charter local flight let alone international flight. Yet people are still calling scam. Pull him down specialists. Doctors that spent years in school and wrote their Plab 2 in UK (they had visas that are likely expired by now) fell for a 500 quid scam. Na so. Scam wailers will eat their words before the week runs out.

Those who call this scam should know that desperate times calls for desperate measures. apart from their air ticket, did they pay any job placement fee? No! They all wrote PLAB since January so where exactly did they lose their money to scam?
That recruiting firm will make their own profit from the hospitals on per head basis of any Dr they recruit for the hospitals , they hv no money business with Doctors directly.

Italy graduated final year medical students without any exams, the UK called out all their retired Doctors to come out and help, so what exactly is ordinary visa that can't be waved to recruit competent hands?
Those Doctors and even more will still move out, Nigerian immigration is just playing to the galary for am sure they knew about the arrangement from the outset , how can you not value Doctors and still try to hold them down, it doesn't happen that way.
By d way, 58 is even a small number, you can't believe that 85% of the Doctors you see in Nigeria are writhing one foreign exam or the other.

The 500 pounds they paid was for the flight which was heavily subsidized by the way. You probably do not know how much it costs to charter an international flight, if you did, you'd understand that ￡500 per passenger is cheap for a charter flight that ran empty.

It is known that UK visa is not granted on arrival for Nigerian passport holders on a good day but these aren't good days as we are battling this serious health emergency worldwide. So, Never Say Never.
