I tried using that breast pump and I was able to extract some amount of milk which he took after having his bath and he slept off.

My notice:
When I was using the pump, my n*ipple came out oooo which I was happy but when I finished extraction , it went in a bit.

My question:
When will the n*ipple come out so well that my lo can be ale to grab?

Someone here once said that if u use a manual pump, it will pull out your nipp.les.
You can try that and lets know if it works

I just got a manual breast pump . I pray it works.

Is the nips out a little or totally inverted?
If it's the normal nips but not just out, with time and enough sucking from your lo it should come out.
Make sure you support him otherwise your arms so that his mouth and stay on the nips

Today was my antenatal , I was told to do ,scan, guess what my baby weighs 3.8kg. I'm 39 weeks and some days..... Edd is so close. Don't know what to do. Scared of eating sef

Hello everyone! I'm actually a guy following this beautiful thread. Though I have advised my wife to sign up on Nairaland so she can be active here. Well, that's by the way. She's in her 13th week of pregnancy and through out the first trimester, she haven't witnessed any form of morning sickness or whatever! So just yesterday, she started stooling and vomiting. I thought it was as a result of the noodles I prepared coz I added little ginger, sardine fresh pepper and other spice... But she's been stooling and vomiting seriously! Also feels weak. Pls is it advisable to get her lucozade boost or any energy drink so she could regain some strength? I'm seriously disturbed. Pls what can I prepare for her to eat to enable her take her routine drugs? Pls those with similar experience kindly help. Between, I noticed I've been stooling also. Lols

Please sir , let her go to the hospital first. Cos it happened to me also , I was vomiting and purging when I was around 27 ,weeks, it was because of the rice I ,took, it had an effect on ,me, I was rushed to the hospital very early in the morning cos I had vomited and purge like over 9 times before day break. When I got to the hospital , I was given drip cos I had lost ,water, I had no strength , I was weak , then I was given injection to stop the vomiting and purging.

When I had regain my strength I was made to do scan to know how my little baby was doing.

The doctor even said I was lucky to have been brought in the morning , if I had ,waited, I could have a pre term labour. Well thanks to God.

So bottom line is that please take her to the hospital.

See the baby bath Dh finally bought after ignoring the ones I kept showing him anytime we go to the supermart or market. He would tell me I don't like this ,color, or he would say it's too plain.

Well Maybe mine wasn't painful cuz I was already 5cm dilated when I got to the hospital and I avoided the hospital until I was sure I was in labour cuz I was dodging membrane sweep I was already squirming when the doc said VE cuz it's always been described as very painful here so I was tensing up and raising my waist but the doctor made me relax and look away and when he was done I felt foolish for being scared in the first place cuz I didn't feel any pain at all.

I can imagine him trying to Chook his hand in a closed cervix sha, maybe that's what makes it painful, dunno.

Ooooh you ,see, you were 5cm , that means your cervix was opened already , mine was not. That was why it was painful.

I'm not going back until I have strong contractions oooooo. I will bear the pain for now.

Abeg no let fear grip me too for here maybe the doctor wanted to check if you've started dilating. This one @giddyperson said it's not painful, its like you have high threshold for pain. Ordinary menstruation, it's like my waist want to cut off so I receive pain injection sometimes. May God help me o! #supernaturalbirth#

Lol you were introduced to labour 101. Are you sure it wasn't membrane sweep he did for you? Don't get how VE is painful, he's chooking hand inside your vagina which could be awkward, but I don't get where the pain is coming from. I didn't feel pain for any of my VEs, just this freaking out feeling of 'is this man's hand really inside my body right now'. Your next VE just try to relax from your hips down as much as you can, shouldn't be painful.

,We'll, he wanted to check if I was dilating because of the pain I told him I was having but unfortunately I was not and he even said my cervix is still close. So I guess that was what made it painful.

My cappoo @,Naomi14, I finally went to the hospital this afternoon because of the pain I was having since yesterday morning , but guess what I was told to go to the labor ward for the doctor to examine me.

When I entered the labor ,ward, come and see different kind of shouting and screaming , people that they were telling to push...... Chaiiii , na so fear grip me oooo.

Finally the doctor called me inside and said he will check me to know what's happening , na so the man use his two fingers oooooooo , come and see as I screammmmmmmmmmmmmmm ehn That thing is painful , as in painful.

He said I should come back when I see mucus plug or blood show or when my water breaks.

Mothers are trying.
