Rolls-Royce, a BMW subsidiary recently unveiled its Vision Next 100 concept as part of the BMW Vision Next 100 that was held in Munich last March.

Built with the physical appearance of a super land yatch, is a nearly 20 feet long just as the Rolls-Royce Phantom, the Vision Next 100 is just anything you would ever imagine when it comes to a concept car.

The car even though it would never make it to production in its current form, features the same dimensions as the modern Phantom Extended Wheelbase, a sofa enveloped in silk combined with Macassar wood trim and deep-pile ivory wool carpet.


According to Rolls-Royce’s director of design – Giles Taylor, in a statement about the car he said, “With the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100, we were mindful not to dwell on the past, we wanted to be as innovative as possible and at the same time transcend the design history of the marque.”

The Vision Next 100 is said to be powered by a zero-emissions powertrain placed on an advanced suspension and a “Crystal Water” lower surface exterior encasing that is made to make it look like it is floating.

According to Bloomberg, the car starts to glow from the grille to the wheels as you pull up, and the top glass canopy lifts automatically to allow you to fully stand up before the coach door sweeps open and you alight. A red light also shines from underneath the car to provide a red-carpet feel as you step outside. Now that’s magnificent!

Of course, there is no steering wheel as the car is fully controlled and all interactions handled by a personal digital assistant named “Eleanor”. “She brings the car around when her passengers are ready to travel and, whilst conveying her charges to their next destination, helpfully but discreetly makes suggestions and recommendations, briefing them ahead of their arrival so they are ready to perform,” said Rolls.

According to Rolls, Every Rolls-Royce will be a “unique, bespoke masterpiece” that elicits an emotional attachment between car and owner. This means that the future buyers can design the interior to their own taste.

No one has ever bought a Royce to stay incognito, it is a car that speak with a charisma of its own. Once you see the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament and the Pantheon grille, behold it is nothing but the Rolls-Royce.
