TravelRe: Is This The Beginining Of The End For Uk Illegal Immigrants? by Fumi(f): 1:09pm On May 22, 2006
Hello,

as some people have mentioned, the beginning was the bomb-terror. 9/11 so to say.
From this moment most european Countries increased controlls of Foreigners and so on.
Here in Germany we even introduced a new passport with fingerprints, pictures and more. Not many people like it, but we dont have a choice.
But the borders to Britain have become higher since years.

I know one Nigerian, who travelled illegaly to Britain and stayed 5 years before they caught him. It was very easy to travel to GB by Bus.
Now coming to GB is a huge Problem.
More strict Passportcontrols, infra-red-controls of Trucks and Busses, everything is done.

The Borders become higher and the Racism aswell. Here in Germany we can feel it already.

The only Solution in my Eyes is (if they stick on sharp border-controls): more green-cards for Foreigners. This is just one world and everybody should be allowed to live anywhere. I know some people, who stayed illegaly in Europe just for Money´s sake. And i understand them. Its no fun at all.

But i understand the controls at times, because no country needs the Friends of Bin-Laden etc,

EventsWould you attend a Party, knowing they only serve Cake there? by Fumi(op): 12:48pm On Apr 15, 2006
Hello,

yesterday me and my Husband went for a Birthday-Party of one of my Friends here.
We arrived in her house around 3 pm and started eating some Cake and having Tea.
As we are living in Germany, its quite normal, that people invite you for Birthday and ONLY serve CAKE! No other FOOD!!
So usually you eat cake, talk and go home after one or two hours.
There are also Parties, where you can get Cake and every kind of other Food aswell, but those are rare. After returning from the Party, my Husband was quite angry of not getting any Food there (except Cake).

So what do you People think about it?

Would you attend a Party, knowing they only serve Cake there?
Would you stay home instead or go there?

Greetings

FoodRe: If Your Boyfriend Can Cook Better Than You by Fumi(f): 12:54am On Feb 04, 2006
Hello,

thats a nice forum here about cooking ;-)

In my own case, my husband cooks better than i do. But we love to cook together, so both of us can learn. For example: i love cooking asian/italian food. My husband loves cooking nigerian food. So i learn aswell how to cook nigerian food, because i find it at times difficult! But i love nigerian food anyway, cant help it.

TravelRe: Tourism Can Bring Serious Income to Nigeria by Fumi(f): 11:48pm On Dec 27, 2005
Hello,

im living in Germany and i have been to Nigeria twice (only :-( ). I think if there would be some better offers for Tourists, they will surely come. Look at Kenya, South Africa, Egypt. Everybody is travelling there. But Nigeria??

If you go to a Travelling agency and you want to book holidays in NIgeria, they will stare at you. Yes you can book the flight, but no way to book a hotel.
you can only book hotel by yourself via Internet. But if you dont know anything about NIgeria or maybe you want to go to the country-side, you cant find a proper Hotel. This scares Tourists away. I dont know any German, that would love to travel to Nigeria without having a booked hotel and a bit of comfort. If this one would be possible, you could have a lot of Tourists.

RomanceRe: Ladies Advice This Guy: To Hold or Not to Hold? by Fumi(f): 11:34pm On Dec 22, 2005
Hi,

my advise: leave this girl! She is just using you. I think if you stay with her, she will break your heart soon. What if Mr. USA is asking her for marriage? She will dump you and go to USA, believe me...

FamilyRe: How to tackle husband's affair by Fumi(f): 5:46pm On Dec 16, 2005
Hello,

im very sorry for your situation. But one thing i need to ask is: ARE YOU REALLY SURE HE IS CHEATING ON YOU? Maybe he bought the underwear for you? Some guys are not good in checking the right size at all! My ex-boyfriend never bought the right size of clothes for me...or maybe just once in 5 years LOL grin - he always missed it...

If you are 100 % sure, he is cheating on you, confront him! But make sure, that you have a place to go to, if the situation is getting out of hand. My ex was trying to beat me, because if found out, he was cheating on me for a long time. BUT try to keep the kids out of this.
Seeing, how parents quarrel or fight, could be horrible for them.
And if you fill for divorce, you need 1.) a good lawyer and 2.) support of your family and friends. Without support it will be hard for you.

I dont want to recommend divorce for you, but if you have the feeling, that you cant bear it anymore - leave him!
I think its better for kids to have a happy mother than parents who quarrel all the time.

Take care

RomanceRe: Man or Woman, Who Should Pay on a Restaurant Date? by Fumi(f): 1:36am On Dec 15, 2005
Hi,

i want to give you a little example of what im seeing here in Germany.

If a Man invites a Lady for Dinner - he pays. But only at the first date. Later both can pay.

If a Woman tells you (at your first date), that she is paying her own food herself - you never see her again grin

RomanceRe: Wife Material But Can't Speak Good English by Fumi(f): 12:55am On Dec 04, 2005
Hi,

in my opinion its important to speak a second language today. I speak German aswell as very little Yoruba (im still learning wink ) But i mastered Englisch very well in school. If you are travelling today or if you are beyond higher class people and you don't speak any other language, they will never really respect you. And to see, that someone is not respecting your partner because of that, how will you feel also?!

My husband is speaking Yoruba, Swedish and German. Not perfect though, but he is also learning everyday. And if you want to associate with people from different countries (on holidays etc.), you must learn English/French or Spanish. If not, you are lost.

I would recommend for this lady to learn vocabulary first. Practice speaking with her every day. Watch englisch-speaking Television like CNN and so on.. Make her read englisch Novells. That should do for the beginning. But She must be willing to learn also. If she´s not, no way.

HealthRe: Abortion: A Right Or a Crime? by Fumi(f): 1:18am On Dec 02, 2005
Here comes MY personal opinion:

When i got pregnant, it was never planned and not fitting into my life at all. I had a well payed-job, loads of bills to pay etc. and my husband had no job at this time. When i went to my doctor, to find out, if i was pregnant or not, i thought of abortion.
BUT when i saw the heartbeat of my little Angel on the screen, i couldnt! And im happy for having her!!

BUT i also have a close friend, that was raped by her ex. She got pregnant and she aborted it, because her mental state didnt allow her to keep the baby. She was so much under shock and had deep depressions - she could have never cared for the baby. And even today, almost 6 years later, she is still having psychatric help.

I could never abort, but - under special circumstances like rape, severe illness of mother or/and baby - i would understand it.

Hello,

nice topic your having here.
I just want to share my experiences over here.
Im living in Germany actually and most Africans (no matter, where they come from), pretent to be from America. I dont know why, maybe it sounds more cool? None of those people would ever admit coming from Africa at all, even if you question them for hours.
I personally think, everybody should be proud of his/her origins

LiteratureRe: Does Harry Potter Encourage Witchcraft? by Fumi(f): 12:31am On Nov 23, 2005
Hello..

i read all HP-Books and i loved them. The movies...well...not bad i would say.

I think, Books as HP should be read from kids only at an older age, maybe from 10-12 years on. At this age most kids by the way have seen more horrible things than told in the novels. And at this age the understand, what reality is all about!

When i was 12 y., we had criminals and drug-dealers at school, Parents beating each other, Tschernobyl in TV and so on. Just watch the evening-news. They are more brutal than any book.

I believe, that if you have good parents, who educate you well about everything in life (religion/health/history etc.), than there should be no big harm from a book.

Did anyone here ever try Stephen King? Did you folks become killers later because of that?

Hi,

we are talking about blind people here.

But what about others with physical problems?

For example deaf People, People in wheelchair.

Would anyone marry a person under such circumstances?

Ive met several people in my life, that are deaf and i almost fell in love with a deaf guy! He was nice and caring - only that he had a girl already (im not kidding!)
I even know a deaf teacher of Gallaudet University (USA), its a school only for deaf people..

So i cant expect your answers..
