No court will even grant that order once his death has been publicly announced. Such judge can be sanctioned. Some things are very clear in the constitution and cannot be altered.

I mean we all saw what Yar'adua's wife and family did, trying to hold on to power even after the late President's demise.

What I observed is that the Chief Judge of Ondo State seems not to be on the same page with Aketi and his wife during the whole power tussle, maybe cos he wanted the right thing to be done.

That still doesn't matter....so far there's death involved. No matter what the immediate Aketi family might have done he should still have honoured his boss. That display of funfair was nothing short of insensitive. I'm not even sure he declared all flags to be in half-mast in his honour. If not that'll be too bad of him; he has played himself!

It's expected for Igbos around corridors of power in Ondo State when the late Governor was alive to react and attack the new Governor.. If they had their way, they'll ask the Chief Judge of Ondo State to swear-in Mrs. Betty but the matter pass their power.

The new Governor celebrated a new milestone in his journey, becoming Governor of your State just like that is a thing of joy and calls for jubilation.. If he performs well, he can win ticket to contest in the next Governorship election under APC.

You should also consider the circumstances surrounding his ascension to power. The whole activity should hv been solemn in honour of the dead.

It should have been a solemn and private affair involving just him, the judge and some few journalists. It was a display of lack of emotional intelligence on the part of the new governor and the other officials involved in the swearing-in. This will definitely go far.

Such occasion should have been very private and solemn in light of the mood of the moment. Just a few cameramen and the Chief Judge....most of our politicians lack emotional intelligence.

The prodigal son had a wealthy background and he misbehaved. These ones have a poor background, they got opportunity to escape poverty and they squandered it.
