wealthprod: i believe this is a topic we nigeria must treat seriously or else the bank are going to be taking us for a ride. imagine Cbn selling dollar to the bank at the rate of 199 per dollar while bank in return will charge us at the rate of 301 or 300 per dollar when using your debit card to make transaction online
Nigeria let wake up and take this topic seriously because bank are not BDC but institution and they keep milking us this way The best solution to this is to cry out and let the Cbn know what is happening so that the bank can be sanction for this @ Op. Are you just waking up now? There are many exploitation going on in this country. From PHCN ( Estimated bill, non removal of fixed charge they told us on radio etc) to BANK ( exorbitant Bank charges, sms charges, Bank exchange rate, new - Stamp charge ), From Government Recruitment exercise (Selling of 30 million forms and employing 100 persons), To Aviation ( If you are 40 minutes late before flight time, you have to pay to reschedule your flight but if your flight is delayed, you are not been compensated) . I can go on and on. The list is endless. Anyway, welcome to Zoo |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: My Experience Today As An Applicant. by Futureleader201(m): 10:01am On Oct 27, 2015 |
Sashafm: Being recently churned out by NYSC, on October 15th of this month. I have always heard about how precarious it was to get a job in this country without connections, but I did not actually know the gravity of it until now. Armed with my 2.1 certificate from OAU (The best University ) and my NYSC discharged certificate I thought now I have arrived to become gainfully employed.
I left Lagos for Abuja just 2 days after my POP, alas, after sending out countless applications and applying for any job that fits my criteria, I have not even been called for a single interview!!!.
I was swayed after a week and thought to myself, if I wouldn't be called for interviews I would go in search of the companies my self and make an appearance. I was Wrong . I am not really conversant with Abuja very well, but i was determined to go in search of a job physically instead of gazing at my laptop all day long. I dressed in my best, looked very corporate even wore my corporate court shoes that i painfully bought from my alawee in the hope that when I get called for interview by Standard chartered bank or PWC , I would launch it. Anybody that met me on the way would think I am a business executive,on my way to seal a contract deal.
Started the long journey to town as I stay close to the airport. on getting there I started from Wuse zone 3, as I had earlier sourced from the internet the addresses of companies that had posted vacancies in Abuja. My plan was to go and submit my CV in person .Unfortunately for me I was even unable to locate the offices as, the Address given on the internet did not even correspond. mogbe moment was activated as I was lost, broke and on heels with no direction. I was being turned back at most of the offices, that was when I realized the gravity of being an unemployed person. At a point removed my shoes and changed to my sanders as i had packed them in my bag. Dejected and sad, I turned back home. And here I am at home again. Glued to my laptop and scanning for job again. It is indeed pathetic. . Welcome to Nigeria - Zoo |
Politics › Problem Of The Southerner In Nigerian by Futureleader201(op): 11:30am On Oct 19, 2015 |
I have often times wondered why we from the south have always remained politically inferior to our northern politician counterparts. I have just discovered that the reasons are not far fetched. The following are some of the immediate reasons:-
1. A typical Southerner is too attached to benefits that accrue directly to himself. This is why the Northerner will take what belongs to you and use it to buy your conscience to work against your brothers. Take Amaechi for example.
2. We lack a collective political ego that we can use to intimidate other regions. Instead we relish when we oppress our own just to settle personal differences. Do you think you will find anybody in the north who will play the same role Amaechi did in the south against GEJ who is from the same region with him? NOT POSSIBLE! No matter what personal differences they might have had.
3. Our attention is too focused on the wealth in the south so much that we have lost sight of the vultures from the north who come to control our wealth through political manoeuvres.
4. We have become too educated and civilized for our own political good. When all that drove the northerners to the polls was one agenda to get their own in power, we on the other hand are busy exploiting the frontiers of ideals to serve as parameters to get our own out. What is worse is that they applaud you for reasoning this way while they go back with a mischievous grin and call you fools "Arne" . Agreed that in all honesty that you voted Buhari because you honestly believed he was a better man for the job. If at anytime it becomes obvious that he was a wrong choice for the job do you think the north will sail the waters of ideals to analyse and criticize their own? That is the time you will know that you are mumu.
5. Most importantly we lack unity. We spend all our efforts dividing ourselves down to infinidecimal components informed by our ethnic differences. The north has different tribes too But they have been able to move beyond that through Islam. We in south have Christianity but in the light of our separatist tendencies have chosen to have different churches with different names to align with our differences.
The truth is bitter but we in South have to wake up.... The early the better. |

Crime › Re: How My Laptop And Phone Were Stolen In My Apartment Today by Futureleader201(m): 10:21pm On Jul 24, 2015 |
whizqueen: Hi everyone,
I left my house around past 11am to get some stuffs at a distance from my house. I spent about an hour outdoor, only for me to return and find my laptop missing. I asked my little sister whom I left alone at home who came around and she said 'a lady' with some descriptions came around to ask for my mom saying she wanted to give her some money and my sister said she was not at home. The 'lady' came inside, sat down and counted some money and handed it over to my sister to give to my mom. The little girl kept the money somewhere in the sitting room and the woman said she should take it inside to avoid it been stolen, my sister went inside my mom's room to keep the money. While she was away the lady with the intention to steal sighted my laptop on the couch where I kept it and my other phone, she picked both and kept them in her bag. When my sister returned, she asked my sister to go and get the money back that she would come back in the evening when mumsy is back and my sister did. She left the house with my phone and laptop without my sister's knowledge.
After listening to the narration from my sister, I called my phone and it was answered by an unknown person she kept mute while I was talking. I called back severally and it wasn't answered. After about 30 minutes, I got a call from the police station(on the number I called with earlier) saying a laptop and phone was recovered from an unknown thief that I should report at the police station ASAP.
When I got there, I met one woman whose house was also robbed by the lady. She was caught and beaten severely by the neighbors and outsiders. The house owner (woman) claimed N30,000 was stolen which wasn't found on the thief but rather my phone and laptop, the main reason she was brought to the police station was because of the money that wasn't found on her not because of my property but I was lucky that my items have not been sold out by the thief. I was able to get my laptop today after the necessary procedures and was asked to come back on Monday for my phone.
My reason for bringing this story here is that, I want to advice everyone ''talk to you little ones at home be it sister, brother, children, etc. Especially now that they are all on long holiday that they should never allow any one inside the house if an elderly person isn't around, the thief might ask of mom or dad or big sister or anyone just tell your kids to tell them at the doorstep 'mom isn't around come back later' they shouldn't be welcomed inside the home not even for one second. I was only lucky to recover my item that was stolen'
The lady even confessed that sometimes she checks NEPA bills that is hung in the house to know a name to mention. Imagine that. Please be guided and caution your kids.
May God not make our things be that of a thief. Bye U were able to recover ur stolen items because the money U used in buying them are hard earn money. Next time be careful! |

Princewill1: If Biafra secede, yorubers will be the biggest loser.
It is not only just about the Oil,yorubers want Igbos to remain in Nigeria with them to help neutralize or minimize the influence of hausa-fulani in yorubaland.
If Biafra secede;
1.Hausa-fulani will rule Nigeria forever and ever, votes from northwest, northeast and Niger state will deliver them anytime anyday.
2.Islamization of Nigeria will then become easy, within few years;yoruber christains will no longer exist.
3.Hausa-fulani may wake up one morning and decide to chase out Oba of Lagos out of lagos and install an Emir in lagos and nothing will happen. Etc
So apart from the lack of the oil money,to an average yoruba man,Biafra means eternal slavery to the north. That's why they are more worried than any other tribe. please tell them. When Yoruba people hear about biafra, they always develop high blood pressure. Your boyfriend/girlfriend said he/she doesn't want you and U R still forcing urslf to the person. Ist by force to be together? Ndi ara |
