Pls, this self upload, would an applicant have to self upload at the centre or can they self upload at home? If yes, must it be before or after the Biometrics appointment or it does not matter? I am asking cos I want the applicant to scan and send their documents to me while I add mine as the sponsor and upload all once.

Yeah you can upload your documents at the comfort of your bedroom and it should be before your biometric appointment.. there will be a print out of the documents you uploaded, you are to take it with you during ur appointment..

The chargeable service there is because of the assisted service you chosed, which you are to pay 11,700 naira.... It has nothing to do with availability of dates.hope it help?

You should have chosen self service so that you will upload your documents by yourself free of charge..
Assisted service you will have to pay #11700 and go with ur documents they will do the upload for you.

My friend who went last year, change Naira to pounds with someone in the UK. He got good rates too..

You can request for another 28days statement from your bank.
Let's say from 01may to 28may bank statement is what you used in obtaining your CAS from your school and your CAS was issued to you on 5june, go back to your bank and request for another 28days statement pending when you choose to apply for your visa.. if you chose to apply on 6june, your 28days should start counting from 9may to 5june if I'm not mistaking

It's more than a month since my visa got refused though I applied for administrative review & it wasn't successful..please how long does it takes ukvi to refund my IHS Will they notify me by mail while refunding it coz I used someone's account when making the payment

When is your course start date? It's true that CBN is the one paying Tuition fees..hope the invoice you submitted tallies with the tuition fee approved by Tetfund? My colleague too is experiencing same thing though his course start date is in March. Try talking to the Tetfund desk officer of your school, he can fast track it for you.i gave my invoice November and my Tuition was paid 6/12/2020. my school specified out on my CAS that my tuition was paid on the 6th.you can still ask your school whether your tuition is paid.. hope dis helps

I would like to get an information from you because I also applied banking on TETFund's sponsorship. They have not paid my tuition fees but my employer has paid my maintenance since. Even though I have submitted the invoice, I was told it is on CBN's table at the moment.

Please, how long did it take TETfund to pay the tuition fee after you submitted your invoice and is there any insider channel/link in TETFund you can assist me with to accelerate the process?

Secondly, how can I get an evidence of payment from TETFund?

I got the scholarship through due process.... Nothing like man know man... Normally to qualify for Tetfund scholarship you need to apply through your VC and after gotten approval from the VC(your employer)..He will now nominate you to Tetfund for the sponsorship...the whole processes it's btw your employer and Tetfund..

The award letter is issued by my employer not directly from Tetfund...but you might be right sha, they might have contacted Tetfund and no reply was made..but why only me?? My colleagues got there visas despite making used of the same award letter
It is also stated in the refusal letter that despite numerous attempt to verify the bank statement the result return back inconclusive due to been unable to contact office of the registrar federal uni lafia..
Also among the conditions of the award is that Tetfund will pay the tuition amount directly to my school (in uk) which they did already and the maintenance fee will be transferred to my employer who will remit same to me...D delayed I got was from my employer.

Hope you are convinced about the genuineness of the award?

That is the mistake you are making, your registrar is not the awarding body of TETFund, the embassy has no business contacting your registrar, they have an established channel for TETFund verification an from your AR it shows that the ECM was unable to verify this particular scholarship.

This was why i asked you before if you got the scholarship through man-know-man.

Exactly my thought and atimes that how God wants it to be.. smiles

UK is very tick box exercise and for cases that is outside the box then it based on who you see ..... it might be ok for one Visa officer and not ok for another

Yesterday a friend went to open a bank account with the letter from the school , the Bank officer rejected that letter despite many talk. Today the person went back to the exact same branch but saw a different bank officer. Today's bank officer didnt even say a word and accepted the same document that was rejected yesterday. Within 5 mins the account was opened

Yes dear..I have more than enough to cover for the maintenance fees..the notion that a friend gave me before the application was that the award letter can served as bank statement and I was running out of time that why I agreed. It was 3days before my course start date that my account got credited by my employer. while anticipating the outcome of the visa, I came across this educative forum.you guys are doing a wonderful job here..I have deferred my course till September..

Your application has been refused as the Entry Clearance Officer was not satisfied that your documents show that you have met the maintenance requirements under Paragraph 245ZV(c) and Appendix C of the Immigration Rules.

You state within your administrative review that you noticed a delay in receiving your decision and presumed that UKVI were verifying your award letter and so informed the registrar to expect a call or email from UKVI. You advise that the email address confirmed on the award letter is correct and consistently active, however, no contact was made regarding your application. You submit that you are aware of other applications made using the same award letter have been granted with no contact made to verify. You claim that your employer has now paid the awarded funds in to your bank account and provide your bank details for this to be verified. You argue that you have met the requirements of the Immigration Rules and guidance for this route and confirm that you intend to return to Nigeria following completion of the course.

Careful consideration has been given to the points raised above, however, the Home Office attempts to verify documents through established specific points of contacts in organisations, such as nominated officers in order to reduce any risks to our applicants and staff. Attempts were made to verify your document through an established point of contact and were returned inconclusive. Unfortunately, given that there are established points of contact, I am unable to discuss the verification of documents with the director you have provided details for in your review grounds. Further to this, due to data protection guidelines I am unable to discuss any other applications with you. On review of the dates stated in your administrative review, it is clear that if the funds have been transferred in to your account, they would not meet the requirements of the Immigration Rules due to not being held for the 28-day period required. Moreover, you did not provide a bank statement with your application and therefore, the ECO was unable to consider whether you held the funds, at administrative review I am only able to accept new evidence that was not available to the ECO if it meets certain requirements set out in Appendix AR. Therefore, I have not verified the claims made regarding bank statements. As discussed above, the requirements of the Immigration Rules have not been met and your claims of returning to Nigeria following the course are acknowledged, but do not change the decision.

Based on the above, I have upheld the ECO decision to refuse your application, in line with Paragraph 245ZV(c) and Appendix C.

Yes sir.. the scholarship is super genuine,I work with federal university and also my colleagues were granted visa despite making used of the same award letter.. No contact was made to the registrar

I have been refused a student visa with the reason that the result to contact my employer return back inconclusive.. went for admin review but it wasn't successful.
I presented a Tetfund award letter instead of bank statement and the ECO wasn't satisfied if I'm in possession of the said amount on the offer... please find attached for more details of the refusal...

My question goes this way: should I avoid using the award letter when next I am applying?? @justwise @lagosismahome

My dear ever since I noticed a delayed on the decision of my application, I know a verification check is ongoing. I informed the registrar personally to expect a mail or call from ukvi home office regarding my visa application. We have been checking that mail almost everyday but nothing of such came tru. I wonder how they do this verification stuff, atleast informing the applicant would have solved all this shit. What the essence of been sponsored? If they no longer regards or recognise sponsorship letter, they should have just said so rather than wasting people's time and resources.

I have contacted my school also and I have sent them a complain email, the refusal letter, admin review, award letter... Including my bank statement dor I didnt included the bank statement during visa application..
I'm just fed up with this immigration stuff aswear

When is your latest arrival date? I wonder if schools can help escalate the process cos I see no reason why it should take so long.

I did the appeal on Friday last week.. still waiting to hear from them but to no avail... I thought the admin review fee is £80 but after applying it's says no payment required

I had the same issue and I went for administrative review already...my colleague whom also applied with the same award letter is already in uk.. Can you imagine his school even gave him CAS without making any payment while my full tuition fees of £15800 was paid by Tetfund and I still got refused..
All this is coming from Sheffield Home office
Why should I pay 15800pound as tuition fee if I don't have the maintenance fees of £9135 it doesn't add up na. Beside the required amount to obtain CAS is £4000..
I just pray the decision is for the best..God. Has his way of doing things
