aswani: That's because he lost the polling booth in front of his house all the time never kind his state abd region.
Yorùbá's have never truly forgiven him for "betraying Awolowo and handing over to Shagari" (which is a nonsense in itself) so it is not surprising that he wouldn't do anything in Abeokuta, Ogun State or Yorubaland even. What about Jonathan in Bayelsa or Buhari in Katsina? Any impacts? |

Roboto11: That's not the issue.
It is about identity.
You would celebrate and act like it was your family member that won the vote if Chi or Ike was in his name.
Listen to the man and stop making the same mistake year after year. Obasanjo's 8 years did nothing for the people of Ogun State, neither did Buhari's 8 years make any single impact on the lives of Katsina indigenes. Stop playing the ostrich. Presidency has never helped anybody. The North has forever been in power since 1960... How much has it impacted on the lives of Northerners? |

Kemadealadire: So, I know an Igbo couple, both of them are Igbo, I can't remember now if they are from the same state, this isn't even a case of inter-tribe oh, they lived in Lagos until the man retired. He and his wife relocated back to the east, then he died shortly, hmmn, don't let me say what the woman was made to pass through. Now, the daughter who is Igbo married to a Yoruba person was the one narrating this and lamenting.
Like I always say we can have isolated cases but when there are a lot of similar cases and you can spot a trend, haba.
You should probably create a thread on this but the issue is people won't be truthful and will turn it into a my tribe is better than yours, not the facts we want to hear and establish. Not ruling out the fact that stuff like that might happen but I haven't seen it yet... And I'm old enough to be your father. |
Politics › Re: Marrying Yoruba Woman Gave Me Political Advantage — Idimogu by fx45(m): 8:13pm On Sep 16, 2023 |
Kemadealadire: I also have Igbos in my family too, I mean via marriage, neighbours, family friends etc. I don't speak on hearsays. You know how women of the same tribe have a hard time when the husband dies, not to talk of how a woman who is considered an outsider is treated, this isn't Nollywood and besides Nollywood portrays what happens in real life with a touch of make believe or either way, I am not a fan though. I have a Yoruba friend. He later told me the first day he passed the night in my house he couldn't sleep. He thought I was coming to his room to kill him(In Lagos ooo.. not even in Igboland). He said they were told Igbos kill people and eat. Now imagine what your people are teaching their children in the 21st century. Thank God it doesn't cut across. There are also several exposed and liberal Yorubas without such parochial dispositions. Back to those 'traditions' you're talking about, I repeat again, they only exist in Nollywood. By the way one of my siblings is married to a Yoruba woman. You need to update some of those your opinions though. |

Kemadealadire: Nollywood Are you joking. We both know the truth, just say you as an individual aren't keen on ...,you are even male. Do your findings about those esp. in Yoruba dominated areas or other parts of the world that isn't the southeast. Stereotypes and misinformation has done a lot of damage especially to the Yoruba people. I have Yoruba in my immediate family. You know nothing |
Politics › Re: Marrying Yoruba Woman Gave Me Political Advantage — Idimogu by fx45(m): 7:35pm On Sep 16, 2023 |
Kemadealadire: That bolded part isn't true, infact reverse is the case. I don't see people or situations through the lens of tribe but I have to disclaim that. Yoruba women refuse to because of you guys plenty traditions no matter how christianly, your traditions must be enforced, how the women are treated in event of the spouse death etc. That's why you have more Igbo women marrying Yoruba men because it's safer. Igbos aren't really big on marrying Yoruba women, so attempts aren't even made. Just a few do. It has nothing to do with the non-existent 'traditions' you see on Nollywood. Even food preferences are more of deciding factors. Most Igbo men wouldn't agree to live on Yoruba cuisine and it's difficult to find Yoruba women that can prepare Igbo dishes |

flokii: Voting someone like Idimogu to post of say President will be your biggest regret.. It's the that are born and bred or have stayed long in Yorubaland that hate Yorubas more. Forget all these their pretence.. Maybe it's the many accomplishments of Yorubas they are seeing daily that is causing it, I do not know.
But know this for free that the Igbo living in your midst is far more dangerous than the ones in faraway Igboland. You people don't know anything as regards Igbos. You don kolo finally... Lols What about Joe Igbokwe? Would you consider voting for him if he comes out for an electoral position? |

But it’s better for you to be told about your behavior because the wrong people will get violent with you as we’ve seen in the past The fact remains that when shit hits the fan, every Igbo would come out and fight. Idiots like you cannot fight. For your information, this is not 1966-70. Don't pray for a repeat. It would never play out the way it played out in the 60s. You're warned and advised accordingly |

Atiku is looking for birth certificate, WAEC, etc. CSU won't release that because they are not the institution that made them. It is not their document.
CSU will release CSU degree certificate, Admission letter and Transcript Like I said earlier, you're trying too hard. CSU will be subpoenaed to produce documents used by the criminal druggie to gain admission into the institution. |

Naija2023: Judge Gilbert has nothing to rule on. The Job of Judge Gilbert is to ask for the release of documents with CSU. That is all.
Judge Gilbert is not making any ruling beyond that .
If Judge Gilbert say release the documents you have , they will release it. And it will confirm he attended the school. period.
The school document might be the different from what BAT submitted, but it will not still mean forgery at the Supreme Court in Nigeria. It will just mean wrong document. Sir, that is the exact reason why the matter is in court. We want to sight certain documents from the CSU. Yo Gerrit? |

That is not a case of forged Certificate. A certificate is forged when you didn't attend a school and you claim you did. But presenting non official documents as evidence you attended a school that you actually attended is not forgery but clerical error that can be corrected. You're trying too hard my dear Agbadorian. teeytimi: A lot of Nigerians don't know anything about data protection in advance countries. The institution has no right to disclose Tinubu academic record without his consent or a court order. That is exactly the reason why the matter is in court... To compel CSU to produce the required documents. |
