Oohrhii: That is not right to say. Forex trading is entirely diffrent from Gambling. In trading you have tools to guide you into making your decision while in gambling there is nothing to ride on except luck.

People do make money in forex,and it doesn't have to be a intermediary. Trading is not actually that hard... its the self discovery aspect of it. you get to make the decisions yourself and take the praise or blame yourself.That is the hard part..Self dicipline..is hard to achieve, especially when you are not under any obligation to follow a specific rule. We all tend to bend whatever we can so as to be convinient for the moment...Maybe thats why some retired force members tend to survive in the financial market.

Another reason why most traders lose..(not only in nigeria) is because they want to trade everyday. To survive in the financial market..a trader needs to understand when the market is willing to give and when its willing to take. You dont have to trade everyday.. but most traders get emotional with the market..they feel it belongs to them and want to catch every trend and every movement, but this is not so.The market has been trending long before you start trading..and would still trend after you have stoped. the thing they dont understand is..there is always going to be another tend. You cannot wish the market into movement..

When the market is restng..(consolidation) a trader should learn to take the day, week or month off..depending on the pattern he is trading.

Ferdinandu: The obvious thing is that people think that forex is place where you just buy laptop and start minting off dollars but it is like any other business.you are likely to see 10 losers in any business before you see 1 successful one.Do you know how many people are trying everyday to get successful in social networking site like yours everyday but they couldn't .I'm sure they will be telling people that to make money in social networking is almost impossible but you will be smiling if somebody is telling you that.There 3 types of losers in Forex
1 people who lose and run away and start telling people that there is no money to be made in forex.the market will always go against you.They are everywhere,
2 People who lose all their money but still believe that they can pull through if only they can get more money to invest thinking that they have realised their mistakes,so they start raising funds from friends and family to invest again .They will still loose because they have not really mastered forex.
3 people who loose their money m and turn to forex training to recover their money telling people that they are forex professors,they will tell you how to double your money every month but the obvious thing is that they are just learners .
All these people are the ones you will find everywhere making noise up and down and confusing people.
The real winners in forex don't really talk about their trades,they make their money quietly it is only those that are close to them that knows that they really make money in forex.they hardly reveal their trading strategy.

I would seriously advice you to hold of on GBPUSD for now until a confirmed reversal pattern exhibits itself which it has not shown yet. I do agree with you that it will fall, but to at least 15039, it is not ripe yet. I hope to God it gets to at least 15800 region. This only means it's got 800 pips to fall. . .that's 8k easy money, guaranteed. On EURCAD. . .that pattern is a bullish flag and it is dipping before skyrocketing to whatever price. I may be wrong though. I would focus more on EURUSD which is in rally mode right now and once that trendline on the 4hr breaks, will start a downtrend which will end at 12825.

murphy02: my brother that is forex for you, you will get thr sumday but my candid advice is that you should forget indicators and concentrate on support and resistance level, and Fibonacci usage .

@kcc515 don't fund the acct. with new cash, close the current position if u think you are on wrong direction don't assume it will come back. if u fund your account with 1m today without all this taking seriously into consideration but relying on systems trust me the account will crash within short period of time. don't get it wrong i don't say using of system is that bad but knowing this s/r fib level join the sky is d limit.

start again with the $20 left by using 0.01 lot and start practising all what u stated towards end of your post.

honestly, if u can perfecting with S/r, fib as stated by murphy, u will just find out that the 20 doll remaing in ur account turns to 200 doll in no time.
