Hi sir, i trip for you ooooo, i am so so happy with those stations u got ooo, well na so so french station i get with my 90cm dish and a smaller one my installer did for me, i dont think those stations are interesting, i wanted english speaking stations with sports, movie news and others but u get them ooo with 1.8M , i am even thinkin of getting 1.8M but i dont know how it could be here in lagos, if i could get like what u get ooo, enjoy ur self with those beautiful stations oo

yes i can see the list of the stations showing those league, but they seems to be ''show'' stations, well maybe i will have to stay glue to my w3A and sirus to see what up, but i could remember my installer told me madagascar tv shows sport, i havent confirmed by seeing it on the station tho, thanks alot for ur prompt respond, long live this thread and pple in it,

wow, that is really funny, i love that, your installer would be very amazed, its really nice to know that u are gettting those lovely stations, but u have only 2.4M dish, how are u gonna be able to track hotbird, when u have one dish or did u have 2 lnbf? let me know, also is hotbird on the same position with Nilesat, so it wont have to involve moving ur dish from the position of Nitesat, if u are gonna be using one dish 2 lnbf.

that is nice ooo, that is the aim of the forum and i love it, i know we have gotten good pple in 9ja, despite the fact that the bad ones are overriding , well how many stations do u have on ur NITESAT, i guess u have showtime too,

Thank you jare, u are da bomb, uhmmm well i no that we the 90cm user are still kid, i am thinking if 1.8m would be a step ahead, regarding getting cnn and some sport stations that stand the chance of showing premier,champions and FA, i guess they are on Nilesat ONLY, what chance does 1.8M dish stands to get those/this station(s) in La-gos, i guess the chance is slim o, abeg enlighten me, and if there is any thing nu i can lay my hands on oooo

the station the installer spent time on was the MBC MOVIE, the signal strenght he was getting was 60,65 and 66, before we now settled for 62% and the mbc movie is not showing well and he said it was due to the signal, well he said there is a blockage, but the tell story build next to us that could be the blockage is more far distance to us, anyway i guess he his right, please advise

well the installer didnt check for the msnbc, he was looking for a station that starts with P on the EUTELSAT, But the strenght signal we got was 65% and the station didnt come on, he said they show more of football, and he wanted to increase the signal strenght to 71% but at the end of the day we have to settle for 60 when we are tired and it was very late, i jus want to learn from him so i would be able to to next installation myself, well i guess most station on EUTELSAT W3 are french speaking station and that makes it boring, also the total stations he got for me are 14, all french except the stv1 and 2, which he got from SIRUS1,2, actually he used 90cm dish and a smaller dish which makes it 2 dish to get those station, i would liketo know if there is a way to make english speaking station, also i guess NILESAT got better station on them, according to him, he said to track NILESAT here in Lagos, one would need 2.4m dish i want to know how mch that would get NILESAT dish, i guess once God anwer my prayer , na to go for the 2.4M dish,

@enitan, these stations MSNBC to GO to MBCs, TV malagasy,you listed here, did you get them with ur 90cm or ur 1.8m? i have just installed my own 90cm which my installer did a lot of hard work on, we started 3pm and finished with little success at 3am today, and the only station that he wasnt successful in installin for me is TV malagasy, becos the signal strenght is 65% and it didnt work, he is on EUTELSAT, W8, and if that is the same with the place u got the MSNBC,GO,MBCS, PLS tell me how to include those ones becos the few stations he got are all french stations, and i dont speak non understand french, let me know how u can also help him get the best signal on each channel,

Hello friends: OK, here we go.
Load BIN:
Download bin 189 (or most current version) from this site & load it on your receiver. Forget about the channel or keys part of it, just load the bin (firmware) using the STB Tool (Loader). Be sure to unzip / extract / open files after download both Loader & Bin. (right click on icon) If you don't do this, you won't find Bin in Loader.
Factory Reset:
Next go to Menu hit OK, go down to System Setting, go over & down to DataBase Reset, hit OK, enter PIN "0000", go down to Factory Set, hit OK, select YES, next select English. (now you have wiped unit clean to start over)
System Settings:
Next go to Menu on receiver, go down to System Setting, go over to Time Setting, hit OK, go down & turn ON Summer Time, Hit Exit 1 time & save it. This will allow the correct time to load for Channel Guide. (if where you live, you don't have daylight savings time, disregard this step).
Options:
Next go back up to Installation, hit right arrow, enter pin code "0000", go down to Options, hit OK, leave all settings as they are, go all the way down to last option, Renumbering local CH, select your City & State for your local channels, save changes & hit Exit 1 time.
LNBs:
Go back up to Dish Setting, set up LNBs to work correctly, depending which LNBs you are using. (I use 2 Legacy Twins w/ SW-21 Switch or I use 1 Legacy Quad w/no switch, it's built in)
Dish Settings 110:
Satellite, 110.0W Echostar 6, 8
LNB Power, ON
LNB Type, Legacy Twin LNB1
LNB Freq, 11.250
22KHz, OFF
DiSEqC Switch, 1.0
Committed, 1
Legacy SW, ON (OFF if you use 4X1 DiSEqC Switch for 2
Dishes / DN & BEV)
* After selecting these settings, you should see 2 full green bars & a window in upper right corner that should appear with (EchoStar 110 West).
Next go back up to Satellite & select 119.0 W Echostar 7.
Dish Settings 119:
Satellite, 119.0W Echostar 7
LNB Power, ON
LNB Type, Legacy Twin LNB2
LNB Freq, 11.250
22KHz, OFF
DiSEqC Switch, 1.0
Committed, 2
Legacy SW, ON (same applies as above)
Verify Shift:
* Again, same as above but this time you should see (EchoStar 119 West).
* If you do not get the corresponding Satellite to appear in upper right corner, it will not get both Sats, so try changing settings until this works.
Now go back & select 110w to check if it switches, then do the same again for 119w. If these Sats shift correctly, proceed to next step. Exit 1 time to leave Dish Setting page.
Autoroll:
Go down to Autoroll Options, hit OK, everything should be ON, (if not change it) save changes & exit.
Auto Scan 110:
Now you are ready to scan the satellites. Go up to Auto Scan, hit OK, select (110.0 W Echostar 6, , now hit OK 1 time to highlight Sat (be sure it is highlighted), go right arrow, then up to Network Search, turn this ON (you will get more channels), now go down to Scan & hit "Press OK" to start scan. (When scan is near complete note number of channels found.)
Auto Scan 119:
Next select 119.0 W Echostar 7, repeat last step above, Network Search should should still be ON, confirm this & begin scan.
* (Tip), to be sure you get both Sats, go back to Dish Setting page & select 119 & check for 119 to appear in upper right corner to verify, prior to beginning this scan. (see: Verify Shift)
Notes:
After last scan is complete, hit exit 3 times (punch out) to return to TV. Sometimes it helps to select a low number channel near 100 to start with, wait 2-3 minutes. Also try this: Open Key Edit page by selecting 8282 with remote, wait 2-3 minutes, it should roll in. If not, try a unit reboot (power OFF, wait 10 seconds, Power ON). Still no TV, the problem will be keys. For this, check for current keys & enter them manually if all else fails.
I have had problems in past because I didn't verify current keys prior to scans. So if it seems not right, just go back & do another Factory Reset & start over again, after your sure about the keys.
It's good practice to repeat this process, you will be able to remember it better if you do it a few times.
Tips:
All info above is assuming you have the correct dish / LNBs / and the dish pointed & locked in correct position / correct switch (if needed). A good signal from a Satellite Meter is recommended. To be able to get both Sats you must have dish skewed to correct angle for your area. We have links for good Satellite Calculators. (This is an exact science, guesswork is for the lottery).

Hope this will help a lot of folks. It might not agree with all, but it works,, not theory. Now get busy & watch free TV, SatelliteJunkie

i want to know if u are still using your 90cm dish, becos i guess by now u ought to have gotten ur 1.8m dish working, for me i am about getting my 2 90cms dishes and i want to know what chance i stand to see or get those stations that shows premier league, and some wonderful tv stations like music and movies, abeg respond to me ooooooo

hello room, i have been following this thread from the first page till now, just not not to be knocked down by the contributors, and i really enjoyed it even tho it took me days to read every time, i am in the aim of getting my own FTA setup which i found the installer on this thread, and he should be coming to Lag next week, but he advised me he would be using (2) 90cm dishes for me, though with space contraint i guess that is the best i could get, but i would want to know what are the stations i would be getting , also are all the FTA station always scrambled most time, also i would really love to be a frequent contributor in the thread, and i hope the old tymers would welcome me ooooooooo
