Every country has its own economic problems. Amalgamation is not the sole problem of Nigeria in terms of economic instability or other economic related problems. I believe the topic wants you to talk about the benefits of 1914 Amalgamation in Nigeria as against the inter-tribal war and disunity we have been experiencing in Nigeria.

According to one of the debaters, A region in Nigeria believes power belongs to them alone. I don't see that coming in a united nation.
