The latest ranking released yesterday by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) governing body, showed that the Super Eagles of Nigeria has climbed three places to occupy the 67th position.

Super Eagles who were rated 70th position as of last July and 17th in Africa is still behind Algeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Egypt who are the top five teams in Africa.

Reacting to an on-going negotiation with other militants group, the NDGJM alleged that the people of the upland Niger Delta, under whose watch the largest and most critical oil assets are located, have been ignored over the years by the federal government.

The street of Onitsha today, were beefed up with Oshanja Market in a protest against the governor of the State, Willie Obiano.

The erstwhile leader of the Islamic extremist group (Boko Haram), Abubakar Shekau has released a new video threatening to fight against all the enemies of Allah, which Nigeria and the whole world is inclusive, according to him.

Shekau who was allegedly replaced recently with the former spokesman of the group, Sheikh Abu Musab al-Barnawi by the leadership of the Islamic State (ISIS), declared that he is still alive by Allah's grace and hence the leader of the group notwithstanding.

BAYELSA - Following an ambush on the Nigeria Soldiers by militants in Nemba area of Bayelsa State, the military have reportedly engaged the militants in a heavy gun battle.

Niger Delta Justice Defence Group (NDJDG) has attacked oil pipelines in Bera, Gokana local government area of the Rivers state on early hours of August 4, Thursday. The group revealed about this in a statement made available to NAIJ.com.

The militants said that this is in continuation of their warning to the government of Muhammadu Buhari to immediately look into their demand and attend to them.
