Dear VO, Thank you for the clarification! My mom is now ready for her interview... ![]() I supported the Seahawks and they unfortunately lost. ![]() Scary movies used to be my thing and then I watched the Poltergeist and got scared. Now, I only watch mildly scary movies. You are so kind to us on this forum and I hope to be able to report very soon that my mom's interview went great. God bless you. Best, Gabriellle |
Dear VO, Not sure if you are a patriots or seahawks fan, hope you team wins/won!! :-) My mother has her interview in a few days and one of the documents requested was a marriage certificate. When she and my dad did their traditional wedding years ago, it was done in her parents home and not at the customary court. My question is: Will the affidavit we submitted already, in addition to pictures from the occasion, her name change document, as well as pictures of my parents and their children through the years, be enough as proof of her marriage OR do we need additional evidence? Thank you very much. Have a perfect week ahead! Best, Gabriellle |
Dear VO, I just called the NVC and was told my case has been transferred to Lagos for appointment scheduling. I am overjoyed!! Two questions: Is it possible to be scheduled for february? Is it possible to request an earlier date after being scheduled? Thank you very much! Best, Gabby |
Dear VO, I suspected as much. Thank you so much for your response! We are all very excited about baby's arrival. I will try to be patient and pray that things move along quickly at the NVC. Have a very wonderful day! God bless you. Best, Gabriellle |
Dear VO, I have applied for an immigrant visa for my mother and we are nowhere near completing the process; AOS and Civil documents are still under review at the NVC. However, because of health reasons, (having a C-Section next week), I was wondering if we can apply for a B1/B2 visa for her to come temporarily to help me when I have the baby. Will this be feasible? I have read its really hard to get a visitor visa when an IV visa is pending but I really need her assistance as I will be alone with the baby. Can this visa fall under the emergency health reason category? Please let me know what to do. Thank you very much. Best, Gabriellle |
Dear VO, Thank you very much for being such a valuable resource to us on this forum. I applied for an immigrant visa for my parent and have requested expedited processing based on a medical emergency. How long does it typically take to receive a decision from the Embassy? My case was forwarded from the NVC yesterday. Thank you! Best, Gabriellle |
Baba God is ever faithful! I got a bumper package on wednesday and now,I passed and i am to write my PEIII!!! House, please hook up with me!! All drinks are on me tonight!!!! ![]() |
delta 1, no be fight now! i did my interviews in two days and turned them down! that doesnt make your new job lose its shine! did i forget to add that i had lunch at their cafeteria while i was being interviewed and was chaffeur-driven from one of their offices to the other for my interviews?! once again a big congratulations to you and i wish you a fruitful time with KPMG! |
When it comes to giving to God, most of us believe that God should understand! While we cannot knowing give a friend we intend to assist financially 20 naira, at the end of a week, 7 days, our thanksgiving to God, is 20 naira carelessly dropped in the offertory basket! I have to confess it was my younger brother who challenged me bout a year ago to give more. If we give 5 naira a day, which in itself is pitiful, we would not come up to 20 bucks at the end of the week. So I ask you today, as another sunday draws near, will it still be 20 naira or less?!! |
i did my interviews in kpmg in two days and by 12 noon on the second day, I had an offer even without medicals! I turned it down cos the pay was less than what I was already collecting in another company. My advice to nairalanders is believe in yourself and you'd achieve and re-achieve success constantly! congrats again man! KPMG is a great place to start or grow a career! |
I found this topic very entertaining! to all my sisters out there wondering how to get firm abs just take a long and hard look at the lovely tummy of dear miss ghana!! ![]() |
He is over forty and unmarried. He impregnated a 16 year old girl, a minor, and he doesnt see anything wrong in what he did. He faulted the girl's father for wanting to put him behind bars and claims the 16 year old seduced him!!! Is he for real? |
Within the past three months, I have encountered five people who have resigned from or intend to resign from their current jobs. They are all leaving the shores of our humble country on full funded scholarships to Europe and America! The scholarships are from host universities. In their shoes, would you leave your 150k plus job to pursue an advanced degree? |
hey yomiton, it aint about getting people jealous! its about letting them know that good things can happen to them in 2008, cos others got such good things last year. so let it out and let's all get jealous!!! |
hi people, the best thing that happened to me in 2007 was my succesful completion of my service year. I felt free. I felt like my university certificate was just not another piece of paper. I could now apply for every job and position I desired in my country Nigeria and receive full consideration. Deciding to do the service year was really tough for me as I was of the opinion that it was equal to one year of my history down the drain but, I actually enjoyed the year and got retained at the place where I served!! Not the greatest job, but the 'take home' takes me home! So, think back to 2007 people and inspire others with the best thing that happened to you in 2007! |

hi. now if the scholarship you want is for this session, 07/08, you are unfortunately late for most of them. on the other hand if you are looking toward the 08/09 session you are very early. first there is the british chevening scholarship currently on for that session. collect the prelim forms from the british council office in lagos, abuja, kano or port-harcourt depending on where you are located. then there is the esso mobil scholarship that comes out about june each year for students already admitted to study that year, and of course most schools have scholarships. not forgetting the ptdf and state scholarships. so go for your free education!!! |

yes o! its a scam alright but if you got guts, spare cash and enough greed in your veins, then go for it!!! a friend of mine made 3,000,000 naira off wealth solutions. the end is near alright but you might just make it out in time before dem close market. If you do lose your money, then its hard luck and you money don catch fire!! Quite frankly, its a most not do, just dont do it. |
