my experiences are with CHINA/JAPAN and i will have to disagree on that one and say that the only reason is down to LOOSING FACE and the way they are viewed by their peers, not only old folks but everyone especially asian MEN. Most women LOVED foreigners (black or white) but due to the way they are look upon by the society, they prefer to keep their attention to foreigners as a 'dream", or hide their relationships indoors.
family is very important in Asia and most parents have the OLD mentality that view a foreign marriage as bound to fail due to different cultures therefore they dont approve of them but it rarely stops them. also Japanese/chinese are very shy and do not show their feeling in the open like most westerners. it's very difficult to see a japanese woman holding hand with a man PERIOD, let alone a foreigner.
the new generation of asian have no care in the world about it and they date whoever they fancy. lets not forget that in China, until a few yrs ago, we were seen (black or white) as the devil from the west. The stigma with the black man and his big cock can turn the petite asian women away from the black man by fear of being mess to death, many blacks will tell you stories of women running away from their home by the look of the guy's cock.
in Japan, Roppongi is the place to go and see japanese be themselves around foreigners. almost 50% of entertainment businesses are owned by africans and women are going there in the sole purpose of meeting foreigners, in other places they are more reserved but EVERY Single 9ja man that i met in Japan was married/dating a japanese woman.
in China, Beijing, blacks had a bad reputation of being JUST DRUG DEALERS due to a place called SANLITUN(the entertainment district) and you have to really fight to prove them wrong but if you moved away from there then it was no problem to meet and date chinese women, as long as you could speak mandarin, but move to Shanghai and there is no more problem and chinese dating blacks is seen EVERYWHERE. i have yet to meet a "DECENT" black guy who had problem dating chinese women.

Am sorry but im referring more towards the malaysian/ singporeans. Its more towards skin colour especially from the elderly people. Their perceotion is more towards skin colour and yeah partly its also like what you said. Afraid of their peer judging them. Am facing the same problem as well but my family is in support of me its because my aunt is married to a Jamaican so its cool

That is correct. . . Even when i was studying in suisse before. i noticed that only the Asians stick with Asians. My brother treats his gf like a rag alright. She is beautiful and slim and very fair and all. . . but the problem with her is that she aint got a brain. And bwhats the cause of all that? because of your actions. . . the way you behave to the locals and the way you treat them.

Ok, let me spill it out. There are some reasons to why Asians or s=rather most Asians to not date a Dark Choc guy.

Reason 1:

Like i meantioned, Skin colour. Black = Bad and White = Good. In most movies being cast in Asia, they always feature the Black guy to be the villain instead of the Whites but now its getting better, they are changing it slowly by slowly.


reason 2:

Influence from our old folks. which leads it back to skin Colour. Just a general generalization on Skin colour.


reason 3:

Believe it or not, the blacks had managed to spoil their name by cheating on their women and all these things and the news get spread like SARS. To Asians, when they hear someone dating a black, they will say OH NOOO! Stay far away. They dont cook, they dont clean. . . they think they are superior than the females. . . Than when they marry you they would have other wives especially from their own country cause they know their wives in Africa would obey to them like dogs. Thats what they say.

I face it all the time here considering Im dating a black guy. People keep weighing me down all the time and they will all hope that I would  end it with him soon.

Its because of one stupid reason. . . Skin colour. The Asians are all into the Whites cause of their skin colour. . . To them its this:-

When they wanted to tease someone, they would say I see you getting married to an African and everyone would laugh and the perdson being teased will get very offended. So can you imagine what is that?

i remembered my days growing up in a bad environement cause i was into black when i was young that I do dreadlocks and I would act like one. And I had no friends from than. . . It was hard but its what Im passionate for.
