I believe Sir OakPearl has responded well to this. But wish to add that fintech implementation committee set up by SEC to regulate all fintechs has started work. All these investments apps are agents of main brokers...Chaka works with Citi Investment Capita in Nigerial. Mr Tosin Osibodu is the founder of Chaka...Mrs Osibodu is CEO of Citi Investment Capital..i do not know if they are relations..

Yes,they take fees fro trades. Local trades is 0.5% whether selling or buying. For global trades,it is 1%,buying or selling,either way the same.

I only use them for US stocks. Locally i use ARM Securities and Meritrade. They have calculator too on their platform. Calculate to authenticate

I registered with Chaka with full name as in my bank account...know your customer kyc...including your bvn...
When you deposit in naira,cash or online...it will hit your account in naira. Then if you want to buy US or other countries stock,they have an exchange option on the site. Just click on it and wait for some minutes...it will become dollar .....then you can buy stocks with it. When you want to withdraw,you hit the exchange option again...your dollar goes to naira...then you withdraw to your bank...savvy?

My conversation with Trove officials about how to receive dividend payment was encouraging.
They dividend is paid to your trading account directly once it is declared.

When i was researching on US stocks,i was so happy seeing monthly and quarterly dividend stocks....i went to check further and found that if you do a proper due diligence...you can be earning weekly dividends based on company stocks you bought and particular week that they pay dividend in a particular month. That is, there are stocks that pay first week in their quarterly dividends,some second week,others third week and so on...in January,May,August and December etc...you have to find particular month and week each stock pays...from there you buy in such a way that each week..there is a stock that will drop something in your account......12 stocks that pay quarterly can get you this.

I think the tax is deducted from your dividend. Also since one does not use USA government infrastructure and facility... USA non-resident cannot pay tax...i stand to be corrected

no matter the amount they pay you, 8 to 5 work is a slavery work and the person will be poor for life if such does not have financial intelligence. More people would still be poor cos of their mentality, they call everything scam including stock investment, i currently sit on [b]profit of 2m [/b]in a stock i invested in mid dec last yr and there is still room to gain more profits before they release their result. I want my money to be working for me 24hrs and not me working for money instead i strategise on how money will be making more monies. Am from a poverty stricken family but i have enter into a covenent with the GOD of heaven to change the story for the people coming behind me so I SAY NO TO POVERTY WITH THE WHOLE OF MY HEART. But unfortunate, many people would still be poor, seriously regretting that i heard about MBA fx late and i have been compounding part of my gain since first investment. 500k compunded will give me 75k again pls nay sayers can say whatever they like is my money and i dont owe any one any explanation. You are right. One might think this post suggests that it is easier to understand Nigerian businesses than Us businesses because of the locational difference since this is a Nigerian forum. However, it is easier to understand US businesses than ours. Using business research databases like S&P Netadvantage, Thompson One, Factset, Bloomberg, and a host of others would give you more information on US companies than the Nigerian companies on those platforms.

Nigerian companies are not on Yahoo finance but you can get the basic information on any US quoted company for free.

I tell you, information on US companies are readily available even on youtube...i was surprised researching on companies that pay dividend monthly in US unlike here where before you know anything the Nigerian managers would have finished the company. The tranparency in US companies is quite different from here...there are lots of hidden things going on here...so much inside job and hoarding of info..if not that some stocks still pay dividend here..we keep waiting for foreign portfolios to come before we see correct bull....nonsense,,,,HERE PRICES DO NOT MOVE BASED ON INFORMATION...A company will announce a fantastic result and the stock price will move deep south.....wonders happen here
