YerYer: Mehn the airline stocks are selling off right now. Google has halted all international travel for all their employees. Ford motors also halted travel for their employees. This is similar to what happened after the terrorist attacks on september 11th 2001 but after the bottom, the airline stocks had a V shape rally of 50%. Today we found out that Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway increased it's stake in Delta Airlines. I will be watching the airline stocks but mostly as they continue to fall as more news about travel restrictions from corporate america come to light. I like Southwest Airline (LUV). DOW swung 1500 points today, the bottom is usually very volatile. Good direction...see better compass..thank you Sir.. |

YerYer: Stocks I will be watching closely and might buy the shares or call options.
TLRA Telaria: Current price $13.27
PLUG Plug Power: $5.27
DEAC Diamond Eagle Aquisition Corp: $17.74
AMD Advanced Micro Devices, Inc: $57.86
MSFT Microsoft Corp: $188.10
Many of these names are already up big pre-market and quite frankly overheated right now, but I will choose an entry point and ride the wave and get out. Watching SPCE and TSLA too, was able to get more call options in SPCE yesterday. Will likely dip into AMD at open. PLEASE SIR...HOW DO YOU THIS CALL OPTION? WHICH PLATFORM DO YOU USE? TEACH US |

OakPearl: PRE-MARKET UPDATE In spite of the fall of the Dow Futures by 150 points today, which is a signal of what the general market trend may be when trading resumes today (though this does not always happen 100%), there are signs that some of the best performing stocks are still very likely to continue their upward trend.
Congratulations if you bought the following:
Virgin Galactic (SPCE). Was $23.08 on date of analysis. It is set to hit $32 today from the last closing price of $28.68.
Sprint (S) Was $4.80 on date of analysis. It is set to trade today at $8.74 from the last closing price of $8.69.
Nio (NIO) It is set to trade at $3.87 from $3.77. This one is for the future. Will jump beyond this after coronavirus is sorted.
Tesla (TSLA) It is set to trade at $857 from the last closing price of $800.03. That's a whopping $57 gain per share in one day!
Moral of the story: Even in a down market, with hard work and careful analysis, money can still be made. Spot on Sir..looking closing prices...you are a guru...more please |

Hottdawgg: This is an extremely important observation. What guarantees are there the intermediary will not take advantage of what is clearly a loop hole? My account is loaded and ready to go but this alongside unfavorable exchange rate with Trove bothers me as a new entrant.
OakPearl you have started what to some of is a dream come true. Thanks.
My other concern is how long is this going to last? I am not an economist neither do I pretend to be but this appears to be a form of capital flight that may put further pressure on the naira. Is it sustainable? What happens when our govt says no, enough is enough? Or should we just revel in our fools paradise, being the risk takers that we are, hoping for the best? When some of us joined in the NSE bubble that was promoted on NL sometime ago, we had no such fears. On capital flight...what about the inflow through selling for price appreciation? Dividends too? I think there is both inflow and outflow. Last week i made some gains and exchanged to naira. We continue to make money while we wait for CBN.. |

The dividend is sent to your wallet straight away...very efficient system...no signature specimen,no registrar wahala,no bank filling forms...Nigeria is in trouble..lolThen from your wallet[it is written..AVAILABLE TO TRADE] you can buy new shares...but if you want to withdraw, you exchange dollar to naira...then withdraw. You cannot withdraw dollar. |

ukay2: Sorry please be given us some stocks peak and those good dividend paying stocks
How are dividend payments going to be? I it via my wallet then I use it to buy more shares or I just withdraw it.....
Thanks On dividends, some pay monthly but mostly in cents, most pay quarterly, some twice a year, some once..go this site street dot com..they have a calender where you see which stock pays in which month and which week sef....you can even organize it so well that you can be earning weekly dividends. It will take a lot of hard work from you to work it out |

ChybuzzDD: Is there any stock you can advise one to buy now at a relatively cheaper price, going by your research so far? I am not yet an expert in picking stocks...sometimes i do follow follow...or if i see a stock with good fundamentals rising...i buy it...once i hit 10 to 15% gain i sell it...then wait for another. Otherwise i am a dividend investor... |
Investment › Re: Buying US Stocks From Nigeria by gamaliel9(op): 9:33pm On Feb 13, 2020 |
ChybuzzDD: Kindly let us know how you funded your account, converted naira to dollars to be able to buy the stocks, and how you will get the money to your naira account after selling. Thank you. I funded my account through online transfer,in `narration` i input my ID[chaka gives it to you] and my name too. i did this transfer before 9:30am. Before 12noon,it reflected in my account. Then i moved fast to the funding page...click on `EXCHANGE`.the interface for changing from naira to dollar or vice versa came..then i input the amount i wanted to be changed to dollar. It was successful.. Then around 3pm..it was reflecting in my dollar wallet. NB 1. Do your transfer before 12noon 2. Do your exchange before 2pm..reason....for your money to reflect in your wallet the same day. If it passes 2pm...you will get your dollar the next business day. You can also do cash deposit..also observing the timelines above. After selling, you follow the same pattern...you exchange your dollar to naira...then withdraw to your bank. Good luck |

US market is so efficient...when you hear a positive news about a company definitely it will rise or vice versa...but in Nigeria eeee...a company will release a bad result and the stock will do 10% that day and next...a lot of things happen secretly here.... |

YerYer: I use TD Ameritrade and Robinhood. As of late last year almost all the U.S based brokerages switched to zero commission trades. It was fierce competition that made all of them switch to free trades and I believe similar things will happen to the nigerian based brokerages. Trove, Chaka and co are good too. As more people show interest, more brokerages will come on board. You can still make good gains that neglect the 1% fee. Evidently you are not living in Nigeria because those two apps or brokers do not accept Nigerians. |
