And you wonder why Nigeria is in a state of comatose, people just chill in the corner of their homes and contort obvious lies and fallacies to destroy others and you wonder why God is not answering your prayers. If you have any suspicion please report to the NSE and if you have any facts on wrong doing just spill it here. Its not fair my brother. Look we are all not happy with MorganCapital.
holm:

You want them condemned for unverified claims. There are regulators that are waiting to investigate your claims and get you judgement. That is where to start from, not Nairaland.

Have you not been in a bank where the most irate customer gets attended to just because of his behaviour? Again this is Nigeria. Rants have their effects. Nobody likes controversy. And again my man is just alleging, it's not like he swore with a bible

...just thinking loud, if you strongly believe your money is being used for illicit trading, will calling them names on this platform change things in the future? I will rather first report them them to NSE and if nothing is done, take them to court to claim damages. If 1 person cannot, we can group ourselves together and take them to court, if there is any evidence.

That is why we continue to make "noise" in this country and nothing seem to change.

I hope you don't concoct theories like this against people in real life grin It is a grave sin against God.....to make false accusations which you can't prove. Always give a benefit of doubt. What if you are wrong? You would have succeeded in unjustly tarnishing the image of your victim. False accusations, bearing false witnesses, spreading evil about an individual.......God hates passionately.
You guys are strongly defensive of morgan capital. are you in any way affiliated? Let my man vent...false or otherwise. conspiracy theories are allowed ... there is no smoke without fire.. this is nigeria

UCAP's consistent albeit leisurely (considering the current NSE's form) up trend is interesting. Q2 is all most over. With UCAP, always being among the first kids to run home to the parents with their score cards - generally 2 weeks after qtr end - I think it's time to position with today's sell off. I'm sure of cap appreciation but interim div grin grin grin

Among the 8 banks that survived CBN Forex sanction FIDELITYBANK @80kobo is trading 90% below it N8:00k Initial Public 0ffer Price in 2008.

Do your homework before the TRAIN move.

*ThE OcToPuS*

He's actually right. FIDELITYBK is prime for 5 - 15 % jijo play. Had a low of 0.80 today. Nearing all time low of 0.76. there should be a reversal for a consistent div paying stock. oversold in stochastics

I am satisfied with the result.I am sure the result will keep the price of the stock.value investors will like to own the stock.it has a good fundamental.THE ONLY AREA EVERYONE IS MAD IS THE 10KOBO.The bridge you uploaded above is not for me and not for fcmb faithfuls. There is no cause of alarm here bro.
Let other Tier2 banks declare their's lets know the next action.

bro from my jijoing experience in nse, there are no value investors in nse. Even if the result is excellent, that 10kobo is a huge negative sentiment.
(UCAP with its excellent result and div yield didn't even last an hour in the 4 - 4.05 range on the day after result release)
Personally, I would advise you sell. sell all!!! Come back in april and load at a cheaper price in anticipation for q1. Please set alarm for 10 o'clock tomorrow

thanks for the clarification
Intendy:

Yes you can but the dividend would have been taken off (subtracted) from it's last trading day's price.
once market resumes on Monday it is automatically subtracted.
but you might find yourself lucky if it gains after markdown but bear in mind it can also loose.
it's a preventive measure of you eating your cake and having it at the same time

thanks. bro, one last question in order not to misconstrue what you just said. Can i sell after the qualifying date irrespective of closure dates with multiple dates? example, for afriprud, can i sell on the 6th and still get my dividends?
Intendy:

qualifying date is the last date you must buy in order to partake of the dividend,
closure date is when the stock will marked down.

closure date for ucap is 3rd march so the qualification date is 2nd march

closure date for afriprud is 6th -10 march
so the qualification date is 3rd march since 5th march is a Sunday.
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by gambei: 8:54pm On Feb 23, 2017
bro, what is the difference between qualifying date and closure of register? which qualifies u for dividend payment( march 3 or march 6 - 10)?
fxuser:

Closure :March 6 - 10
