PoliticsRe: Amnesty For Boko Haram Is Wickedness - Oritsejafor by Gamji007: 11:53am On Apr 07, 2013
katordidi: thats very foolish of u. Is amnesty the best solution to u? How many world leaders have granted amnesty to terrorists, nigeria claims to have the best armed forces in africa there should be an all-out-assualt on boko haram and not talk of amnesty. Imagine obama even considering amnesty for al-qaeda. If Jonathan cant handle the heat he should make way.. Period. Stop playing politics with peoples lives
No my friend, amnesty isn't the best solution, but every other methods have been tried and no positive result achieved. Of all the possible measures that could bring peace, I believe amnesty should be part of it, and thus, should be considered.
Please let's be realistic here and put sentiments aside.

N.B: You are so foolish to forget that Nigeria that claims to have the strongest mullitary in Africa, offered amnesty to ND terrorists and it yielded a little positive result.

mekaboy: Don't be a fool, amnesty will bring more bloodshed than what we r experiencing now.it cld lead to violent division of this country across religious regions.

Boko haram is religious and you don't know what people can do when u mess with their faith. When the christians are pushed to the wall, there will be no peace in nigeria.
O.k Mr.Smart! Can you please provide us with a reasonable solution?

PoliticsRe: Are Christians In North Central Nigeria Facing The Threat Of Genocide? by Gamji007: 8:51pm On Apr 06, 2013
After 1966, the Mddle beltans have had more influence than any other region in the country. They have produced Heads of state for the longest period in the history of this country. They controlled the millitary for a greater number of years and I believe they still do. Of all attrocites attributed to the North, the middle beltans contributed more than half.

The middle belt has no right to complain of marginalisation or any fear of Genocide. They should also try to be proud of their identity, and not trying to form an alliance with other regions because they see the core North as the enemy. We are our own greatest enemies. The moment we start to respect one another irrespective of our religious/tribal differences, only then shall we have peace in this country.
And honestly, if there should be a seperation of this country, the middle belt will be in for it because they would be slaves to either side of the divide grin
PoliticsRe: Are Christians In North Central Nigeria Facing The Threat Of Genocide? by Gamji007: 7:48pm On Apr 06, 2013
QreatifDave: . Wow. Gowon was not chief of Army Staff in Ironsi's government. When the coup took place, he just returned from military training abroad. There were officers more senior than him. Eg. Col Pam & Brigadier Maimalari. Why should he be COA? Danjuma was not Ironsi's ADC, LtSani Bello was. You got that wrong. This discussion is about drawing attention of the public to the possibility of genocide against Christians in some North Central States. I think we've gotten your attention, otherwise you won't be in this discussion.
I don't think your arguements can go any further. Pls, go refresh your brain with the history of "yester years"

sammyzacks: Interesting discussion, let it go on. But it is worth saying here that we need to properly define the problem of Nigeria and fight it in unity. The igbo guys on this forum should learn from history, forgive the middlebeltans and work together with them in unity to defeat their common enemy. When we keep struggling in isolation we allnare going to lose out.
Do you mind telling us who the common enemy is?

I'm still finding it hard to figure out how most Nigerians especially in this forum, find it hard to apply their brains to reason. For God's sake, nobody is asking anybody to pay before applying his brain, its free of charge. Else, how can a sensible and reasonable person make such comments above, and even others before him?
How can any sensible and reasonable person say that comments made by GMG in 2011 ( eventhough none of the lunatics can tell you where and when he made such comments) caused the problems that started in 2009?

Haba Nigerians, the use of brain is free, except if there is none!
