This increase is basically because the prices of goods and services went up.

The way people are even running from DS/NS, it may be difficult to get the buyer with the required 100,000 units block to send the price down grin

Don't be surprised to see 100000 unit bid at 2.19pm

I think the message by NASCON was either hasty or intentional. They could have worked the issues with SEC in the background and issue an amendment to the merger. Why issue a notice that will send your stock price on a free fall.

Daylight robbery.

Even though the 364 days bid got 21.49% it doesn't mean all the banks will get 21.49% it depends on what they bidded, they have to be careful too because if the bank bids higher than the stop rate the bid will be unsuccessful and they lose all the commissions for that week

Maybe the person you met doesn't know about it and didn't bother to ask or the branch doesn't do TB. I also went to Stanbic and they told me the next auction date was 13th March 2024 vs 6th March 2024

Was anyone successful at the week's auction, what bank and rate ?

Mine was successful with First Bank, around 20 -21%. I have not seen the certificate just rough calculation from the interest returned

I thought I am the only one who noticed it. When one looks at its resilience against its scary OS, it becomes clear that there is something big likely to happen about it soon.

Somebody is ensuring TRANSCORP doesn't go below a level, anytime it starts free fall some will just come a place bid for 1million units

First bank did. Mine went through @19%

Did you specify your rate or went with bank rate?

Is it normal for bid for some customers within the same bank to be successful while others are not especially if they go with bank rate

My TB with First Bank was not successful, did anybody experience same?

[quote author=egojeny1 post=128611551]
I follow dey ask o. Pls folks help

I read it up

If the stop rate for 365 days is 19% and you invested 1000000

Interest =19/100 × 1000000 =190000

The bank will take (1000000 -190000) = 810000 from the money you planned to invest and leave your interest (190000).

So the real amount you part with to earn the interest is 810000

True yeild = 190000/810000 × 100/1 = 23.456%
I think the difference in the decimals may be charges

A 36yr old with rental income of 2m annually, monthly salary of between 900-1m after tax. $50k(total portfolio valuation) in crypto and $20k in dollar mutual fund, over 20m in paper profit from ngx shares but pays rent.

If this were you, would liquidate any of this asset class to purchase a home or continue to grow your networth

If you build a house for say 20m and another person invest in FGN bonds at 15 per anum, he gets 3m annually he can pay his rent with 1.5m and keep 1.5m for other investments. I personally will recommend investing first then build later from proceeds of investment especially if the building is for personal residency. In building you tie down both the value of the land and the money used in building.

Are they not compensated for the risk adequately? What is the compensation for this risk? Since a job is the same as birthing.

Unfortunately the monetary compensation cannot restore your health from radioactivity, carcinogenic chemicals, it is hard to see a rig worker of 15yrs that has not witnessed a death onsite the truma is everlasting.
Finally both parties in a relationship are important and there should be mutual respect and appreciation.

All this is the result of misplaced priorities,; we were building rail to transport people, why didn't we build rails from BUA and Dangote factories to the 6 geopolitical zones and device a means to collect toll fees to reclaim cost in 5-10 yrs?

In some cultures if the widow as much as cook for the children she had with the late husband with money from the new man without returning dowry and prayer, the children will fall sick and might lead to their death if not discovered and addressed quickly. When it comes to married women and widows, tread with uttermost caution.

Politics / Re: FG Okays Re-Opening Of Seme Border For Vehicle Importation by gare2510(m): 10:17am On Jun 22, 2023
Instead of opening seme border why not encourage the vehicle dealers to berth their ships in Calabar or Warri port, that way you don't pay the double duty (Cotonou and Nigeria) and reduce overall price of the car and smuggling associated with Seme border area
