jorges1: @Marvinc4u, ua a bigger foul. @Garriboy seems all ur information comes just from nairaland. U Guys shld go ahead and make excuses for the Oba. What authenticity do u require when more enlightened people have commented and has condemned him including d opposition party. Are u implying that he didn't say such? 1. I don't knw if I'm the one u r calling a bigger foul but if I am den I don't tink dat insult is necessary, given dat I don't insult people. 2. u have to know dat I'm ibo and if anything I shouldn't be defending the oba. 3. As at wen I made my comment the tape had not been verified. It was too early for u or me to say dats wat d oba said and given his position it is normal for one to give him the benefit of doubt to make such callous threat. I hope u understand nw |
Politics › Re: “Every Ethnic Group Safe Under Me” - Ambode Disowns 'Die In The Lagoon" Speech by garriboy(m): 8:25pm On Apr 06, 2015 |
Jk210: Well said Ambode
Oba Akiolu goofed and has been called out. Can we give it a rest already before the whole thing takes a dimension of Igbo vs Yoruba?
It's expected that PDP would milk this for all it's worth but we must not all get carried away. Other politicians and even our First Lady have made similar calls in the past. It only goes to show how uncouth with speech our leaders are.
It also points to the need for us to respect our host communities and not make them feel threathened. We all know that the leverage Igbo's enjoy in Lagos is not up to what other ethnic groups enjoy in the south east. JK started the ethnic politicking by courting the Igbos which was wrong. Igbo's should go out on Saturday and vote whoever they want.
So please enough of all these threads. Ur post further explains my point of how people on here can be intelligent yet unintelligent at d same time. You said it well but to use a phrase like "host communities" ? Its one Nigeria for christ sakes. Do u hear such words like host communities in the context with which u used it in developed countries? And how exactly do other ethnic groups not enjoy the same leverage in the SE as the ibos enjoy in lagos Have u gone to the south east and opened up a shop and the ibos prevented u from doing dat? Have u tried to run for a political post within a SE state and u were prevented? Constitutionally u r free to do dat. The reason why ibos (and we both know its not just ibos) can run for elective posts in lagos and come out successful I becos they've been there for a long time and as such has gained popularity enough to actually win an election within the state. The proof is in the fact dat most times they run against lagos indigenes and actually win them in their own state. So wat leverage are u talking about exactly. The type where they were deported? U seem learned from ur post, don't give an otherwise impression. Thank u |

Is it for a speech well delivered or is it in conformity with what he said or what? I need clearance please, I may not HV understood d clap properly. Maybe someone might help me explain If your are wiser than the ibos as u imply, the 1st thing u'd have done is to question the authenticity of the tape b4 the clapping. Nw dat u knw dis, how foolish do u feel about urself? Talk true |

Going thru comments on this post u'll notice sometin abt nairaland. We actually have people who are intelligent but stupid. This where u'll see someone condemn the oba's statement and support it at the same time. If really the Oba said dis den he is wrong, no matter how he is reverred. U can't threaten people to vote a particular candidate, a man like him should know better and let us be clear on one thing science pass tradition and juju o. If he does anything unlawful to the ibos d FG go tidy am wella and nothing go even happen. Go and read about wat happened to our kings dose days wen the british 1st came if u doubt me. But I still don't believe the oba made dose statement. I hold him in a much higher esteem than dat. |

I've heard of ppl who at one point did it up to 5 times a day for a long period of time yet they finally stopped it witout any effort or anything. I don't self service (never done dat) but I doubt if that can really replace sex or give any satisfaction similar to actual intercourse. Cos if it does, den why person go dey waste time dey pursue babe wey e know say e wan just screw? Ppl who get addicted to self servicing in my opinion simply have an underlying (possibly undiscovered) mental disorder. |

HE really need to man up and grow some balls. You give some women too much freedom and they will sit on your neck. How can u even say dis. The woman is wrong. Period! Are you supposed to place ur wife in some sort of bondage in dis 21st century. We are talking abt his wife here, not his daughter, she's supposed to be grown up enuff not to abuse whatever sort of freedom she gets. Funny enuff u r a woman, would u want ur freedom to be limited by ur husband? Emperoradrian: I was rushing to my school bus stand to enter the bus before it fills up,then suddenly i hit my left leg against a stone,i now made the sign of the cross and continued my journey, then this girl walked up to me,and asked why i was making the sign of the cross,i replied her "the bible says we should pray at all time".she just laughed and we parted ways....
A week later,i went to buy petrol at the station in my street,i had my earpiece stuffed in my ears, enjoying my highlife by osadebe,....i got to the station, bought the fuel, then on my return journey, someone tapped me and said.."oboy person d call u",when i turned,lo and behold,it was same gal i had met in school,i crossed to the other side of the road to meet her,i didn't know she was the one until she helped me recall....she was with plenty bags, and i inquired what she was doing with all those bags, she said she's just returning from Ph,that she saw me when i passed, and called me but i didnt answer her... I apologized, and asked her if she had any goody for me ,she said i should follow her to her house if i needed one....i declined because i was rushing home to watch UEFA match, and told her i'd come for it another day, after which i collected her number and rushed off.......
On friday that week,i went for a friend's birthday party, and slept over, when i was coming back on saturday evening,i met this same girl on the road, and she said i've been reluctant about coming to visit her, that i must follow her to her lodge that nite,i agreed, when we got to her house,it was a self con room, nice,i loved the paintings on her wall,i was admiring the room, while she was packing her cloths she washed earlier inside, after that, the next thing, she started undressing herself, leaving only her panties and bra on,after which she used her towel to cover herself before entering the bathroom, all this while,i just kept my cool, pressing my fone....she finally came out of the bathroom, and layed down on her bed with only her towel,we talked a few more minutes, before i told her that i'd love to take my leave now....when i got home, she sent me a whatsapp message saying i didn't ask her to offer me anything....
I need your opinions here, was she sending me GREEN LIGHT or was it normal ? PURE MUGU. U must be color blind. Someone like u shld not drive on a road with traffic light, u go cause very serious hold up. |

Ur headline is confusing. Its "users" not "usage" temitayoolu: The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, says the number of internet users on the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) networks has increased from 76,322, 802 in 2014 to 81,892,840 in January 2015.
This is contained in the NCC Monthly Internet Subscriber Data, obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Lagos.
According to the data, there is an increase of 5,570,038 internet users on the networks in January.
It showed that from the 81,892,840 internet users recorded in January, MTN Nigeria led the table with 39,173,123 customers browsing the internet on its network.
It stated that MTN had an increase of 556,386 internet subscribers in January, after it recorded 38,616,737 users in the month of December 2014.
According to the data, Globacom is second on the internet usage table, recording 17,671,405 subscribers surfing the net with its network in January.
The data revealed that Globacom gained a total of 532,085 additional internet users on its network, up from 17,139,320 users in December 2014.
Airtel Nigeria, it said was third on the roll with 14,969,924 internet users in January, as against 14,371,987 customers recorded in December.
The data showed that internet users on the Airtel Nigeria network also increased by 597,937 in January.
It disclosed that Etisalat was last on the table with 10,078,388 of its customers browsing the internet in January, compared to the 6,194,758 users in December, an increase of 3,883,630 users.
The NCC data also revealed that the Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) operators (Multi-Links and Visafone) had a joint total of 153,798 internet users on their networks in January.
It showed, however, that the only surviving two CDMA networks in the country listed a loss of 526 internet subscribers in the month under review from the 154,324 users they recorded in December.
The data stated that Visafone recorded a decrease of 311 customers surfing the internet in January, reducing the number to 153,059 compared to the 153,370 users in the month of December.
It said that Multi-Links had 739 internet users in January, hence losing 215 customers from the December record of 954 users.
The data further showed that in spite of the decrease on the part of the CDMA networks, Nigerians were gradually embracing data as the next revolution in the Information and Communications Technology sector.

hammer2010: In as much as I am happy, not necessarilly because GMB is highly likely to be elected the next President, but because Nigerians have clearly shown that the masses can not be underestimated when it comes to governance and policy making, I fear that the current recruitment process at FAAN and NIS et al, may be adversely affected by this development.
If history is anything to go by, we have severally witnessed situations where an on-going project/process initiated by an incumbent government, have been discontinued/abandoned for one frivolous reason or the other, after they have been toppled from power.
Though I will not be directly affected, I can only pray that the incoming government will not join the band wagon, and discontinue the on-going processes unfairly.
It will be a monumental and colosal mistake, if I fail to use this platform to congratulate the President elect GMB, on his victory at polls. So what are the possible impacts then? Is there a part two or some sort of continuation of this post? |

U say u r nt campaigning but ur opinion is biased. Wat has PDP got to do with JK's personality. Its same mistakes Nigerians make. Its not the party but the individual dat matters. If fashola had contested the presedential elections under pdp, it will be foolish for anyone to say they won't vote him cos he came under that party. And if u've been following up with Nigerian politics then u'll knw dat party is nothing but a platform for a politician to contest elections. U'll knw dis becos of hw easily they switch from one party to the other. Amaechi from river state is an example. There are APC supporters today who laud Amaechi, but most of the good works he did in d state, he did them while in pdp, so u shld change d way u think. Thank u |
