marvin905: I understand you feel inferior and threatened but don't worry, i get it. People like you resort to verbal abuses and copied memes just to boost your confidence. Like i said, they ruined your life. And like i said you know nothing about me. My achievements in five years would take you a lifetime to achieve. 1 Like |

Arsenalholic: It does nothing to me dear but hypocrisy sure does. 'Useless' and 'meaningless' are relative. Some persons find it useful! How long would it take you to deal with it?! Oga pls be a man and mind your busimess and one last thing, try and respect people's opinion. 1 Like |

Those of you calling those watching BBN names or calling it a useless show, sayin it's a sheer waste of time, you're the problem with the Nigerian democracy. How can you not respect people's freedom to follow up with a show they find interesting? The same way you watch your sports channel, favorite soap or movie is the same interest some persons have for reality shows. We cannot all be the same, our differences is what makes life beautiful. The world would be a boring place if we were all alike. it's very simple, when you see a thread that doesn't suit your area of interest, just waka pass as I do when it's a sports thread. Who are you to choose what the other person should like or dislike? Are you God? Even God has given man the free will. Why open a thread and thrash the mods for pushing it to front page? And the same hypocrites would even be asking what bbn lovers learn and the benefit. Biko, what do you learn from football? Most of you have not touched a ball since you were kids. If you say it's thrilling, fun and entertaining, why not allow the others have the same fun and thrill in their own way. You would open this 'forbidden' thread, read and even watch the videos, and now open your mouth to call them names. Need I remind you that there's a reason it's called a reality show, shit happens, some of which I personally don't dig, but what can i do? It's what happens in real life. They all had different training and were raised differently. There's a reason Nairaland as a platform has different sections, you follow threads at will. Let's all be mature and and be properly guided. 37 Likes 3 Shares |
TV/Movies / Reality Shows And The Winner-takes-it-all Syndrome by GATED(f): 3:02am On Jan 19, 2018 |
Reality shows, save but a few are known for the practice of giving the prize money to one person, when other contestants went through the same rigorous procedure; going by the fights, the tasks, the shitty meals (kai), the betrayals, the arena challenge, trainings, and all the daunting tasks. And when by sheer luck, one person appears to garner the love of the viewers, the lump sum is given, not even to the most talented but one who is good at appealing to the emotions of the larger populace, and the 1st - 3rd runner up would leave as though they were cheer leaders. There's nothing wrong in giving, for a prize of 25 million, the winner 15m, 1st, 2nd and 3rd runner up, 5m, 3m and 2m respectively. Na only the winner 'suffer the suffer'? People spent money and voted these 'escorts'(or so it appears). It is not my money o but one cannot but wonder if these organisers think through their anus. I did not mention any body's name o. 1 Like |

We should learn to respect one another's privacy. We've all said and done things we're not proud of. The persons who intend prosecuting(if the law permits) are not saints. If we were to dig out all the telephone conversations they've made, we would hear worse things. They should just let sleeping dogs lie. |

Nice work, Fiyah. I think you should do a thorough editing. Tenses are misplaced esp in your last update & other minor errors. You're doing a great job! Kudos 1 Like |

Marriage is too long to spend it with the wrong person. Take your time and get your convictions right. Don't fall for his philanthropy and persistence; very typical of chykers 2 Likes |

Inasmuch as I suspect Uche as the one behind the killing, I want to believe someone mobilised him for the job. He couldn't have just decided on his own to commit murder. There's a principal offender here. Who could it be? Hmmmmmn. Well done Oyin |

This is the height of it! There's no justification for killing a man of God whether he's guilty or not. What happened to the 'touch not My anointed and do My prophet no harm' injunction? May God rest his soul. |
