Temistatics 007: Mr gbadebo, pls what's ur opinion on HP pavillion G6,how good is it?its a budget laptop so dont expect much. but its a pretty good laptop i have a friend using it.. the screen is also pretty good. He is an oracle programmer and i ve nt seen him complain abt the laptop. hope i have been able to help. |
Opti: Can I replace my samsung galaxy s duo with a tecno n7 effectively and without regrets?emmmm.. that wan get as he b o...i have to knw ur reason for wanting a change it first... may i knw if its because of screen size? if its screen size then u can go for it. personally i prefer the techno n7 cpu-wise to samsung galaxy s duos... hope i have been able to help? |
mindtricks: Yes, you've really more than helped. Any idea of precisely what else to check or look out for at point of purchase?padi mii.. no vex o.. na work get as e b... core2duo is actually rated higher than the dual core on Intel's list...concerning the gpu the p is that i favour nvidia graphics cards than ati radeon graphics cards.. but both are good. so most laptops wif nvidia graphic cards are usually good for gaming except some typically old nvidia graphics cards. Newer ones are okay. the laptop is pretty good from what u said but before u buy, kindly check the frame of d laptop for any faulty hinges which can break off any time αηδ might render the laptop irreparable |
mindtricks: What's your take on fairly used laptops, how difficult is it to get one that's not faulty.fairly used laptops are okay.. but it depends on the amount of years the laptops have been used for.. if u wud like to buy a used laptop .. i ll suggest u look fr laptops between 8 mnths to 1.5 years but some 2 yr laptops are also good it depends on d maintenance culture of d person that used it. hope i have been able to help? |
Zet72: @ gbadebo1 can I get any good laptop new or torkunbo of 25000 to 30000 naira.you can get but i ll advise u buy from person to person.. those guys at computer village are nt nice at all...but if u can up d amount to say 45-50 u can get a new mini laptop .... hope u was able to help? |
Which is more advisable the S3mini or the Galaxy Grand(single or dual sim not considered)
sorry for the late answer was holed up at work.... it depends what u consider before buying a mobile phone.... first of all the galaxy grand and the s3 mini both have the same screen resolution. since the screen of galaxy grand is bigger than the s3... u dont hold the g.grand as wud hold the gs3 mini to your face... so its not really noticeable/... based on cpu and gpu dynamics, i dont trust the gpu in the g.grand but as i heard its really good but i prefer the mali 400 gpu(remember galaxy s2 yeah?). galaxy s3 mini is just like buying a galaxy s2 with a galaxy s3 body minus better camera. the galaxy grand has a better cpu and camera to gs3 mini. and also b aware that the screen of the galaxy grand is not superamoled but the screen of the gs3 mini is superamoled ... for further clarification u can go to gsmarena.com or search google for details... |
pauladonis: ur take on tecno n7, I heard that the ram of the fone cant be increased using swapper.yeah.. thats what i heard too... but the ish is swapping ur ram is kernel dependent.. if ur kernel supports it then u can use swapper. |
SUP Y'ALL? HOPE U GUYS DIDN'T MISS ME TOO MUCH? NA WORK DEY HOL UR BOY O.. BUT I AM STILL HERE U CAN ASK ME YOUR QUESTIONS I LL TRY MA POSSIBLE BEST TO ANSWER.. HAVE A LOVELY NIGHT.. |

Defaramade: 4G in naija 4 now, i don't think so. Ur phone may display 4G but dat is not real 4G because ur phone does not support 4G network & even if it does 4G is not yet operating in nigeria. If u doubt me go google ur phone out & check d specifications @ www.gsmarena.com or www.phonearena.comwe have 4g LTE in naija o padi mi.its just that most phones dont support it yet.. as fr as i knw.. glo launched it in 2011, airtel just finished test running it last year. wimax is also been tasked in sum quarters as 4G. |
Apple started seeding out iOS 6.1 Beta 5 to registered iOS developers over the weekend. The update comes over a month after the last update was released to developers. Along with the usual bug fixes and performance improvements, this new version of iOS also includes an interesting tidbit of information that a lot of people have been looking forward to; a mention of a 128GB version of an iOS device. The reference comes as part of SystemPartitionPadding key in the build manifest associated with iOS 6.1 Beta 5. However, there is no clarity on which particular device it is referring to. Luckily, 9to5Mac have come across mention of four 128GB iPad models in a US retailer’s database. We can see four models, indicating the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular models in black and white each. The model is also described as ‘ULTIMATE’, as opposed to ‘GOOD’, ‘BETTER’, and ‘BEST’, used for the current 16, 32 and 64GB models, which suggests that the 128GB model will be an addition rather than replacement for the current 64GB model (and the subsequent changes down the line). So it seems we can be sure of at least the iPad having a 128GB capacity option in its next revision. It remains to be seen if the iPhone and the iPod touch get the same treatment. source: macrumors.com |
lynxnoon: @posterBb has that particular 4g network option i have seen it on a couple of bb fones. the stuff is that RIM is kinda misplacing HSPA+ i.e. 3.75g as 4g. |
W3xy1: 4g speed suppose to load upto 1mbps1 mbps? thats slow for a 4g network.. it shud reach realistic speeds between 10mbps nd 20mbps. Before on ma etisalat, i get download speeds of upto 2.5mbps but nw highest mayb 500kbps. |
There is still a day left for the launch of RIM's BlackBerry 10 platform and we have already seen a lot of the BlackBerry Z10 device, which will be one of the few being announced tomorrow. The latest bit of information actually sheds light on when the phone will go on sale, which will supposedly be on the same day as the launch, that is Wednesday, January 30. The information comes from an internal Vodafone UK document, which confirms that the phone will go on sale tomorrow from 5 PM onwards. Other things mentioned in the document include no need to use specific BlackBerry data plans to use services such as BBM or internet access and the device can be used on regular data plans, something that was not possible on previous BlackBerry devices. The document also mentions that at launch the Z10 will be sold only in black, with a white colored option arriving later in mid-February. According to The Verge , the phone will cost you £47 per month for 3GB of data and unlimited talk and text for 24 months with no upfront cost. You can also go for a £25 plan with an upfront cost of £229 that includes 100MB of data, unlimited texts, and 100 minutes of talk time. We should find out more information about the device itself tomorrow, so watch this space. source: theverge.com |

Named "Ice", it presents a radical departure from what we're used to seeing with the stock Android Browser, Chrome, or even Safari. Shown off in an internal meeting right before Christmas, the folks at Pocket-lint got their hands on a copy and now we all can have a look. Besides the UI, which we'll get back to in a moment, it's important to recognize that "Ice" won;t be using the same Presto rendering platform that Opera's current Android apps use. With Ice, Opera has moved to WebKit, the same engine that Chrome and Safari, as well as the stock Android browser and all the custom browsers in Google Play, are using. This should give Ice an edge, as most mobile pages and web apps are designed with WebKit in mind. The new Opera Ice browser will be based around hiding the technology as much as possible and embracing rich applications. It will ditch all buttons and instead use gestures to control key elements like forwards and backwards. "This is a full touch and tablet-focused browser," said the product manager in the video we've seen. "Most are taking a PC browser and squishing [it] into a tablet, or they are taking a mobile browser and blowing it up to fill the space." Yes, the UI looks very different. I'm not sure how I feel about "hiding technology" from the end user in favor of gestures and big icons, but I'll have to give the finished product a look before a final judgment. Ice is not set to replace Opera mini, the small browser that compresses data to save time and bandwidth, but we expect that it may push the standard Opera Mobile for Android browser into retirement. Word is we'll know more at Mobile World Congress, which is coming right around the corner. We'll be there, and keep an eye out. source: androidcentral.com |

aficionado: Dude, you talk like a baby. I never mentioned 'single-core' processor once in my post; I just listed the basic features. I seriously don't know where you got your 'single-core' gibberish from...granted;I initially compared it to SG3 for the purpose of Android newbies to understand it is version 4.0.3(Ice Cream Sandwich).see this ignoramus o.. what is the meaning of the 1 gb cpu u wrote? (to show this guy is so clueless) Cpu is measured in hertz not bytes. the gionee infinity i knw has a single core 1Ghz cpu and its dual sim. You are just a clueless greenhorn trying to sell something u knw nothing abt. and u said that u compared it to SG3 so newbies can understand its ics, thats laughable o.. becos u said "The phone has the exact specifications as Samsung Galaxy 3 which goes for about 90,000!" so obviously u didnt mean the firmware or os... thats lieing man |
