Dr. AbdulMojeed Tunji Ijaiya (former ASUU chairman FUT Minna Chapter) aired his view from his facebook page today on the resolution of ASUU and FG as regards ASUU strike.

ASUU strike : Summary of the resolutions of the 13
hours meeting held on 4 November between
President GEJ and ASUU Leadership to be put in
black and white and jointly endorsed by a top
government official and ASUU is what a so called
minister of education (Wike) termed fresh
conditions which are outrageous and untenable.
Hmmmm! Nigeria is really in trouble if a minister
can reason this way and misrepresent issues of
such magnitude. Anyway that's is an opinion. For
whoever cares to listen , No body threatens us with
sack as we are even ready to leave the job if the
environment remains unimproved.We reject any
act of intimidation or cohesion as this has actually
reaffirmed our concern on the insincerity of
FG.Though as empty as the threat is, enough of the
insults please because I was trained to this level by
my parents and never benefited from this country
called Nigeria, therefore whoever needs my service
must be ready to pay fully for it if not am at liberty
to withdraw it at the slightest provocation.The
battle line has just been drawn .Struggle begins
now ! Watch out .

i arrived akure centre today at about 4pm. after all the yabin and etc recieved i was told to start pickin papers untill i begin to sweat like goat. at last sha i did my height and they check my papers am told to come baq tomorrow for meds. at least i no sit for ground under sun nobody dey my baq or front but i pic the leather wey una use drink water and groundnut today..lols

While coming from town this evening to were i reside in one of the satellite towns in abuja, on aware of the present transport problem caused by the ban on commercial green buses which as stylishly come back in the form of space buses and white painted buses with indomie stickers claiming to be staff buses, i stood by the road side with other passengers at mabushi shouting our destinations to the drivers of private cars and others as they slow down to lift passengers, i was supprised when a driver stopped with his filled up car opens the boot with sm1 inside to carry another passenger making it two in the boot, the guys were excited havin waited for long waiting for 'el rufai' bus that is already filled up before getting to mabushi or the minister sure-p taxis that only prefare to carry drop at exhorbitant rate..what do you expect when you stop a chevrolet avio, next is the holdup since everybody has bought a car as a solution to their transport issues to negtiate a bend will lead to holdup. We need alternative means of transport in Abuja or what do you think

Government officials and telecom operators in Nigeria have heaped praise on Nokia for the introduction of a solar phone charger. They believe the move will help to sustain continued growth in the mobile industry and offer users in rural areas a new opportunity to access mobile phones.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) told IT News Africa/Bikyamasr.com that the move should boost efforts to increase mobile penetration within rural areas and “where there is not electricity in all homes, this new charger can alleviate the issue dramatically.”

Nokia said in a press statement that the DC-40 portable solar charger is now available in the country. Industry experts feel that this could help solve many of the problems that have plagued the country’s efforts to extend mobile phone penetration to rural areas.

“It is a pilot product designed and marketed by Nokia to test the viability of solar charging as an alternative mobile phone charging system,” said a report in The Punch, announcing the new charger.

With the NCC demanding telecom operators improve customer service and mobile operators complaining about a lack of rural access, the charger could be the boost the sector needs to enter previously untouched markets.
