Why bother bringing him home?

Why bother bringing him home ?
He was far away... farther from his people
There, far away, he had only twitter as a voice
Though quite vocal, but we here couldn’t hear him.
Many like me weren’t following
Those who followed, couldn’t hear him.
You already banned twitter.

Why bother bringing him home
Where the people will read tribalism in this act:
You brought this one home for justice
But you left the other one to roam the Sahel

Why bother bringing him home
To walk the path of so many great leaders
Leaders who went from agitation to prison
And finally to become an Oracle
whose voice many heed

Why bother bringing him home
When you can leave this issue to the next man
In less than 2 years, you can pass the buck
We all get caught in the electioneering and forget about him.

When bother bringing him home
When you know his death makes him a martyr.
His jailing makes him a political force
A force that can’t be rivaled in his region

Why bother bringing him home
Who advised you to do this?
Remember those by your side only tell you what you want to hear.
They never say what you “need” to hear.

Why bother bringing him home
Now that he’s home... many will hear his voice
You have brought home an Oracle
Haha, tell me you are a literature student without really telling me you are a literature student.

Getting a job is not the problem; getting a job that would qualify for sponsorship and also landing in a company willing to sponsor you, is where the problem lies.
I get what you mean bro.. but trust me, so long as your course of study is a good one.. Your Post study life in the UK is guaranteed.

Update from TFN

Dear applicant,

In preparation for the next stage of your application, you will be evaluated in four main activities:

Sample Teaching: During the Final Evaluation Day, you will be required to conduct a short teaching lesson (5 minutes teaching time). You would be given a list of subjects to choose from for this activity. It is advisable you choose a topic you feel comfortable teaching. The scenario for this exercise is an underserved school. We strongly suggest you prepare a lesson note for your sample teaching activity as well.

Group Discussion: All applicants will be expected to participate in a group activity. You would be expected to collaborate with your team members to work on a task.

Problem Solving Activity: This is an independent activity designed to test your critical-thinking skills. It requires no pre-work.

One on One Interviews: At this stage, you would be interviewed by one of the assessors. You would be asked a few questions to test key competencies that are important for our Fellowship. Please be honest and clear in your responses.

It is important that you understand the vision of the Teach For Nigeria Fellowship program. As a result, we implore you to commit your time to learn about our work.

This is very critical for a successful application. You can visit our website and social media pages to get familiar with our program.

Again, we look forward to meeting you at the Final Evaluation and wish you the best of luck as you prepare. For more information, please call 0908 247 2261 or email us at recruitment@teachfornigeria.org.
