TabletMan: Business is not easy in Nigeria especially when you know nothing about the business you're doing. But doing business with big capital in a business city like Lagos, Onitsha, Kano, and Aba you have a 75% chance of success. And you're wrong when you said that 90% of traders will run away when they see 6 million unless you mean street traders. Wrong stats bro |

During your time it might be 5 percent You have no clue what you are saying.. you can stay back if you find a job related to your field after your studies in the US. There is a process and it's quite reasonable. It even favours people who are in STEM the most sef. Pls, don't give advise on things you have limited knowledge on. |

Foreign currency now is something else Guy, don't mind what that dude is saying.. you have made a perfect decision.. urs is even better, cos it's a private school, if you are serious u would graduate at the stipulated time and start applying to the arrays of fully funded PHD programs abroad. I am in ur shoes, but I no get money for private Uni, so I am thinking Unilag. As per accomodation, don't worry there are lot of reasonable accomodations off campus in Babcock. It's a bubbling city with active students.. |

ResearchGateNg: The picture attached is a decline given to someone who applied with PDE. That diploma is a UK level 4 teaching qualification. NCE is likewise not accepted. You can try sha.
The thing is, these guys are highly selective, probably moreso for Nigerians? The subject requirements and level of teaching qualification needed are stated on the website https://apply-for-qts-in-england.education.gov.uk/eligibility/start. It's not wise to go through the trouble of gathering documents or paying money to TRCN if you don't have the EXACT requirements.
I will not rule out luck or God's favour for anyone applying without possessing the exact requirements. Hello, I don't think this person applied with "Professional Diploma In Education". PDE just like PGDE takes a year and sometimes 3 semester 1.5 years. It is equivalent to UK level 6 not 4. The screenshot you posted just says Diploma in Education/ teachers diploma, Nigerian schools don't offer that. |

Mrshape: Thanks for seeing the same picture I see. The truth is that change is difficult, people will complain, they even once complained that typewriter is better than computer in every aspect when they wanted to change the typewriters to computer in the federal and state ministries. How much do you think they pay teachers in both private and public schools?? For you to talk about a pay slash? Are you normal? To solve the problem of incompetent teachers, the school or recruiting body should do a better job in assessing candidates for teaching roles. I am a teacher, and I can state with all certainty that there is currently a shortage of teachers in the labour force. My school is still looking for a chemistry and physics teacher, they basically depend on per time teachers. And here you are talking about an annual assessment, who's gonna have the time for that? Think, reason before putting ur opinions in public forums like this, so you don't sound silly. Alright? |

Brutee: Show me anything like a Nigerian empire. I'm waiting Baba, are you okay up there?? Why do you Ghanaians love unnecessary arguments with Nigerians?? My colleagues have already explained to you, yet you still carrying this on. There was no Nigerian empire! The, Oyo, Benin empire, igbo kingdoms, sokoto, borno caliphates etc existed as individual entities. These fractions is what make up modern day Nigeria. I don't educate people for free. Bye. |

Brutee: Lol, don't be ridiculous, how can Nigerian culture be older than Ghana when historically Ghana is as old as Egypt, Nigeria came into being in 1914. Ghana was already an empire way back the 10th century Lol, bro don't embarrass yourself oo. Nigeria had existing kingdoms, empires and caliphates long before 1914. |

Acquiredollars: You'll upload all the documents yourself on their portal including your transcript and proof of English proficiency.
If you intend to include your PGDE qualification, you'll be required to upload a copy of the transcript for the PGDE.
Otherwise, UK isn't requesting for PGDE to issue you a QTS, it's TRCN Certificate that is required by TRCN to enable them write the mandatory letter of Professional standing for you.
Regards, Hello bro, I have a degree in geography and PDE certificate. Am I qualified to apply? |

mrmichael1: QTS is open. Mostly for science teachers, Maths, Physics, Chemistry especially, Get your TRCN cert and delve into it. You can get a letter from your uni to prove your were taught in English so no need for English test. Mind you, teaching in UK is not the same as Naija o To be forewarned is to be forearmed. A word is enough for the wise. Congrats to the qualified teachers. Is geography qualified? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: UK Opens Door For Nigerian Teachers by Ge0grapher(m): 5:29pm On Mar 11, 2023 |
Ocool: Application has now been opened to Nigerian teachers just some minutes ago.
Congratulations to all science teachers in advance.
Note TRCN confirmation is very compulsory and you will need to pay 60k to TRCN for that.
Also, you won't be able to apply if you don't have a university degree. Holding only NCE and grade two alone will not qualify you.
Finally, you need a proof of English from your university.
Wish you all the best. Please are Nigerian geography teachers qualified ? |

Yes, regional government is the best. Let Abuja be weakened, and various states/regions elect leaders that can cater to their needs based on their cultural norms and beliefs. Use their natural resources for themselves, and contribute something to Abuja. Similar to the UK, and a little like the US. That is the only way Nigeria (various constituents) can develop and prosper. The elections in 2015 and a little bit of 2011 taught me lessons that the country is not united, and last I checked, divisive countries never prosper in the long run. Even when they do, they are not safe as prosperous homogenous countries.
I don't plan building/buying a house in Nigeria as we have properties already. I rather do Namibia than Benin Republic. I forsee Nigeria fighting another civil war. The case of residents in Ogun fleeing to Benin because of Fulani herdsmen and those in the North East to Cameroon or those in Western Cameroon fleeing to Uyo/Calabar are enough deterrent. I dread countries that have weak immigration policies towards Nigerians. The fewer Nigerias are there, the better. You are a funny man, so what, if Nigerians migrate to Benin during the civil war? Would it collapse the house u built in Benin republic?? How exactly would it affect ur properties and businesses in the country? Abeg stop worrying over unnecessary things jaree |

Most Nigerians here are Igbo people doing business. BTW, I am Igbo myself. Over here there is steady light, Steady water supply, the streets are well paved and with street light. Security is Good, You can literally walk around by any time of the night you choose without fear of being robbed or anything whatsoever. I am not in Cotonou or Porto Novo, i am in a city called Bohicon and I must mention that i got the work before i came over here. How can I reach you? I am also a teacher in Nigeria.. |
