Well done bro but please note that according to the tweet, POF may be in the PA's name or a joint account. I don't think it should be in the accompanying spouse account.

@Baisy:

1. How about transferring the funds to your account and supporting it with a LOE that the funds is to support your Canny dream?

OR

2. Upgrade the account to a joint account and do treasury bill or fixed deposit for say, 3-6 months. That way, a LOE may not be necessary. See the tweet below.
Hello 40manlappy and seniors in this matter. Please I have a question on this.

I am the PA and I am currently on NA2 (since 16 August). For my POF, the bulk of the funds is in my spouse's account. I did not attach any consent letter or anything. I need to know which of the following options is the most sensible.

1. Do nothing and hope that its not an issue or that they send an ADR for an updated POF. At that point, I transfer the funds to my account and explain with an LOE.

2. Transfer the funds to my account now, get a new POF from the bank and then raise a CSE to attach this new proof of funds and an LOE explaining what has been done.

3. Raise a CSE and attach just a consent letter that the funds will be available to the me.

Please bear in mind that I raised a CSE last week to attach my ECA and IELTS and I have not gotten a response yet.

My sister, i am still on it oo. Infact coming to this thread now is depressing. I called the CIC contact center again yday and was told they cant view my checklist documents although they can see i made payment. so i was asked to fill a web form and submit that there is nothing they can from there end.

i have submitted the web form and i got a message saying it takes 10 working days for them to get back to me. They should just cancel it and i will fill everythg again if they cant find it.
Its some sort of technical glitch or something
Wow. Sorry about this experience. Please what contact number did you call?

[quote author=geebaby10 post=59899099]Guys please I have a question. I just saw a comment and I think that I need to clarify.

I am the principal applicant and my husband is the accompanying spouse. For POF, we used my husband's account statement. Did we need to attach anything more to this?

I saw up where someone said they attached a notarised letter saying that the funds will be available to the principal applicant. Is this necessary?

Please an response on this?

Hello house, please I have just started my processing. Would like to know if any of the companies for ECA usually evaluates ICAN or is it only the BSc that I am to evaluate? Thanks
I do not think that any of them evaluate ICAN. But others here can help/confirm.

My 2 cents on IELTS, ECA n PP
Imagine these 2 scenerios:
Mr A uploads all the doc, IELTS, ECA stamped copies of old and new passports

Mr B uploads all but no IElTS, ECA and no old passport.

Assume u are the VO, u pick both files, u obviously will prefer to work on Mr A file first becos
1, he seem really transparent and open.
2 he has made your work easier, you may not need to contact other embassies and British council.

On the other, u will send Mr Bs file to confirmation unit, they have to confirm and provide evidence of ielts, travel history and eca and it eventually comes out positive.

Results: MR A and B both got PPR, Mr A most likely within 1 month or two. MR B "we have the same AOR, what's delaying my file" it comes out after 5months.

I don't think it will cost us any thing to provide very important doc like IELTS, ECA and stamped old passport.
Exactly! We should not say don't attached old passport pages because one time a lazy VO didn't scroll through a pdf document.

I think its best for you to call them and get first hand information.

i was told that all that is required from you is your current passport. There is no where in your application you are required to prove your travel history. You are only required to state it. For those that have gotten adr for travel history, they were only asked to fill a form but people decide to go a step further to add stamps and markings of their old passport. One cant say for sure why adr for travel history is sent, sometimes even people that upload stamps and markings of old passports have received adr for travel history.
I know atleast 3 people who did not include stamps and markings of their old passport and were not penalized for it (not that im saying you will be penalized for including it) 2 of them have ppr and one has landed canada. Infact there are people who's stamps and markings are not readable at all, what then do they do? undecided

Moral of the story;

1. Make your application as simple and as straight forward as possible
2. Stick to only the documents that you are required to submit
3. Add LOE and SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS only if its absolutely necessary. For instance, if you cant get some of your documents in CIC format or there are discrepancies in some of your documents and so on.
4. Dont prove what you are not asked to prove. It will only prolong the time spent on your application by the VO because im sure the VOs are under the obligation to assess and verify every single document provided by an applicant irrespective of the fact that they are unnecessary. If you ask me, i'll say my sister abeg dont give your VO too much workload, make it easy for him/her grin
5. Well in the end its your application oh!!! Do what pleases you with it. LOL!!! wink
6. Call, tweet or email IRCC and often as you can to clarify grey areas before you submit, there is nothing better than first hand information. They have an obligation to answer your questions when you call, they wont hang up or insult you even if you ask an annoying question (na the work wey them dey do)
But this is not entirely correct.

People have been rejected for not including documents not specifically asked for .e.g ECA. CIC did not ask of scanned proof of ECA yet people have lost money/time by not including it. Also people have shortened their process times by including documents before they are requested for. E.g. the Form/Schedule A.

In other words, let everybody read and then upload what they think they understand. Arrange it properly, use an LOE if necessary and pray because asides from a few standard practices, this process isn't a one size fits all.

People have done the same thing and ended up with different results. Just saying.

Sometimes yes. Sometimes not. Just wait patiently.
You may receive an email that it's been added already and there will be no need for ADR.
Thank you!

When you raise a CSE do they always send an ADR? So I know whether to raise another CSE or just wait for the ADR and attach both.

Please help answer this ohhhh.

Thanks for the help. I have raised the CSE for my ECA.

Just to confirm, are we to upload IELTS results too?

Honestly, it ia really confusing. The IRCC website clearly states no need to upload ECA. Now I am hearing that people have been rejected for not uploading it. It makes me wonder what else was not expressly asked for but needs to be attached/uploaded. I've just been worried since yesterday.

Also, when you raise a CSE, do they always send an ADR?

Frankly, it shouldn't be a problem. IRCC says on its website that it's not required to upload a scan copy of ECA. But some people have also been rejected for not uploading ECA. Talk about confusion!
If they need it, the usual thing is to request it.
What can do you do? Use the web form to submit additional docs, if you wanna ease your worry.
Thanks for your response. I would rather ease my worry. Please how do I submit additional documents?

For those who will be applying shortly, these are some of the reasons they could reject your application

Hello. Please I have a question. What information source does CIC use to know rates for CAD/NGN conversion? Because so many rates are flying around and I just want to confirm that my funds as adequate.

Hello All. Please I have a question. I have gotten ITA and I am preparing my documents for submission this week or next week. I am the principal applicant but I am going with my husband. We did our medicals and mine was good but he has high BP and we were not able to get it down all day. My question is this- How much does his high BP (150/100)affect our chances of positive feedback on our application?

Also please is there a whatsapp group I can join?
