Lol, I guess my dog is normal then. I followed up your thread with maya, great dog. I contacted Bsquared for a pup first but his premium litter (drogo X Vera) was sold out as at then. Petlove was my next best option. If I decide to get a female later, I wouldn’t mind your dog and another excellent male.

Lol you want to add another dog to what you have. I wish I have that kind of strength to keep two Caucasian. Maya is already a handful

He is some pictures of him in akure and the cage I got for him. I think the cage is quite big but Teddy made it look small. He’s 10weeka as of today and already occupy more than half of the cage while lying down.

Lovely … I thought of getting a cage like this for maya when I first got her but she ended up living in my sitting room till she was 6months plus. Then I decided “madam you are now a big girl to stay outside the house “…. Got a bricklayer to build her a comfy house where she has been staying ever since. Come to think of it, it’s actually cheaper and safe for them especially during cold/rainy days compared to the wire cages which are more expensive. Anyways this is not a maya thread lol.. your dog looks fantastic ��

So Christmas was fun with Teddy, although I wasn’t home all through but I was told he was calm and little unbothered even with fireworks and visitors trooping in. I made it clear that no one should feed him cooked chicken unless the bones have been properly removed.

Also, Teddy got a new nasty habit, he hits his water bowl till all the water pours down, then he uses his paw to spread the water and lie on it. I’m guess it’s because of heat but he does that even when it’s nighttime and cold.

I’m also worried about his poop, he has a pasty yellow poop since his last vaccination. I feed him diamond puppy mixed with pedigree can food. Yesterday made him 9weeks old.

Caucasians and their water bowls . Wetin maya use my eye see ehnn when she was a pup. She sticks her paws inside the water bowl and Flips it over, spilling the water. She then lays on it. Your dog will it grow it, don’t worry. Lol

Oh my … apologies for the break. I have been out of town for a while now and just got back few days back. Well, it didn’t turn out as expected, Maya got sick and lost her pregnancy and i don’t even know how it happened. Shortly after that I had to go on a trip and wasn’t really available to update the thread. She’s fully recovered now and hopefully, we are going to try again on her next heat. Here’s a picture of her after a long play in the rain today. I will try to update more henceforth. Thank you

Sorry, I can’t get a good pose angle for pictures as Maya refuses to lay on her back for me to snap her enlarged breasts. But at this point we are around day (45th day after the day of first mating )and (Day 39 after the last day of mating). I think I can safely conclude she’s pregnant and expected to whelping this month . Stay tuned

We’re back!
I have been really busy at work so updates slowed down. I checked on maya nipples today and I think we may have puppies developing in her belly… (pregnancy confirmed ?.. I don’t want to get too excited yet but signs seem to be positive ).. I noticed her breast seem to be enlarging a bit and pink/red in colour, which shows there’s a lot of blood circulation to that part of her body(you can see the color from the picture below). Also dead skin cells which looks like dark spots are peeling off her nipples. From all indication, I can say I am over 60percent sure she is carrying pups inside her, growing day by day . Here is Maya today about 4weeks after first mating and about 3weeks after the last mating (insemination was done 4times in the space of 9days). Her energy level has really dropped, she spends most of the time sleeping and refuses to heed my calls. She just gives me a tired look and goes back to sleep. She’s a bit more agile in the evenings/night and that’s when I get to spend time with her anyways. Her appetite has also dropped as she hardly touches or finishes her food. Sometimes I get a bit eager to get a definite status report by taking her for an utrasound to confirm the pregnancy but I guess I will just chill and allow nature take it’s course. Honestly I so much love Caucasian Dogs just by seeing your Maya, has increase my love for them. So big and beautiful. I always use to be a Borebole fan and lover, I believe they are more protective than Caucasian but honestly ur maya is too sweet to own as a pet...
Have 2boreboles and am looking forward on making them 3 but with your thread, I think I will go for Caucasian as a 3rd one.
My Borebole is 6months and the male is 1year 3months...

DG kennels does Artificial Insemination between 200-250k( This is if you are paying off and not giving one puppy to him when your dog whelps but this cost is much lower if you sign an agreement to give one puppy at birth ), I paid him off so I don’t need to give up a puppy and he was kind enough to he give me a huge discount off. I still had to pay for 9days of boarding and progesterone test.

Asides that ,
She sleeps all days afternoon and I notice a clear mucus-like fluid in her vulva in the morning. I still don’t want to jump the gun and conclude she’s pregnant as I haven’t really seen any more significant increase in her nipples . I was told I need to wait till like day 40+ to see obvious enlargement.

So I noticed something as I took her on a walk today . Asides the usual admiration from passersby, I took notice of her dorsal view . There seem to be a bit of expansion around her waist/rib area. She used to be very energetic during walks before but she walks really slow these days and shows signs of tiredness. I guess I will be reducing her walks henceforth. I attached some pictures.
