Residents and commuters are scampering for their lives due to an unknown fire outbreak at Sonway hotels. The cause of the fire is not yet known as at the time this report was filed.

What God has done for me, I can't tell it all. He took away my fears & gave me peace. At a point I thought of living a life believing that God doesn't exist because it was obvious that those I helped had gone far ahead of me. But God used Past. E.A Adeboye to speak to me on the 9th of May, 2014, saying "The devil won't interfere in my success again". This became my focal point. I held to that prophecy and today I am a living testimony. I can sleep without stress, I can eat freely because my burden has been lifted. I have been cleared from all set backs. I have an advice for you, no matter what you are going through in life, don't give up on God. He will surely restore the years that you feel have been wasted. He has done it for me, He will do it for you and you will be the next to share your testimony. To God be all the Glory.

At least five persons have been confirmed dead
at Woji, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of
Rivers State, after eating dog meat from a
popular inn in the area.
The mysterious death has raised tension in the
community as people have begun to question the
tragic result that has followed the eating of dog
meat alleged to have been cooked by one Friday
Dickson, popularly called Etiaba.
Vanguard gathered that Etiaba had been in the
area for a long time, running an inn where he
cooks only dog meat in Mini-Woji Road at Woji
Town.
Mr Brain Ogbondah, a member of the community,
revealed that five people who ate the dog meat
prepared by Etiaba, among others, had been
confirmed dead some hours after eating the dog
meat.
He said the situation has mounted tension in the
community, resulting in an emergency meeting
by the council of chiefs and elders, with a view to
locating other members of the community who
also ate the dog meat.
He said the suspect fled the community after the
five people were confirmed dead.

Immediately after being sworn in as the
governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike
informed public that he appoints Justice Daisy
Okocha as the Chief Judge of the state.
Another important decision made by the new
Rivers state governor is the reinstatement of
lecturers of the Rivers state University of
Science and Technology, sacked by Chibuike
Rotimi Amaechi’s governing body.
Besides that, Wike also ordered that all the
state owned courts, that suspened work,
should be opened again immediately.

Students of Rivers state Polytechnic Bori are getting frustrated about the current delay in the release of the second semester examination result. The examination which was concluded in January 2015 has created much tension as students of the polytechnic have started writing the exam of a new semester but doesn't know their fate in the previous semester.
Thay are calling on relevant authorities to come to their aid.

They claim to boycott the election but the Leader of Accord party in my LGA said we should disregard such information and vote for for the party flag bearer.
